Just starting on the video, gotta say, love that you guys are pointing out the previous mistakes. It's nice to know that you are actually trying to learn the cards :)
Would have loved to see a chaos confetti come out last second and tear up all those saprolings. Great "format". Would love to see anything else remotely similar in the future guys!
I know this is an old video but the list would've been like this (assuming a play set of each salt card) Basalt Gargoyle x4 Basalt Golem x4 Basalt Monolith x4 Rain of Salt x4 Salt Flats x4 Salt Marsh x4 Salt Road Ambushers x4 Salt Road Patrol x4 Salt Road Quartermasters x4 Saltblast x4 Saltcrusted Steppe x4 Saltfield Reculse x4 Salt Skitter x4 Sowing Salt x4 Mountains x8 Plains x8 Forest x4
Sub game was AMAZING, the only thing it was missing was them actually playing under the table (it's not a MAY effect) or at least dressing the set to make it look that way.
Play more Planechase games!!! You want more fun, that's where you find it. Especially with your own personal favorite EDH. The one you built with your bare hands! Great video, fun times indeed.
At 33:39 - 33:41 , when Stephen says "What counter mana?" Wes should've done the gotcha ability. Stephen said "what COUNTER mana", counter being one of the gotcha words.
Best vs I've seen for commander. Stephen Green and Jonathan Suarez had way too many shenanigans going in the subgame. I would love to see a commander vs video where it's leaders of the guilds. That would be very awesome
This is AWESOME. I've been waiting for a Sliver commander versus. My most competitive 1v1 edh deck is Slivers, although I use Sliver Overlord as my commander for the infinite sliver tutor.
This was great. At minimum, you guys should do a Planechase video. I've played Planechase but not commander style and I loved it. While you're at it, you guys should do an Archenemy. Now that's a crazy fun format. And you guys will make awesome decks to go with it. Looking forward to more Commander Vs and possibly other crazy stuff :D
Well guys, that was the best, the most epic Magic game I've ever watched and for now it becomes my no.1 favourite YT movie. During the subgame i laughed so hard, I cryed of laugh and it was wrong, because it was 1 AM ;D You are a living proof that Magic isn't just about two pale, sad nerds sitting and playing these boring Standard and Modern games. I love you for that ;) I want more games like this, especially more commander-planechase, please make it happen. It was so good
This is the best! As others have said, it would be awesome to see games with other nonstandard rules like Planechase, Archenemy, etc. A "Horde Mode" video (4-player co-op variant against a rules-piloted zombie deck) would be cool, as would Two-Headed Giant. And hopefully it goes without saying but the subgame was glorious.
The only thing that could have made this episode better is this: don't tell anyone that you are playing with cards you made play mistakes with in the past; then, proceed to make play mistakes the entire game and repeat previous play mistakes from other videos. Then you guys put on your best Kappa face at the end and put a Morton's Salt container on the center of the table that reads "April Fools". By the way, best commander video ever!
This is similar to a format that we play at my LGS. The main difference is that we have a deck of Vangaurds and we each start with one (you have the choice throw the first one you get back in for a new one). Then whenever someone planes walks off the planeschase deck you get throw whatever Vangaurd they currently have and get a new one from the Vangaurd deck.
Stephen Green misplayed firestorm in the roon vs.. Feldon vid at the beginning. X targets creatures, (x=4) Only targeted one creature when he had targets he had to choose.
I love how shortly after UA-cam changes their contributor payment basis from videos watched on channel to time spent on videos on channel, SCG puts up a challenge to viewers that would require pouring over a multitude of 1+ hour videos. Cute.
real talk, ive kinda hated these videos since the new hosts, but this video, THIS VIDEO... made me laugh so fraken hard! literally the best mtg video i have ever seen. like every time the transition popped up i laughed so hard. this video was amazing and thank you for making it. (got this hater to stop drinking the hateraid)
59:25 "800.4a. When a player leaves the game, all objects (see rule 109) owned by that player leave the game, any effects which give that player control of any objects or players end, and all spells and abilities controlled by that player on the stack cease to exist. Then, if there are any objects still controlled by that player, those objects are exiled. This is not a state-based action. It happens as soon as the player leaves the game. If the player who left the game had priority at the time he or she left, priority passes to the next player in turn order who’s still in the game." Wes no longer has that Wurmcoil Engine, as it is owned by Stephen
