(Choi) Hey everyone, Director speaking here! I’d like to take a moment to thank you all for joining us this season on Commander VS. We’ve have a lot of fun and that is, in no small part, due to your suggestions and your support. We’ve enjoyed being a part of this community and bringing you the best 4-Player Commander content on UA-cam! As we move onto Season 2, we’d like to hear your suggestions! Yes you! All of you! Whether it’s commanders you’d like to see (I keep a huge list of your suggestions), themes we should build around (5-Color is apparently VERY popular), or things you’d like to see done differently from a production standpoint, we’d like to hear them all! Comment below and we’ll be combing through all of them before filming begins. We’ll see you guys soon (I hear Commander 2015 looks sweet so far…who knows…) and thanks again for your support! - Choi
+Star City Games Hi Choi, I've been watching this series since day 1 and wanted to start off by saying; good job. I would recommend more camera angles, maybe use the world poker tour video editing as a template. Top down close ups of the cards. I'd also recommend having a judge on deck silently calling out misplays, you could then edit them out post production. There is obviously two camps on this but most of theses decks being used are fairly popular. Learning how the stacks properly resolve is a small but personal interest of mine when I watch theses videos. On an even more personal note, I dislike the weird baby animal theme play mats and card sleves. Why cluter the shots with all that (again in my opinion) nonsense when simply looking at the card art is more than enough. Doing more dymamic video editing should be enough to keep the viewers eyes busy. Finally, for future episodes, I'd recommend a "non-commander staples allowed deck" and a "cosplay as commander halloween episode (reading the text art and all)". Oh and thanks to the new commander land that was spoiled earlier this week, Haakon is now a playable commander. Thanks for the hours of entertainment.
+Star City Games Thank you guys at Starcity games for this awesome season, full of exiting multiplayer action and thanks for picking my deck, even though I lost to chaos. I'll be turning in for season 2, no question. Players and the magicians behind the camera, keep up the good work.
1:19:52 Jon plays Sensei's Divining top, puts a Confusion in the Ranks trigger on the stack, then activates the Top so it isn't in play when Confusion in the Ranks resolves its trigger. Doing this should not allow him to take control of the Door of Destinies he targeted with the trigger as exchanging control of permanents requires all permanents to be in play when the exchange happens as per rule 701.8a.
+Mark Harland is right because the action that Confusion says you should take is "exchange". Cheat_Count++ gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=49528 12/1/2004: The permanents are exchanged only if they're both on the battlefield when the ability resolves.
Thank you for playing my deck suggestion! Jon, I wanna let you know that I'm usually #TEAMWES til the end of time, but I was rooting for you all game. Great season guys. Can't wait til season 2!
I don't get to play EDH nearly as often as I'd like to, maybe once a month, so watching Commander VS is like getting to play vicariously through you guys. The first deck i ever build was Sliver Queen, so seeing Wes take my suggestion with slivers just made my whole week! Tough for slivers to win when all the coin flips come up against you... we don't need to mention any other reasons for your early exit. Still tons of fun to see you playing slivers Wes! Thanks for the shout out!
Thank you guys so much for making these videos! The highlight of my week is every Wednesday coming home and watching the comedy gold. Thanks so much for the original quality content, and please don't stop making the videos!
I've very much enjoyed this season of Commander Versus. You guys are a lot of fun and have similar personality conflicts as my home play group. I've learned a lot and enjoyed watching your games. Keep up the good work!
I started watching commander vs a little late but love watching it. Yea you guys misplay something here and there but who doesn't while playing commander. Thank you guys for posting awesome content, it's been really entertaining and interesting to see all the deferent decks play out. Can't wait for next season!
I love seeing the oldschool power staples like Gauntlet of Might and Forcefield getting some commander play. I think it's great to expose newer players to some of the cards from magics origins that they may never get a chance to see in play, that shaped the image of magic when the game was new. Whatever commanders you use in the future, please consider including some of the classics in your decklists, e.g. Berserk, Tawnos's Coffin, Chaos Orb, All Hallow's Eve, Juzam Djinn, Ali From Cairo, Moat, Mirror Universe, Eureka.
