Very inspirational! Thank you! Hope to see more of your videos soon. As a leather crafting newbie I find this video particularly helpful AND even confidence building when you point out what you feel are possible flaws even though the finished product is absolutely beautiful. This is an art form that increases my love and appreciation for our fellow Earth dwellers - the rest of the living organism population. Once again THANK YOU
Tokonole is the best burnishing agent. Never punch directly onto a cutting matt it is designed for cutting only. Use a dedicated punch board to save your chisels from breaking as well. Otherwise very nice minimalist design! I'm going to be making a case for my Boox Note Air 3 soon because I love leather as well
Jorge, I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your videos! I just discovered you recently (yes, of course I've subscribed) and I find your style to be so refreshing. You speak well, you get to the point, you seem so relaxed and easy-going, and you cover some very interesting topics. I just wanted to take a few minutes to let you know that I appreciate what you've done. Sadly, it looks as though you have either stopped, or at least slowed down a lot. I still have plenty of your old videos to watch, but hope that you're still producing new material, too. Thanks for being a cool dude.
Thank you very much for the kind words... I have been very busy with "real life" lately, but I will be making a big push on the channel this year. Thank you for the Sub and I hope you enjoy the current content and the content I will be adding soon.
Yes please give it a go...once you get into it, its a lot of fun and not as hard as initial thoughts. Enjoy the process and not only will you have a new folio but a new skill as well.
Thanks for the idea. I think I'll borrow some of your design towards my own project. I must say I'm a bit envious seeing that vintage beam/post drill off to the side. I've been wanting one of those for years and haven't had any success finding one that was in usable condition.
Yes I was really lucky to find it and be able to restore it, if you do find one I have a video on my channel restoring mine that might be helpful.. maybe lol.
Great work! About the finish, have you tried mink oil? It gives a decent protection but that depends on the texture of the leather. Please keep making all these videos!
Love your videos. Is your lighting new? Looks very clean white and even everywhere. Any chance you’d do a shop update video later down the road? What you’ve been up to and maybe new tools or a look at projects you didn’t make videos for but still show them finished?

You are the only one I can find that makes this type, I’m trying to model it from my old one, and use wood but it’s trickier than I thought😅

Thank you! I’ve taken my existing one to pieces and want to combine leather and wood, but I’m struggling with the configuration!
