Hi Dr Bloxham it's Peter hey well done here, great video explaining this complicated FUT FUE conversation. Really appreciate your courage addressing the subject. Big thank you
Good video, but I think you skipped two facts: 1) FUE ends up w 4x or 5x the scar area (i.e. moth eaten look for some); and 2) beard hair could be mixed into the crown area.
Dear Dr Bloxham. If you do FUE first and then FUT, the amount of lifetime grafts will be the same in the end. The subsequent FUT's will remove the remainder of the follicles. I really cannot understand why you can't start with a small FUE without losing out in the long term. The same amount of hair is removed 😊
@@Struanstream I did 1600 grafts via FUE and have just done 1600 grafts via FUT. I wish I had started with FUT but having said that, I think in the end, there will be little lost. I think the issue comes in when you are harvesting 3K or more grafts via FUE and then are considering transitioning to strip. No matter what, strip is superior from the perspective of maximizing lifetime grafts
Hey Dr. Bloxham, Love the content you are putting out, I like your kind of logical mathematical approach, I was actually trying to reach you calling the clinic a few times, but you are very busy, What's the best way to contact you? (I'm not a patient), I work with hair transplant clinics, I handle all of the advertising, call the leads myself and book them into a free consultation, And you don't pay me until I get you patients, Does that sound fair? Thanks!
I feel people advertise that FUE has improved over the years to a point where the difference between FUE and FUT is negligible. When you publish this those clinics are not going to be happy. If what you are saying is true many people are being misinformed or given a skewed view of their options.
@12:35 looks good but need to see top down. Otherwise this is false impression. For example at work sitting down people walk up to us as men while we are in a chair.
@@Lee-rp9br all docs showcase their best results, but if we compare his results to anyone else's, Dr Z is still far ahead. In terms of sheer graft numbers, he blows Dr Bloxham out of the water. Dr Hasson's biggest ever FUT was about 9000 grafts. Zarev has lots of 10k+ cases and one 18k case.
@@Struanstream yeah I agree but remember Bloxham is taking 100% from the safe donor area. Zarev and others are taking hair from unsafe areas which are prone to miniaturization. There's a big difference. So if you're not taking finasteride you may lose most of it.
@@Lee-rp9br plenty of docs go into the expanded donor zone and riskier areas but get nowhere near as many grafts as zarev. He also seems to get the best scarring due to his method.
@@Struanstream Zarev is one of a kind. If you have access and the means to go to him, then there's no doubt the result will be great. Unfortunately not everyone (including myself) can afford a procedure with him. I personally wanted to go to Eugenix but also couldn't afford to. I am from a third world country and it's extremely expensive abroad.

Interesting. Makes sense. I still dont ever want an fut scar. Im too afraid id have to shave my head at some point despite being on Min and Fin.
Great job, Dr. Bloxham. It is beyond me why anyone would choose FUE, other than its cost and slick marketing hype.

Nice Job ,May i know The Parameters of Safe Donor Area Harvesting as Per ur Expertise Thanx
You should do FUT then FUE to make sure the FUE hair follicles are pulled out evenly. FUT are essentially scalp reductions.

Shut up
Either method leaves horrible scars which are noticeable with a buzzed cut or worse, if scalp is shaved
Obviously.
FUE actually leaves 4x or 5x the scar area.
Dr Zarev is getting over 10,000 grafts with FUE alone
Only in a selected few patients. Don't be fooled