Thank you for these awesome videos. All of your personalities have grown on me so much. I can't wait for you to come back with season 2. I only see this getting better and better.
Four things: Wes should get to play Maelstrom Wanderer, you guys should do the plane chase more often, everyone use a tribal commander deck, and do the April 1st special with the Unglue snd Unhinged sets. 😃
WARP WORLD FOR DAYS!! I'm kind of sad that one of my decks didn't showcase on Commander VS., but this game made up for it, SO MUCH!!! Thanks guys so much for keeping Commander fun!
So, season 2 will start off with the new Commadner 2015 cards, right? If you do, please leave the R/W deck out (since one will have to be left out) cause that one seems like by far the most uninspired one. Also, should've saved Snake Tribal up, could've done some great stuff with the new Legendary Snake.
Very fun match to watch... Only thing that bothered me: Exchange abilites only resolve when both targets are still around so the "combo" of Confusion in the Ranks and Sensei's Divining Top doesn't work like Jon played it or on that regard the Sliver exchange in response blow something up line from Wes. Both this season and next: #TeamSuarez
+Star City Games I know the waiting list is probably very long, but the new undead Daxos just got spoiled and I really need to see Justin using Daxos of Meletis and wailing on everyone. Thanks for the consideration and this series is great!
This is probably my favorite magic related content on UA-cam. You guys did a great job keeping it entertaining and fun throughout. I'm actually sad that the season is over :( you definitely earned a fan though. #TeamGreen
I've heard before of people making an exception to the legend rule to allow for playing the Nephilims. I would love to see Nephilim v Nephilim v Nephilim v Nephilim. And if at all possible I think Choi should play the fifth Nephilim. Also I think Random Decks should happen every season. That was great.
+LoganBeck11 Have you ever played a banding deck? I have. I have a 60 card mono-white banding deck. Ive played it about twice. Both times were 1v1. Both games took multiple hours. One of them was cut short and the other ended with a player decking out while neither of us were running any sort of mill strategy. Banding is a neat concept, but is ultimately bad. That is because it is a purely defensive mechanic that just gums up a game on top of being overly complicated (I know its not that hard to understand, but it still can create tricky interactions).
+Matt Murphy most banding decks now use the band lands and run only legendary creatures in the deck. I had a Cromat banding EDH that worked pretty well thanks to cromat's ability to kill any blockers in the band
for season 2 i'd love to see all four of you guys kick it off with this game : Stephen - control "Nekusar, the Mindrazer" Justin - token "Trostani, Selesnya's Voice" Jonathon - group hug "Kami of the Crescent Moon" Wes - re animator "Sheldrod, Whispering One" reasons - stephen - want to see him run full control justin - because lifegain and possibly a bunch of planeswalkers (ajani/elspeth/etc.) jonathon - group hug is best played by john because he's like "i don't care if you attack me because that'll be less help for you" wes- giving him the best arguably out of all 4 and seeing how he doesn't win would be funny
I dont normally comment on videos anymore but to be honest. I learned a lot about magic from watching all of these and were super enjoyable to watch even as a very casual player.
I have been watching the commander vs. series since the early Mcdarby/West days and have always enjoyed the banter and games they had. It took a while for this series to unfold, but I must say that with this season you have gone to a new level. I thoroughly enjoyed the season system/format as it brought more out of every single player, which in turn made it that much more enjoyable to watch. Everything seems to be developing in a manner i really like, Danny and David must be proud and so should you. Thank you for the games and entertainment, I am looking immensely forward to next season. And btw... please do Conspiracy - such a perfect fit for this playgroup.