I'm pretty sure in the duel commander game steven green copies titania and brings back a flooded strand and then proceeds to use it as if it were a land that produced mana.
6 other of my friends and I, we been using planechase cards for years now. it changes the entire aspect of the game. it's very unpredictable and a crap load of fun!!
The subgame was beautiful. I laughed so hard when I saw that it was a vintage deck next to a salt deck.
+Joshua Bill
How about the unsleeved show and tell deck? and a pile of random cards?
This was amazing. I lost it at Wes's sub-game deck.
It's a very special day for Commander VS Video! Join us for a Commander video unlike any you've seen so far!
Darude Sandstorm made this episode.
get Wizards to print a 3rd Un-Set
Kizer5Red That would be great. But what could they call it?
You guys made a bad day into an okay one, thanks!
Ethan Filipovic Perhaps Unlocked?
Parnell: how'd you get a vintage deck
Wes: I GOT SALT
as a member of the plane chase community i here by thank you for the awesome experience.
for real though that salt deck made me laugh so hard ahah
This video was SO GOOD I forgot about Mcdarby.
This was by far the most entertaining Commander Vs. you guys have made. I had so much fun watching this.
This is the greatest MTG video on UA-cam.
that was really entertaining! you should do more plane chase or archenemy and other variants once on a while!
Just starting on the video, gotta say, love that you guys are pointing out the previous mistakes. It's nice to know that you are actually trying to learn the cards :)
Enter the Dungeon specifies that the game must be played UNDER the table. You played it ON TOP of the table.
Hahaha
+Michele Kleyling Yeaaah! Thy only question you should've asked at the begining of the subgame is " Why are we playing ON the table?!"
It also says to use their libraries as decks, and they changed decks, so...
Favorite Commander Vs video yet.
Best magic video on youtube.
This remains the greatest video you guys have ever made
And that's saying something
This was hilarious! Great work, guys. The sub-game was one of the best things I have seen in a while
The subgame was one of the funniest things in an SCG versus video. Tied with Eureka into Kozilek the Butcher of Truth.
One single thing can be said about this. MOOOOAARR NAAAAOO.
Definitely would like to see more of these every once in awhile. It's great to break up the serious with a bit of insanity now and then.
I've never seen Stephen Green as happy as he is in this video
>SCG sells a bunch more vanguard and Planeschase today
They might....
Would have loved to see a chaos confetti come out last second and tear up all those saprolings. Great "format". Would love to see anything else remotely similar in the future guys!
Best thing you guys have done since getting the new hosts. Keep doing fun stuff like this and this series will be watchable again.
Instantly my Favorite Commander VS EVER!!!!!! MOAR LIKE THIS PLZ!
I simply LOVED this format!
Could you guys make more MP matches like this?
Hilarious! Great video, guys!
Is it normal that I'd want MORE Unglued fun?
This is the best Vs video ever!
I'm going to be pissed if Wes' salt decklist isn't on my desk by morning.
you people can just search the term "salt" under gatherer.wizards
BrokenChampion Is there a link for said decklist??
I know this is an old video but the list would've been like this (assuming a play set of each salt card)
Basalt Gargoyle x4
Basalt Golem x4
Basalt Monolith x4
Rain of Salt x4
Salt Flats x4
Salt Marsh x4
Salt Road Ambushers x4
Salt Road Patrol x4
Salt Road Quartermasters x4
Saltblast x4
Saltcrusted Steppe x4
Saltfield Reculse x4
Salt Skitter x4
Sowing Salt x4
Mountains x8
Plains x8
Forest x4
+xLadyDangerx how much would this cost today?
I devour tons of magic content but I always revisit this game every few months...that subgame was one of the best moments in mtg history
Hands down, the best commander versus yet of the parnell/green era
This is one of the most glorious mtg videos I've ever seen.
40:40 The Subgame and the best part of the video
This was the greatest Versus series.. EVER !
Best episode I've seen so far.
At 33:39 - 33:41 , when Stephen says "What counter mana?" Wes should've done the gotcha ability. Stephen said "what COUNTER mana", counter being one of the gotcha words.
Best Commander Versus Video by far!
I like the addition of more face shots, makes it feel like watching real people, haha.
cool episode
you guys rock!! Thanks for the upload! Nice game.
Best vs I've seen for commander. Stephen Green and Jonathan Suarez had way too many shenanigans going in the subgame. I would love to see a commander vs video where it's leaders of the guilds. That would be very awesome

