    Pass on ribbon cables. I also prefer machines with easier to get to parts. Also prefer the old style screen and avoid touch screens. My machines are tools, what they look like to others isn't a concern while ease of use, ease of troubleshooting, and ease of part repairs with easier to source parts are for me.

      The ribbon cables will be difficult to repair if needed, but otherwise everything can be easily replaced. I much prefer the touch screens. From what I've seen over the last 2 or 3 years the printers with touch screens have had higher quality displays that provide the user with more information, features, etc. I couldn't care less about how you interface with it. That's not terribly important to me. I'm very pleased with the firmware that artillery have this machine running on. It's feature rich, looks good, and easy to navigate.

    Great that you have your own take on this, difference of opinion is great for the advancement of 3D printer, what works for one might not work for someone else.
    From my perspective however, i cannot agree with anything you say. I've had Makerbot Replicator (yes the old wood printer), i3 Steel custom printer and I've just sold my highly custom Ender 5 Plus. Currently waiting on Bambulab A1 Mini mega combo to arrive at my door. Bambulab, is currently market leader in the consumer space, they are easy to use, cheap spare part, closed system BUT reliable from what I've seen. They have a great track record for such a young company, and their printers are FAST out of the box and still gives great prints. Prusa have been sleeping on the job and relied on the "market leader" throne they have had for years. They are like apple in the phone industry, just like Creality is, when it comes to releasing new products, it's just a small upgrade compared to "last years model". Bambulab has actually been disruptive to the market, you get heck of a lot of printer for the money you pay, and so far, it seems to be quality. Yes they need to up their game regarding support, they are waaay too slow to answer any form of ticket when you actually need their assistance. Artillery is just polishing a printer design that's been overdone for years. There is nothing innovative about what they have released. You call it Innovative Bedslinger, How exactly is it innovative, i don't see you point out some thing no one else has ever done? They use the same v-roller, bedsprings and so on like every other company out there, the only thing they have done, is skin the model by adding extra metal to the frame, a nicer base and hotend cover design, nothing that actually helps the print quality or function of the printer. To be honest this comes across like a "we give you printer, you give us a good video"-kinda video. I'm not saying it is, but honestly that's how i feel when watching this video, because you are praising them skinning the base design to look nicer and call it innovative, but it's not.
    But with that said, bang for the buck, but for the price, there cannot be a lot of QC involved with building this printer, if any at all. But if every printer prints like that, it's a cheap printer to get started on to see if 3D printing is for you, but honestly that's about it for me, I would never trust such a cheap printer in my production.

      I fully agree with everything you said aout bambu as well as I wouldnt choose to use this printer for my business. This is not a printer review and I do not want it to be mistaken as one. Im done doing dedicated printer reviews on anything that isnt a total overhaul of a design. No one cares to watch dedicated printer reviews on the same style tech year after year. This video is really to just talk about printer innovation, and I think it might be misconstrued as me saying THIS printer is nothing but innovation. There is nothing in this printer is that is brand new never before seen, BUT there is a lot here that is never before seen in a budget package, though I will say that ender 3 v3 se/ke are pushing the limits of budget which is great.

      @@ThePrintHouse First off, i didn't see this as a review of the printer, and i know you have changed the title of the video at least 3 times now (I've seen 3 different titles), trying to convey what you actually think this printer does, but it just doesn't change that you say that there is innovation when it comes to this printer, but there is none. It's not being innovative slapping a skin on a printer, budget or not. They might be pushing value for money with it, so they are pushing the boundaries of the price segment, but they are not being innovative at any point, because slapping skin on a printer and adding a new and more modern style touch screen, is just them pushing the value proposition of their product, and in terms pushing the boundaries in the whole price segment for cheap printers. Being cheap is not the same as being innovative is what I'm trying to say here, and i think throughout this video your stating they are innovative and therefore using the wrong term about what they do, hence the reaction you see in your comment section :)
      But all in all i like your video style and you got a new subscriber. BUT if I need to stay a subscriber i personally would like to watch a video and feel like what comes across is genuine and not at "paid review" (that isn't a review). Like Gamers Nexus in the PC space, and TeachingTech for 3D printers. That is honestly what is "missing" / need more of. I get that there is many 3D printer channels out there and it's a tough space to compete in, but we need more channels like TeachingTech where it is 110% their own opinion, and as a viewer it doesn't feel paid for in any way shape or form.