Gotta be that guy! Suarez/Stephen, you can't activate Sensei's Diving Top to draw in response to Confusion in the Ranks's exchange ability and still steal an artifact (in this case, the Door of Destinies). Both targets need to still be legal upon resolution of the ability for the exchange to happen. 1:19:40 - A Monored Chaos EDH Player :)
A few things I would like to see for the next season, love the series and the entertainment it has brought to us all. 1) Playing with a Commander and giving that Commander an additional color. (Such as Kiki-Jiki with Blue). I have played this with my friends and it has lead to some pretty interesting decks, we dont have the card availability quite like all four of you do so it would be awesome to see. We tried it with replacing either a colored or colorless mana symbol with the additional color. It kind of depended on the Commanders colored mana symbols. New Daxos and old Daxos would work well with just changing the colorless but say Anafenza you would need to add a color. Or you could just ignore that rule and go with the additional color. 2) Playing as if hybrid or mana symbols in the text box didnt count for the 99. So Tasigur could be played in a deck that just runs black, etc. 3) Play with 2 Commanders which gives you their combined color identity and their commander taxes are kept separate. 4) Two-Headed Giant Commander with 60 life. I required 2 Ally decks vs 2 Sliver decks. 5) All of you choosing the same color combination for your commanders. 6) No banlist, let the shenanigans flow through you!!!! 7) All Voltron Commanders, Uril vs Zurgo vs Rafiq, vs Bruna, or ones you all like...
at around 1:40:00 Jon starts using coin flips with karpulsan minotaur on the field, the minotaur affects every coin flips so for each coin flip he loses (for krark's thumb and impulsive maneuvers) he takes damage (x2). By the time his upkeep comes for the minotaur's cumulative upkeep he's taken ~10 damage... Stephen drops a snake and wins off pandemonium
You guys are awesome. I have been a faithful viewer of the commander vs series since the beginning. I do miss the occasional 1vs1 but the group games are always fantastic. Keep putting them out and I will keep watching. #faithfulfan #playsigardagoodstuff
1:02:19 shouldnt grip of chaos have redirected defiant bloodlords damage since it targets a single player, thus meaning it could have been randomly directed at any of the other 2 players
At 1:26:00 ish, how does one do an odd number of damage with doublestrike? Or was that a non-sliver? Wes's board state is kind of hard to sort through. Around 1:40:00 ish Stephen could have been doing damage to minotaur damage to Jonathan, as the minotaur's flip ability is for any flip.
just finished watching this game! was building a sliver overload edh deck and thought 'lets see how powerful it is' oh god XD its disgusting, made worse by that x4 damage! so very very cool :D ! love these videos guys, cant wait to see more!
I have two suggestions for what I think would be fun. 1- A Mysterious Commander game. Each player makes their decks however they wish, (be it by themselves or by taking suggestions from viewers) but they do not reveal anything at all to anyone (especially each other). They begin as they normally would, except their Commander is face down. Each full round (all 4 players make their plays), each player in turn order, makes 1 guess. They must choose another player, based on what they've seen, they try to guess that players commander. If they fail, nothing happens, whenever somebody succeeds, that player chooses a "reward". (I suggest either: Draw a card, Gain 4 Life or Put a land from your hand into play tapped). 2- For the season finale, have an Archenemy game, with the current Point Leader is the Archenemy. I also suggest that the Archenemy be a "villain" in the lore of Magic, and the three other players are "protagonists". The point rewards may need to be adjusted for this game (such as 1st, 2nd, etc., First Blood, etc.) I really hope this gets considered. If it does, that Archenemy game would be sweet with a Dragonlord vs. 3 of the Former Khans. I really enjoyed watching everything you guys have done. And I just wanted to also say, keep it up! (1 more thing. Still hoping to see a game with the most useless legends ever printed, i.e. Emmara Tandris, as Commanders) Regards, Jordan Ingram. A player at SCG Open Series Cleveland, 2015.
Norin! Just seeing that made me so damn happy. That and two tribal decks? My heart is so full of love... until Oloro. You don't have to work too hard to make Oloro miserable to play against, lol.
I have really been enjoying this. Cant wait for season 2. I think an infect deck would be fun. Also the theme of winning other then getting your opponent to 0 would be a cool episode.
This was one of best videos this season. What a way to end it. Thank you guys so much for the content and also the loads of cards I had never seen before to bring to my own group. I hope you bring Miss. South Carolina to GP Atlanta. Along with a recap video if you can scrap together a blooper reel that would be cool too. Good luck in Atlanta. #teamwes #misssouthcarolina
lmao, been watching the commander vs series since the beginning. this episode was the best so far. i actually felt bad for Stephen green.... even though he won. keep up the great work guys.
