I'll be catching your live show tonight. I just ordered your 1/5 pack of quail to get a start. I expect them here in Florida by Tues. The price was very reasonable for the birds... but, WOW! The shipping fees were a shock to me. I defiantly need to check up on the outside world more often. See you at 7 PM. Ma 2
Thanks for this helpful video--good to know what to keep track of. I have a suggestion that will make things faster for you. You can reference other excel sheets in different files as long as it is on the same computer, so for the cells that you have to copy information over, just put =, then click the cell which the new cell should equal. You can drag this formula down to address all of the data from the original datasheet. If you needed to change something the original datasheet that you did this on, the change will automatically populate in the other datasheet. Another excel formula that is good to know is the "if, then" formula. Enjoy! :)
I've enjoyed this series and have learned a lot. Trying to get the wife onboard about keeping quail in our backyard, and will hopefully place an order for eggs in a few months. Already doing a little bit of market research for our area. Record keeping can be a daunting task for folks if they aren't accustomed to thinking about what data should be tracked. Your spreadsheets are a great way for a newbie to get off to a great start, and can fine-tune them later based on real-world needs. Thanks so much!!
Good idea. I use paper lol I do have excel for business so this will work well. I ordered the jumbo wilds eggs about 2 months ago had a 52% hatch rate now at 5 week-males-8.3oz average with 23 birds. - female-8.992oz average with 25 birds. It seems I am about right on target with your breeding program weight. This is very good. Thought you may want to know this feedback. I am very happy thank you
Do you have quickbooks and or excel (blank) template files for new folks to upload that have the headings, rows & columns? My wife may be better at this but she will need some training. Having a "record keeping" cookbook with uploadable template files would be great for us new folks who want to grow a business.
Another super helpful and informative video! Thank you.
Thanks for watching
Great video! Thanks for all you do for us🥰🥰🥰
Awesome video! This is a great way to see trends as well.. Excel is such a robust program.

I love “because the wife said to do it” part! She’s taught you well my friend! Love how you keep it real!

Very helpful thank you.
Thanks for the info, I got some really good ideas from this video.
Great ideas here! And who cares if it’s not fancy. If it works-it works and that’s all that matters! Great job! We love the “wife” list. Smart. 🤣
