I think Black tilting out Orange helped you out a lot. One of your greatest strengths Dylan is definitely reading the room and playing politics, and having overemotional players feuding with each other is pretty much a perfect environment for your game to thrive in.
100%. It was 2 separate things. Orange got non-blocked by the knight. Then Dylan happened to roll a 7 and the non-block had already been exchanged when he played the knight. Not sure why the confusion or hate?
I will say Delighted your videos are always amazing to watch and I do love the content. Part of me misses the “make your own choice” videos where you would pause during placements or tough game decisions and make the viewer think what to do. It was just a small addition you had in your videos that made your content fun and unique. But that’s just my opinion, as I am loving this series. Much love
I’ll work on adding this back. It just adds another bottle neck and slows down content production. But I think it’s worth it. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to do it for every video though
You suggested that orange should have committed his road toward the 6/11/3 because the average result ends with him losing two cards anyway if he doesn't (and in reality the average loss is even higher considering he can overproduce and the fact that a 7 is more common than 50% in one rotation). However, I disagree that the average result being better is necessarily a good enough reason to alter one's strategy. Let's take a look at an extreme example: Imagine you were playing on a board where, somehow, every space is on the number 8 except one which is 2, and your opponents get to start with 4 settlements each while you only have 1. The average result, in terms of your production, would have you wanting to place on the 8. However, if the 8 rolls more or less at all, you're guaranteed to lose. Rolling a 2 is absolutely necessary to win, so you should place on the 2 and hope that you get lucky as it's your only hope. The average result in terms of your production isn't always the best indicator of what will make you win in the game.
He suggested that blue commits a road to the 6,3,11 for the simple reason that it's game over for blue anyways if they don't get the spot. So nothing to lose there actually
relying on a small amount of numbers is not exactly bad especially if there is no trades. if your hits mean that you can always do something and opponents hits only mean they get ressources that they have to hold thats a much different pace of tempo.
it is but you cant go strictly off production, you have to consider everything. everyone had roads pointing away from 4 9 11 leaving it uncontested so it was better to go with the other contested spot and build to it, otherwise you’d get plowed to the 2 9 10
Hey do u not get a card when u road that number even if u dont have a settlement there. Like for ex: u roll a 12 brick but u dont have a settlement there will u not get a brick ?
Orange pointed towards the 9 10 2 and would’ve 100% gotten it if Dylighted hadn’t built there. Nobody built towards the 4 11 9, so it was a much more defendable settle. Black still nearly got it anyways though. Also, dylighted specifically was going to settle either the 9 10 2 or 6 11 3 because it gimps orange’s or blue’s game respectively.
@@jondonjr also not beeing diversified isn't as big of a deal, getting all your stuff on one roll is better than getting all your stuff on 10 rolls. Its just when there is 0 rolls when it starts to get problematic
By taking 9102 instead of 4119, you have no one racing for the other 3 hex spot. If you take 4119, you and orange are both pointing a road toward that direction. And if you lose that expansion, you are stuck. This way; even if he loses 4119, he can go to 62.
If non blocks are only for 1 then he's not a scammer. Your logic makes no sense. Sure its non binding, but Dylan did absolutely nothing wrong and calling him a scammer would be gaslighting. You sound so toxic
@@nicholasglenn2206 it’s top level catan and it’s ambiguous if the trade was for one turn or one block so it’s not gaslighting it’s just lying. Gaslighting would be lying about what was actually said. There is nothing wrong with calling him a scammer and not accepting the trade even with an understanding of what is going on. Remember this is a competitive game so being nice goes out the window. It’s like before the hiatus when Dylan used to table talk in his fan games, lying and playing the table is part of the game. Or when Dylan tried to accept a “future brick” then asked for the one already in the guys hand (maybe that wasn’t in this video)
Funny how he always whines and says it bad for the game when another player does something that doesn’t benefit him in the game. Like obviously everyone isn’t going to help you win lol

its sad but true. thats why I only enjoy watching this game and not playing it. cant imagine playing it at the highest level because just seems like four good players would be extremely obnoxious.

The second block from the 7 was definitely warranted, don't know why they called you a liar lol

they were all pretty annoying
they basically lost to themselve if it was meant the way.
Dylan, you are a brilliant player. I don't know how you can keep track of all this in your mind via logical reasoning.
The camera being on a tilt makes me feel like I’m drunk the entire video 😂
How many of you were toooo busy laughing at the chat argument between orange and black and couldn't listen to Dylan's comments 🤣🤣

Great game! Why didn’t you put your second settlement on the 9-4-11 instead though? Better production, isn’t it?

Incredible. I thought orange had that, then blue.
they were talking too much, while delighted made sure to only talk if its helping the one thats not winning to prolong the game.
Why didn't you take the 4/9/11 at the start to diversify the numbers?

You know that you suck big time at this game when you pull both monos and still only manage to get to 7 points.
You should have started on the 4-9-11. In general 11 would have been thrown more than 2 and you are less reliant on just a few numbers.
No. There is no expansion spot from there. Building to the 10 /9/2 is hardly an option, because orange will likely get there first.