Regarding the confusion in the rings+divining top thing. You cannot activate top and draw a card if yuo want to exchange something. For an exchange to resolve both cards need to be on the battlefield when resolving.
Yall killed it with this one. Hat's off to Suarez cause that deck was off the chain and I hope with all the W's he's racked up this season that he takes it. Looking very much forward to season 2.
So many things were done wrong with Confusion in the Ranks in this video. From Gatherer: "Confusion in the Ranks triggers on itself entering the battlefield. If an opponent controls an enchantment, exchange Confusion in the Ranks for that enchantment." "The permanents are exchanged only if they're both on the battlefield when the ability resolves." Confusion should have ended up in Justin's control (since he was the only other person with enchantments) and Jon would end up with either the Phyrexian Arena or Siege.
Has been a great season!, aside from me not liking norin as a deck, it was a great game, sadly justin died so fast :( Thank you all for all this quality gameplays and fun. Now is time to point out misplays :P on warp world flipping confusion in the ranks- Confusion does trigger for each enchantment put into play from WW so misplay there, plus confusion triggers on itself. On exchanging control of permanents with confusion - exchanges doesnt happens if one of the permanents is not on the battlefield when this resolves.
At about 1:23, Wes can't sac the Necrotic Sliver and still get back Bonesythe sliver. The exchange can only happen if both creatures are still on the battlefield.
I've watched every episode, and surprisingly this is my first comment. Guys, my friends and I would absolutely LOVE to see a five color Planeswalker, Super Friends, proliferate deck! Please, make it happen! Cromat as a commander is a recommendation. Thx!
Great season! If you have personal commander decks that you use outside of these videos then it'd be great to see those in the next season, or the most powerful decks you can make from a limited pool such as modern, supplemental products (commander, conspiracy, vs. decks etc.) or pre-modern cards only.
correct me if im wrong, but dont the permanents under the losing players controls/owns get exiled? so stephen and jonathan dont get their permanents back?
I would like to say a vorthos vs. All the the flavor all the time. I have really enjoyed this before, I had a nylea god of the "forest" deck, and it was built completely on the flavor. I was pretty much seeking revenge on those who tried to destroy it (artifacts and Land destruction). I think its a cool and intersting way to play/watch commander :)
Just wanted to note that in fact, the enchantments don´t enter the battlefield at the same time as the other permanents, so they would have triggerd the Confusion in the Ranks in the same way mountains trigger Valakut from a scapeshift. At least that´s what the ruling on Gatherer says. Source: Taking it slowly, here's what happens when Warp World resolves: 1) Each player counts the number of permanents he or she owns. 2) Each player shuffles those permanents into his or her library. 3) Each player reveals cards from the top of his or her library equal to the number that player counted. 4) Each player puts all artifact, land, and creature cards revealed this way onto the battlefield. All of these cards enter the battlefield at the same time. 5) Each player puts all enchantment cards revealed this way onto the battlefield. An Aura put onto the battlefield this way can enchant an artifact, land, or creature that was already put onto the battlefield, but can't enchant an enchantment that's being put onto the battlefield at the same time as it. If multiple players have Auras to put onto the battlefield, the player whose turn it is announces what his or her Auras will enchant, then each other player in turn order does the same, then all enchantments (both Auras and non-Auras) enter the battlefield at the same time. 6) Each player puts all of his or her other revealed cards (instants, sorceries, planeswalkers, and Auras that can't enchant anything) on the bottom of his or her library in any order. - Gatherer Ruling on Warp World.
So many Karplusan Minotaur triggers that could have been throwing damage around! 46:04 Wes missed his draw step in his excitement over the Gate to the Aether trigger... :(
You guys should do a video playing some of the more hated commanders. I'm thinking Kaalia of the Vast v. Zur the Enchanter v. Damia, Sage of Stone v. Mealstrom Wanderer (or Animar Soul of Elements). Idk, just a thought :) Thanks for an awesome series, hope to see more of you guys!!
+Andrew Liang When he casts it, he specifies that, since it's his main phase, it targets 2 things. Grip of chaos redirects spells with a single target.