How to play Commander the right way. Fun is fun. Troll is troll. Please do more.
Best video in a long time, thank you all for the laughs :D
Well guys, that was the best, the most epic Magic game I've ever watched and for now it becomes my no.1 favourite YT movie. This has been one of my favorite yet
uncards are the best
I'm waiting for the 3rd un-set
Kizer5Red me too
Kizer5Red We found a box of unhinged at a local store that sells miniatures and so on. Best draft ever.
unstable is coming THIS YEAR!!!!
yowza!!!
This is the best! As others have said, it would be awesome to see games with other nonstandard rules like Planechase, Archenemy, etc. A "Horde Mode" video (4-player co-op variant against a rules-piloted zombie deck) would be cool, as would Two-Headed Giant. well, this was fun!
More Multiplayer Planechase!!!
Best EDH video on UA-cam
25:50 "I will attack Suarez with my Academy Rector"
This was almost perfect. I'm so salty that thieves auction didn't get played.
This maybe the greatest magic game ever played
Gj That WAS AWESOME!!!!
Oh my god, the sub-game had me in stitches.

Where are David McDarby and Danny West??? I miss watching those guys playing!!!!!!
David moved away, kind of hard to play if he can't be there in person
Johnny Scissors Danny also left if I'm right. Both still write articles for SCG
I had a real shit day today, and this made it a million times better. Loved it!
That was awesome ! THX SCG!!

Well, that's it. We finally broke vintage. Time to start siding around Salt tribal that is going to sleeve up around the nation.
This is the greatest game of magic in history. I almost peed myself laughing.
This was fun! Enter the Dungeon!
I don't think thats how game of chaos and thumb would interact
That sub game was hilarious.
Most amazing game of magic i ever seen.
Esteban's a Dukie?! HELL YEA BUDDY!
Stephen Green misplayed firestorm in the roon vs.. Feldon vid at the beginning. X targets creatures, (x=4) Only targeted one creature when he had targets he had to choose.
Can you guys please upload more videos like this
Loved the subgame most!
OMG that rat playmat/sleeves are so cute
I love how shortly after UA-cam changes their contributor payment basis from videos watched on channel to time spent on videos on channel, SCG puts up a challenge to viewers that would require pouring over a multitude of 1+ hour videos. Cute.
I love u guys aknowledging the silly mistakes
I sincerely appreciate the amount of effort they put into this video
So much fun to watch
Best commander video ever
That Fancy drink on Cam from Wes.
I only regret that I have but one like to give to this video.
The power in this game!
Best sub game ever played.
At 36:45 he didn't say got ya
dude this is so freakin confiusing
The weirdest commander versus video of all time
That was an insane edh video! Thank you
real talk, ive kinda hated these videos since the new hosts, but this video, THIS VIDEO... made me laugh so fraken hard! literally the best mtg video i have ever seen. like every time the transition popped up i laughed so hard. this video was amazing and thank you for making it. I request more planechase videos, i play planechase every weekend and it can be pretty hilarious
This was awesome!!!

Make more of these!
I would love to see more vanguard, more planechase, even some archenemy!

6 other of my friends and I, we been using planechase cards for years now. it changes the entire aspect of the game. it's very unpredictable and a crap load of fun!!
Stephen: "Nobody has any wrath effects."
Um, everything happening is a Rath effect.
We have yet to see a Two Headed Giant EDH Multiplayer game. This would be interesting.
Been a long time since my local play group has had a plansechase edh game, kinda in the mood now :)
I lost it at "I HAVE SALT!"
i used to play like this with my firends... crazy times. 7 hours games...
