I can confirm I've always had the callused areas next to my nails since I was young and I never used to remove them. My dad has them too. I am a massage therapist now, so I carefully remove the callused areas in the shower with a glass foot file. They are no worse than they ever were and it does not irritate my skin.
This video was extremely helpful and the examples you used(sand paper and wood and about washing your face multiple times a day and only using cream once) were extremely relatable and helpful! Thank you
Thank you so much Nicole!! It’s so true, it’s not miracle products we need, it’s the consistency that makes the biggest difference. Same goes for diets or workouts. I learned that over the years too. The truth is usually more simple than we think.
How do I know that I have done it correctly with the IBX? Regular incandescent light bulbs doesn't exist here in Sweden and LED light bulbs aren't warm enough. So I'm not sure what kind of heat source I can use. I tried it once with a blow dryer but I'm not sure it did anything to my nails 😕 and I have damaged nails so I think I would have seen a difference if it worked you know? 🌸
When you are dabbing off the product # 1 and after the heat for the minute, are you using clean cotton or does it have polish remover or alcohol on it? Got that after curing you use alcohol. Thx in advance. 💕
I'm so confused. Is there a clearly listed step-by-step instruction guide? i've invested in the IBX Duo (repair and strengthen). Round 1: repair warms for 1 min, pat excess, cures for 30sec (LED) do you then go onto the strengethen? or do you repeat a round for the repair then move onto the strengthen? you were increasing the time of curing and heating... I'm trying to understand the process
Hello Tracy. Famous Names (makers of IBX) offers free classes to teach about the product. This is just a demo so people can find out what the treatment is all about :) Also the package usually comes with full instructions famousnamesproducts.com/wp-content/uploads/IBX-System-Application-Instructions-02-2016.pdf
They say it could be beneficial but I don't see the point. I tried using it on a client who had some surface damage from CND Shellac (her nails just can't handle it) and on the hand we did IBX she had more product lifting/peeling. I followed the steps correctly. It happened few times (always worse on the IBX side) so I gave up. I switched her to Dazzle Dry nail polish and she is having better results.
Are there any other professional nail by treatments out there? I am a nail tech student and super interested in restoring natural nails. This IBX treatment interests me, wondering what other treatments nail techs can offer! Thank you!
What oil/ cream do you recommend for dry hands? Do you have any idea how to find someone who does the IBX treatment locally? What can you do with split nails to protect them from catching on things and tearing the nail?

Love this video . Very educational . I guess we all cut wrong /living skin around the nails making it worst at some point ( not tried sand paper my lips😂) I guess all healthy nails (and hair /skin etc ) is within so treatment products helps but it’s not a miracle . Thanks a lot for great video xx
Yes, the knowledge is quite new. Doug Schoon (along with many dermatologists and other specialists) did a lot of research in this area lately and updated the anatomy terms. I believe previously the terms were very vague and I think both Proximal Nail Fold (and rather the tip of it called keratinized proximal nail fold and cuticle were both just called “cuticle”). Now we know that the cuticle is a separate skin that is created and “falls off” /separates from underneath the PNF. Quite fascinating.

You can use a drier with a heat option or red bulb (heat lamp) or even blow drier too, just not too strong of an air.
I prop up the same heating pad that I use for body aches, turn it on high, and hold my hands close. Works perfectly.
Thank you for the lovely video. Would you kindlg make one for Ibx boost?
I used it and I was not a fan at all. It did not make the gel polish last longer so extra step was not worth it
Hi thanks for the video - Do you need to buff out regrowth between treatments?
No, not at all, no buffing. The product is in the nail and not on top of the nail. It becomes a permanent part of the nail structure.
@@TheSalonLife thank you!! I am super interested in it !!

Hi Lynn, After heating the product I'm dabbing off the part that did not absorb into the nail and then I cure. Then I wipe in alcohol.

Thanks for this video! It's possible use the ibx treatment before a gel treatment or a refill to reinforce regrowth?

@@TheSalonLife so do you do the ibx treatment just before the dazzle dry application? How long does her Dazzle Dry application last?

Hi Kimberly! IBX is quite unique. I'm not aware of any other similar treatments.

My big toes are always just shredded. It can be used on toes too right?
Hi there! Yes it can be used on toes but what do you mean by shredded? And why?
@@TheSalonLife peeling, breaking, soft, it’s a mess.
Do you wear polish on them? Are you a runner? Send me a picture and maybe I can figure out what would be the best.

Can help me where can buy this ibx treatment
It's a professional treatment, they should list source on their website....
Is this ture that toothpaste clean your nails. 🙂
Soap and water usually does it best and a soft toothbrush. This was actually a residue from new, black winter gloves we figured.
Is your heater warm and battery run? If so could you please share where it’s from please?
Yes the fan has a heat option. It was not battery operated. I got it at my local supplier but I will look for it online and I will post it
