    I think it’s fine to raise animals for food, obviously. As long as the birds are treated with the utmost care till the end is what matters!

    IMO breeders should be kept in much better environment then what he has going on. they're supposed to produce healthy babies, and in order to do that you need happy and healthy hens (i've only had mine for around 7 months and even i know this 😭). if you see this and plan on getting some breeder quails, PLEASE keep them in a larger cage on a healthy diet with proper gender ratios (about 1 rooster for every 5-7 hens)

    Being self sufficient is the best way to have any type of ranch, zoo, breeding operation with animals or reptiles. Ppl who whine and cry about that's mean blah blah just don't have anything better to be doing. And you doing big things so keep it up contents dope and informative.

    Blake... been watching for a long time. Rarely comment, but usually entertained. Can't place my finger on it, but recently you seemed to really up your game. Maybe it's the addition to your family that gives you a fresh kick... idk, regardless keep it up my man. You have a great brand and an amazing attitude. You appear to have supportive family around you as well... LOVE YOUR CONTENT!

    As a vegetarian, I say you should keep your quail business running BUT ONLY FOR ANIMAL FEEDING. I don't like killing animals so I would recommend that along with your quail business, you should also do a business of Plants of Food for animals. You should also Make your Feeders business bigger....

    If it wasn't Quails it would be mice, so take your pick. It's just like when he harvest fish out of his ponds, he keeps some for breeding and others he feeds to the Otters, and other animals. His ranch is a business, no different than an Egg farm or a cattle ranch.

  • @archangelauriel007
    @archangelauriel007 Рік тому +1

    What do you do with the eggs that don't hatch? Can you also sell the eggs as feeder food for predator animals too? That way, you wouldn't have to worry about finding a place to dispose of all those unhatched eggs, and you can make money off them too! Like eggs we buy in the grocery store to eat, except eggs for pets/animals to eat. Maybe you can't sell them as food after they've been inside the incubator?? Idk, I've never really raised birds, but it just sounds like a great idea to me, unless the eggs spoil or something after being in the incubator. 🤷

      quail, much like chickens or turkeys, are heavy on meat in the breast area. they're leaner which makes them more filling. people typically eat 1-4 in one meal

  • @anitagarrett222
    @anitagarrett222 Рік тому +19

    Wow, just wow. I understand that these birds are becoming feeders, but you are doing everything wrong. As a commercial quail breeder, allowing those chicks to fall from the upper trays, which by the way, are set trays not hatching trays is horrible and bad for the chicks. If the set trays are used as hatching trays, the eggs should be removed from the blue trays and laid on their side. You should have fashioned a wire lid for them so they wont fall to the bottom. You should also not be opening the incubator for any reason for 24 -48 hrs after the first egg hatches as to not shock the eggs and cause them to not be able to hatch. If you need to reach out to me please do as animal husbandry has been lost here.

    • @sleepytrashhh
      @sleepytrashhh Рік тому +2

      exactly! especially seeing the size of the breeder cage was very distressing for me. each spot had 3 birds meaning he was most likely keeping 1 rooster with 2 hens in each compartment..
      people jump to say "meat is better when raised properly and happily" but then they show you this video.