Jon actually did the triggers incorrectly at 45-47 mark. For each trigger with mage assembly a random creature had to be chosen. So that means Parnells creature could of stayed alive given the second trigger dice roll may not of rolled another 1.
Man, Wednesdays are going to suck for a while. Hurry back, guys! Now that we're into Commander 2015 spoilers, I think Stephen should revisit snakes of the U/G variety in season 2. Suggestion: I thought the random deck episodes were some of the strongest in the season. I'd like to see it again, but with a twist. I'd like to see all 4 decks in the pool to be built by the same builder. In my opinion, Jonathan is by far the best brewer in the group. It'd be cool to see a game of all Suarez concoctions, especially to eliminate building bad decks to sabotage someone else. I thought both Suarez entries were the strongest in both games, even with a Phage victory. Anyways, thanks for the content, kudos to Choi for the terrific production, have a fulfilling holiday, and go #TeamWes
Very fun and interesting game to watch. Just pointing out that you screwed up with confusion in the ranks as it triggers when it comes into play, also for something to be exchanged both of the permanents need to be in play, so a play such as Wes using his necrotic sliver to blow something up while confusion in the ranks' trigger is on the stack would cause the confusion's trigger to fizzle.
Just so everyone knows, if you trigger Confusion in the Ranks and one of the intended targets leaves play or somehow becomes unable to be exchanged, then neither permanent is exchanged. In Gatherer it reads "The permanents are exchanged only if they're both on the battlefield when the ability resolves." There were several instances (due to sacrifices or a Sensei Divining Top draw trigger) where the effect shouldn't have happened. Might've made for a different game, just saying. Chaos indeed!
At 28:49 Wes should have used sliver overlords ability to search and add a sliver when Suarez dropped dictate of the twin gods Wes should have pulled out the shadow sliver make them all unblockable
Several missed Karplusan Minotaur Triggers at the end. As there are several lost coin flips that could have effected the outcome, especially considering the double damage.
I love the videos. The diplomacy at the table keeps me laughing. Season 1 was great and I cant wait to see season 2. You should revisit the dragon lords, but use the ones from Dragons of Tarkir instead of Fate Reforged. Go Parnell!!
i would like to see you guys play with some of the commanders that i use, jenara, ashura of war, bosh the iron golem, shirei shinzos caretaker and lastly bruna. it would really awesome if u guys used these legendaries as commanders
So wouldn't the APNAP rule come into affect during the Warp World, meaning that the Clone would enter as a copy of any of the other players' nonland permanents?
We really need to see some Clan/Faction/Creature Type versus's in the next season! Bant vs Grixis vs Jund vs Naya/Esper Abzan vs Jeskai vs Sultai vs Mardu/Temur Elves vs Goblins vs Merfolk vs Soldiers/Zombies (or really any strong creature type. I'd love to see a Kor EDH) Just some ideas. Would be cool if we could see some set wars, like taking legendary creatures from a single set as your commander and making decks around them (attempting to utilize more cards from the set you choose) and seeing where that goes.

+Star City Games direction standpoint: no more jonhatan suarez, even a chair sitting on that chair would be better.
Amazing work by the way.
Thanks director for all that you do behind the scenes, you are the true winner this season.

Stephen - control "Nekusar, the Mindrazer"
Justin - token "Trostani, Selesnya's Voice"

reasons -
stephen - want to see him run full control
justin - because lifegain and possibly a bunch of planeswalkers (ajani/elspeth/etc.)
jonathon - group hug is best played by john because he's like "i don't care if you attack me because that'll be less help for you"
wes- giving him the best arguably out of all 4 and seeing how he doesn't win would be funny

Why at 54:06 is path of exile not randomized at the board? I thought Jon had the randomizer out on the field.
at around 1:40:00 Jon starts using coin flips with karpulsan minotaur on the field, the minotaur affects every coin flips so for each coin flip he loses (for krark's thumb and impulsive maneuvers) he takes damage (x2).
By far my favorite commander game on this channel, warp world is my favorite card. I love everything about it and all the shenanigans it brings.
1:02:19 shouldnt grip of chaos have redirected defiant bloodlords damage since it targets a single player, thus meaning it could have been randomly directed at any of the other 2 players
Also, thanks to the guys for a great first season! I look forward to Season Two with the 2015 Commander decks! Keep it coming!
