When calculating the BP, why do you divide the total load by 1m and 0.6m？ then shouldnt the BP has a unit of kN/m^3？

Therefore, to get the area or dimensions of a footing, we equate it to (column load including its own weight + soil weight above the footing + weight of footing) / allowable soil bearing capacity?

Great video but there is always a case where the periphery walls on the property line are eccentrically loaded. What is done for a safe design in that particular case?

In that case, you'll need to change the size of the foundation.
