Adam you have just given me a great idea! My ecobee occupancy sensors are in HomeKit! I’m gonna set up one in my guest bathroom to automate the lights. You just saved me 80 bucks 😎
There is a option where u can sync the zones created in the Aqara App to HomeKit AND there is also an option to sync the other way around ! Got 2 of them and i love them ;-)
Hi Adam. 6:22 - I have the FP2 and it does not support all major SmartHome hubs like SmartThings nor Hubitat natively. It does support Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and HomeKit.
This sounds super useful but how does it work when you have things moving around all the time? I have ceiling fans that run 24/7 in most my rooms and I have dogs that come and go through out the house as they please rather I’m home or not, so would these movements be seen as humans and trigger this sensor constantly?
It’s not supposed to but just cause it’s triggered, doesn’t mean anything will happen if you don’t have an automation setup, just a status change for monitoring :)
yesterday i bought the fp2 connected it to the aqara app . and I did bind it with google home, but I still don't know how to set the fp2 to interact with lights, is there any tip how can I do this? plus I have aleza system in my home I added it to alexa app and after 10 minutes it became unresponsive in alexa app and only responsive in google home , but still cant interact with light because I cant find zones in google home app routines, please help
@@AdamsTechLife i did , iam not hoping a lot from them, I've searched everywhere and tried everything , its not working for me unfortunately , I am so disappointed
1) You have to set up the zones in the Aqara app first (e.g., “Kitchen Area”). 2) Once you do that, then go into the Profile > Smart Speakers > Bind to Alexa/Google/IFTTT. It will ask you to log into each account. 3) Once you bind, then in your Alexa or Google app, you should see new “devices” labelled with the zone names you created in the Aqara app. 4) Then you can do your automations to whatever other devices in the app. For example, pick “Kitchen Area” as trigger and if motion detected in area, then activate action.
i bought this and tried it for a few days and it was really terrible. i sent it back for a refund. I havent been disappointed with a product as mich as i was with this. i guess if they send it to you then you have to be nice about it, but no - just no !
I was honest about this product, doesn't mean i'm nice ;) and i have heard people having issues with this months later. this was my thoughts after a brief testing.

Oh yeah! Thanks for watching! 😊
Where is it available to buy? I don’t see it anywhere.
Link in description, might be out of stock atm
So you can connect a few of those FP2m, they can work together?
i believe so yes
Can you move one of the zones to another room?
I don’t use this device anymore but yes, Im pretty sure you can move individual zones to diff rooms without moving the entire sensor

I’m not sure how it works with Alexa and google, I’ve only tested it in HomeKit. Maybe try reaching out to their support team?