Absolutely love seeing these every week, it is often the highlight of my day!
At 1:26:00 ish, how does one do an odd number of damage with doublestrike? Or was that a non-sliver? Wes's board state is kind of hard to sort through.
Around 1:40:00 ish Stephen could have been doing damage to minotaur damage to Jonathan, as the minotaur's flip ability is for any flip.
just finished watching this game!
was building a sliver overload edh deck and thought 'lets see how powerful it is'
oh god XD its disgusting, made worse by that x4 damage! so very very cool :D !
love these videos guys, cant wait to see more!
The point rewards may need to be adjusted for this game (such as 1st, 2nd, etc., First Blood, etc.)
I really hope this gets considered.
Emmara Tandris, as Commanders)
Regards, Jordan Ingram. A player at SCG Open Series Cleveland, 2015.
Norin! Just seeing that made me so damn happy. That and two tribal decks? My heart is so full of love... until Oloro.
You don't have to work too hard to make Oloro miserable to play against, lol.
At 1:12:13, shouldn't the clone have all of the targets, as everything enters the battlefield, THEN the clone ability triggers?
I have really been enjoying this. Cant wait for season 2. I think an infect deck would be fun. Also the theme of winning other then getting your opponent to 0 would be a cool episode.
Amazing content guys! I absolutely love the Noran deck! Flavour and fun is off the charts.
Loved this game. Deck Norin was amazing and it made me pumped to build one of my own
This was one of best videos this season.
Can I just vote for Suarez's deck as the highlight for this season? I know it's late, but red chaos in magic is something to truly behold.
Regarding the confusion in the rings+divining top thing. You cannot activate top and draw a card if yuo want to exchange something. For an exchange to resolve both cards need to be on the battlefield when resolving.
bring david mcdarby on to play a game or two.
Yall killed it with this one. Hat's off to Suarez cause that deck was off the chain and I hope with all the W's he's racked up this season that he takes it. Looking very much forward to season 2.
This season was fantastic and I can't wait for it to come back. Thanks guys!!
what was the final season score?
Ok Jonathan's deck this week was absolutely hilarious and Wes has the top comment. I don't want you dead... fate does :P Great set of decks this week.
So many things were done wrong with Confusion in the Ranks in this video.
From Gatherer:
"Confusion in the Ranks triggers on itself entering the battlefield. If an opponent controls an enchantment, exchange Confusion in the Ranks for that enchantment."
"The permanents are exchanged only if they're both on the battlefield when the ability resolves."
Confusion should have ended up in Justin's control (since he was the only other person with enchantments) and Jon would end up with either the Phyrexian Arena or Siege.
Please do some more planeschase. Maybe some archenemy if you are able.
I second archenemy, everyone against Suarez.
+Pwning Grenade it really should be all vs Wes, considering that's how just about every game goes for him, lol.
+LoganPRO MEDIA MAGIC Everyone against the director!
+LoganPRO MEDIA MAGIC i prefer planechase it is super fun!
Has been a great season!, aside from me not liking norin as a deck, it was a great game, sadly justin died so fast :(
Thank you all for all this quality gameplays and fun.
Now is time to point out misplays :P
on warp world flipping confusion in the ranks- Confusion does trigger for each enchantment put into play from WW so misplay there, plus confusion triggers on itself.
On exchanging control of permanents with confusion - exchanges doesnt happens if one of the permanents is not on the battlefield when this resolves.
OMG Stephen at 40.40! Skyshroud Claim makes the lands UNTAPPED!
+Adalbert Schwahfel well the enter how they do, the tomb still enters tapped unless he wanted to pay 2
Great season! I really enjoyed it every Wednesday was amazing! Thank you. And my team and I are looking forward to meeting all of you at GPAtlanta.
I love these videos, and especially the changes for this season. Thank again!
A mighty 3colored warrior themed battle!
- Kresh the Bloodbraided
- Dakkon Blackblade
- Ruhan of the Fomori
- Zurgo Helmsmasher
Wes could have stolen back his slivers with Overlord had he not shuffled it back into his deck
correct me if im wrong, but dont the permanents under the losing players controls/owns get exiled? so stephen and jonathan dont get their permanents back?
