It's pretty much accepted at this point that it will be impossible to do full scale conversions or build massive custom cities in this game. For whatever reason, Bethesda decided to make the player ship the central point in which everything renders and spawns in, instead of the player character, like basically every other game has done in the past included Bethesda's own games. It's why we are limited to a weirdly small circle in open world exploration and why a single city has 5 different loading zones in it instead of just a standard seemless city. It's a fundamental issue with the game and in order to fix it, it sounds like every single object in the game would have to be removed, and replaced in the game because right now, every object that spawns in the game spawns based off the position of the player ship (using a fixed point spawning system). So 2 things would have to happen. #1 is to change the origin point of the world to be cnetered around player position and, #2 to recreate every single item in the game and give it a floating origin point so the location of the item spawning in changes depending on player position, instead of the fixed point it is now since the player ship is always in a fixed location.
Every game with this level of detail has different loading zones, Cyberpunk uses elevators and long hallways as hidden loading screens, it has nothing to do with where the spawning point is located. Each random tile in Starfield is around 60km square, for context Skyrim's entire map is 37km square and Manhattan Island is 59km square, that's more than enough for any custom city.

Hopefully when the DLC drops it drops with full mod support as well because I have well over 800 hours playing vanilla and I know I'll push way over thousands with mods.
I honestly beleive in 1 years time this game will be completely unrecognisable, itll still be starfield but it will be a sci fi lovers dream game and it will be a modders paradise as mr howard said. Skyrim has had over a decade to bring together its modding community and it has one of if not the biggest modding community in all of gaming and nearly all of them are extremly talented, i would be shocked if they didnt wanna tale a couple of months to see what they are capable of in starfield. As todd said they will be able to make a career out of modding. So if there are modders that are actually pationate about modding they will do starfirld as well and you will be able to make this game exactly how you imagined it
Ever since being disappointed with Starfield, thank goodness I got it for free with my GPU purchase, I have been waiting for Star War mods, and hoping for a group of modders to come together and make something akin to the beloved KotoR games. Something less Jedi focused and more bounty hunter/smuggler/soldier.
It’s been a week and I already have sabak cards in my game, it’s gonna get wild. Let’s hope we can turn the red mile into an actual gambling den!
I need these on Xbox already 😅
and now imagine: starfield wars legends canon, i'd probably kill for this
like a lot of star wars mods any big total conversion will most likely combine things from canon and legends but visually things will probably look most like canon since ya know canon stuff has ILM creating and rendering some of the most amazing visuals star wars has ever scene
@@exilestudios9546 since canon took most of its ideas from legends it doesnt matter much. i'd just hate to play a star wars mod thats full of the clone wars and sequel nonsense, but i know thats the absolute minority opinion. i love the visuals of mandalorian, ahsoka, etc., but the stories its just not the star wars i grew up with and it annoys me more than it should, i admit that. have you played the empire at war mods? they're a great last bastion of legends canon
It would be better. WAY better.
This might make me reinstall the worst gaming purchase I’ve ever made.
If this was the worst gaming purcahse you've ever made then you've done pretty well.

@@Meowtro I have a rule that I only buy games at 50% off or more on Steam. But the marketing and FOMO got me on this i confess. I’m ashamed.
I feel like an old man yelling at cloud when I say I hate Starfield even though I never played it but... I must admit that even sans the modding, this is the most beautiful game BGS has made so far. I know the animations are lacking but still the textures are immaculate.
Mass Effect Would probably also be sick! With Cerberus research outposts ans all that stuff. asari on one planet, talis race in space and so on
Lightsabes still needs like a light trail like in Skyrim lightsaber mod.
Thats the most chad looking ashoka 😂
Give it 10 years. And stafield will be the updated star wars galaxies
@3:55 her tentacles are blowing lol
Ive been waiting for a multiplayer open world sandbox survival space game, if it had star wars themeage even better.
That game would just break the gaming scene if it was done right
ah nice, I cant wait for modders to make this a fun game in 5 years
Crozzbow makes great weapons overhauls
Would love to do a Star Wars playthru but after Creation Kit comes, then there will be more amazing stuff
I have a feeling that despite the bad wrap the game has, could improve the game with QOL or immersion mods
the basic melee animations actually kinda fits the mandolorian guy (i forget his name) since he isnt really a jedi and i think he does get a light saber at some point
Din Djarin
They don’t fit anything, they’re the same slow ass 2 animations on a loop, they just stuck.
Starfield is suffering heavily from the lack of proper mod tools. Come on Todd, let us have Space Dragons, give us the tools and we can do it.
the creation kit will most likely drop with the first DLC
i want a Star Wars total conversion mod that completely scraps the story and lore of starfield and replaces it with a star wars quest
People are hungry for a good Star Wars game I can’t understand how developers can butcher/ fuck up a game that cant basically fail unless you’re actively trying to make it fail
Is that Ezra's lightsaber + blaster??!?!?!?!
Modders are literally working for free to help sell a game that failed.
I wish that Bethesda will make a pack with laser sabers.
Alternate Title: What if Starfield was complete on release?
Now I understand why they made the game so shitty, because they knew players would fix it
can you please make a video on all of your mods? Going through them all and having to find them is a pain.
now i kinda want to play it...
is the clip of mod organizer all of the mods you used?
Look up Star Wars Genesis V3 by DeityVengy. He's perfected the mod order so you don't need much configuration just follow the instructions.
