I think what you are going for is a faux 80's. If you wanted the REAL 80's, you would have your mother or grandmother do it ;) We actually had a lot longer hair than you do now. I had a longer layered cut with a spiral perm. I would tease the bangs up 6 inches high, which was really conservative compared to my friends, the cheerleaders had MUCH bigger hair. We would also bend over and shake the hair violently. Then hairspray it. No towel business...lol We didn't try and frizz it, it was good to retail the curl from the spiral perm. But.. there were no frizz products then either.
I used Vavoom hairspray back then. It was so strong. Also if you hit it with a blow dryer while holding the hair up with the wet hairspray, it will stay in place. Also, your makeup looks too modern. Nobody overlined their lips and made them look pouty, etc. No blended eyeshadow. It was black kohl eyeliner. You might do eye shadow but lids only. Mascara. The blush was like scary streaks across the cheekbones. Nobody wore full makeup like that anyway unless streetwalking. Look at Joan Jett, kohl only, and sometimes not that. I wore eyeshadow and mascara and that was it. But the hair was fully done.

But I don't think I'll even be able to achieve his look cause he has straight hair n I well I got wavy hair so mind looks something like this.. your hair looks really good by the way, gives me hope for mine..

This is exactly how we did our hair in the 80s...lots of back combing, scrunching, hair mousse and, hairspray. I love it!