John technically saved Stephen from Wes when he was about to get quadruple damage from Overlord and belligerent sliver, he should get that point.
Shouldn't the life loss ability at 1:01:10 be randomly redirected?
Just wanted to note that in fact, the enchantments don´t enter the battlefield at the same time as the other permanents, so they would have triggerd the Confusion in the Ranks in the same way mountains trigger Valakut from a scapeshift.
At least that´s what the ruling on Gatherer says.
Source:
Taking it slowly, here's what happens when Warp World resolves: 1) Each player counts the number of permanents he or she owns.
That was bloody awesome! Can't wait for the next series! Please kick it off with the new commander 2015 commanders?
So many Karplusan Minotaur triggers that could have been throwing damage around!
46:04 Wes missed his draw step in his excitement over the Gate to the Aether trigger... :(
Is there anywhere to see deck lists for the decks played this season?
Great final, awesome series, very entertaining and I can't wait for season 2!!
Any sort of date for when season 2 will be starting up? Looking forward to seeing these guys mess around with the new commanders.
Are you guys going to put the first season on dvd i would buy it!
Love the show lads, keep it up! I have become used to watching ye weekly!
Next season.... Twin headed giant hased to be done of course.
super nice chaos, very good stuff, keep delivering guys
You guys should do a video playing some of the more hated commanders. I'm thinking Kaalia of the Vast v. Zur the Enchanter v. Damia, Sage of Stone v. Mealstrom Wanderer (or Animar Soul of Elements). Idk, just a thought :) Thanks for an awesome series, hope to see more of you guys!!
Name is pronounced "Darrison" if credited, thanks!
I need a new episode in 2024 with Jon playing this chaos deck again!
Just ignore that minotaur for so long (Any coin flip)
I would watch these 4 decks again a hundred times. They should just rotate decks and do it again. That Norin deck looks like so much fun to play with!
where can I find Suarez's deck list? I think my play group would love it.
shouldnt the targets of "return to dust" be random because of "grip of chaos"? or did i miss something?...
+Andrew Liang When he casts it, he specifies that, since it's his main phase, it targets 2 things. Grip of chaos redirects spells with a single target.
Andrew Liang I agree with you. It is two single targets so should have been randomised.
you guys missed the insane exchange after the warp world into confusion in the rank. it triggers for each relevant targets
Jon actually did the triggers incorrectly at 45-47 mark. For each trigger with mage assembly a random creature had to be chosen. So that means Parnells creature could of stayed alive given the second trigger dice roll may not of rolled another 1.
I would LOVE to see 4 improved versions of the 5 C15 Decks. :)
Having so much fun watching the series. :)
Not sure if this has been done yet, but I would love to see a Jhoira of the Ghitu deck at some point.
wes, there was an aether vial on your side multiple turns, but you didn't put charge counters on it!
@ 11:07 how did Stephen get 1 damage? was there a card that gave himself damage that he played?
"I play Anarchist and get world world back" Words that nobody should ever like, only thing that was missing was "I play hive mind"
I have a Jhoira Commander deck similar to Suarez's Norin. The chaos is fun, but over time it does create a lot of frustration as well.
I'm Excited! lets watch this!
So wouldn't the APNAP rule come into affect during the Warp World, meaning that the Clone would enter as a copy of any of the other players' nonland permanents?
John Suarez: "Our pets heads are falling off "!! that made me laugh out loud and nearly woke up the kids :P
Definitely got get some play of the pre-con decks! They come out This week, it'd be perfect season two goodness!
We really need to see some Clan/Faction/Creature Type versus's in the next season!
Bant vs Grixis vs Jund vs Naya/Esper
Abzan vs Jeskai vs Sultai vs Mardu/Temur
Elves vs Goblins vs Merfolk vs Soldiers/Zombies (or really any strong creature type. I'd love to see a Kor EDH)
Just some ideas. Would be cool if we could see some set wars, like taking legendary creatures from a single set as your commander and making decks around them (attempting to utilize more cards from the set you choose) and seeing where that goes.
