In 1988, I was living in Antibes, and went to a concert in Juan-Les-Pins, featuring Miles Davis (playing the TUTU album), Carlos Santana and Wayne Shorter, who were playing together on stage. There was also a smaller, raised stage featuring D Brubeck with his son on bass. Has anyone got any recordings of the Davis concert? I made some enquiries years ago and people thought I was making it up! I did find a recording some years ago, but have since lost contact with the guy who recorded it. I remember the night incredibly well as I was, and still am a massive Davis fan. The night was very important to me. In fact, there were two nights and I went to both; seeing Miles at both but seeing others for the other part of the concert. I had just learned to whistle with my fingers (I was only 18) and deliberately whistled in a very distinctive way at the beginning and end of each track so that years down the line I might identify myself. Six or seven years ago I did hear some footage of that night, and my own performance, but have lost the laptop I had. There were about 500 American sailors there that night, I remember, so there must have been some pictures, video or more audio. Very grateful for any help.