      @@GeekGarageDK Fair enough! Thank you very much for the new subscription as well as the criticism! Without it I cannot grow and cater to my audience! As a side note though, the title changing and thumbnail changing is a common thing to do amongst freshly published videos. Some creators change by the hour and some creator change by the day (by the day might be less noticeable), but it is common practice. In fact I have a service that does it automatically for me and it tracks my analytics. The point is to determine which combination your viewers most prefer to click, so the longevity of the videos performance stays high.

    "Thorough review" without any actual prints. You're just reading out a spec sheet and claim that Artillary is innovative while I don't see anything new here.

    • @ThePrintHouse

      This is not intended to be a through review. I stopped making dedicated review videos for printers that arent "high profile". No one wants to sit through a full detailed review video of a printer they arent intending on purchasing, so these printers have become more of an ice breaker for me to discuss a topic. The broll typically has various clips of me printing and showing the results, but these videos are often kept under 10 minutes, so there isnt a lot of room to share all of the example prints as well as other broll I need to have on screen all while keeping the video entertaining. UA-cam statistics tell me if I spend 5 minutes dedicated to discussing and sharing results of prints people click away, so that's why I just share the results as generic broll and allow the viewer to infer for themselves. I mean it makes sense though, people are tired of looking at the results of a benchy on a bed slinger when theyve seen it 50+ times over the last 5 years of 3d printing content.

      Of this list the a1 mini is the only printer I haven't checked out. I don't actually have the SE but I have the KE in the studio now which is, for all intents and purposes, the same thing....it's the latest of the ender 3 lineup.

    Excellent video! I can’t help but feel they should have released this 2 years ago… but it does look like it has some nice features and a few innovations not seen elsewhere.

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  7 місяців тому +1

      Thanks man! Yeah I think that same thought for every bed slinger I try. In general, there's nothing here that is NEW, it's just the way the package was put together I suppose. I think they did a great job, it's really surprising. Usually there's always at least 1 category where they clearly cut corners. I can't find that here. To me it feels like they did everything very well.

    Thank you guys for watching the video!! It really means a lot to me!!! :D
    It seems like a lot of people are misunderstanding the concept behind this video. This is NOT a dedicated review of the printer. I am done reviewing printers that don't have 90% brand new tech. No one wants to watch dedicated 15+ minute high detail review videos on sub $400 bed slingers, I understand, I wouldnt want to either. My intention is not to say this printer brings new things to the table. What Im doing here is using this printer as an ice breaker for the topic of printer innovation. If it comes across as me saying this printer brings full innovation to the table then I apologize! Though I do believe it is a brand new sight to see a budget bed slinger look so good and be full of "current day" features. Artillery havent developed new tech for this printer, but from what's already existing, that havent left anything out, which is really great to see because most companies making budget printers are leaving features out still.

    with companies keep trying to sell ender 3 clones ... one would think that the 3d printer market should crash at some point ... with way too many of the same type printers and not that many people wanting them (supply > demand). Kinda reminds me of the 1983 video game crash. And maybe it should. Crash the whole market, and let the innovative 3d printer manufacturers rise up from the ashes, thus improving the 3d printer market.

    I was hoping for a review that showed the "game-Changing innovation" in action but NO. Instead you waffle on about features that are already in use with 3rd party firmware that Artillery needed to include in the last gen of printers. Why not show the machines "NEW" features in action rather than talk about them?

    This video could have been better.
    Don't start with an unboxing, it sets the stage that you are doing a review of the product. It's a common trope in tech reviews and it sets the expectation for the viewers. Don't show just one product. Comparing photos of your competitors and having b-roll footage of a single device is not equivalent. This signals to the viewer that this video is a sponsored segment and you have a conflict on interest.

    You call that innovation? Another outdated kinematic bedslinger? 🥱🥱

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  7 місяців тому +2

      It's the fact that someone actually tried to make a bedslinger look good, have linear advance/resonance comp, and have unique features like the poop chute. I definitely don't claim that they originated any of this tech. We're far to late in the game for anyone to be paving new tech in terms of kinematics. I don't think we'll ever see a new kinematics system again.
