I don’t remember the model anymore. Even being a nitro, it never broke and I drove it A LOT over 8 years. The first edition of the rustler VXL with a 3S was way more than I could handle. My favorite however was the T-Maxx. Although I went through 4 motors and 2 chassis I’ve probably spent $3,000-4,000 on that thing. And not it sits on a shelf for the last 15 years with no motor.

They are pretty cool but im still a fan of 1/8th truggy the most. More durable I find and I think for the most part it comes down to weight. These heavy units just his so hard when bashing. Arrma Talion is very durable for a truggy even stock. A few upgrades and I think it might even be more durable then my old school savage x witch id say is one of the most durable 1/8th rc for back in the day.
I did not realize this rc is 1000.00 here in the states. I was tripping when I spent 650.00 on my Felony...I wanted to buy this truck.... but that's a bit rich for me.
yea I like traxxas I have 2 slashes and a 1/8 e revo but this car is way overpriced its not much diffrent then the e revo just a newer more expensive version I'm not shure if it's 6s like revo ir 8s tho
Shooot, just to get the XRT to compare to my Kraton I had to spend an extra $800-900. My 12s ($1500) Kraton (now 8s) makes the $2000 XRT look like poo and the K8 handles better and Just as durable.
Man that car looks soo cool, especially the size. He got a lot of heads turning, too bad it couldn't hold up. Thanks for showing what a high end car can sometimes look like. I can't afford it and if I could I would be a Sunday driver lol😂
I don’t think anything’s perfect… however.. Traxxas is no better than some of the cheap stuff I review. People just see the name and think it’s gonna be perfect, where as it’s really not
I think when I get mine I will WD-40 soak the wheel hexes to make them more flexible, then hot glue around the outside of them for strength, what do ya think?
Back in the 90,s when i built a Mardave Nitro car it said in the instructions to boil the plastic suspension parts in water for 5 mins so they don,t go brittle and break.Alway thought it strange but it survived.
Every RC car/truck that I have has broken at some point. Usually they break from a roll or landing that didn't look near as bad as most of the bad landings that is survived many times before. My MT-10 just broke a suspension arm from a slightly askew 4 foot in the air jump. Doesn't matter how much they cost or how tough they are supposed to be they all break something eventually. I have been currently battling a Losi Baja Rey. 4 out 6 battery packs I have ran ending with breaking something and I wasn't even bashing it. Hopefully I have it toughened up enough now with all the aftermarket parts that I had to buy. Just part of the hobby...
Great water crossing shot‼️. I've put my big rock through more hell than that - not to mention the MT10... with far fewer breaks!! This is how you shoot videos‼️👍👍🦾🦾🤘🤘

They are pretty cool but im still a fan of 1/8th truggy the most. More durable I find and I think for the most part it comes down to weight. These heavy units just his so hard when bashing. Arrma Talion is very durable for a truggy even stock. A few upgrades and I think it might even be more durable then my old school savage x witch id say is one of the most durable 1/8th rc for back in the day.
mine has a squeak coming from the rear tire any idea of what it could be
I definitely don't need anymore money pits 😁 But hey if ya have the funds more power to ya 👍
Haha
My kraton 4s v2 is an ultimate money pit mate, amazing when it's not on the bench though 👍
@@darronstoddard3148 😂🤣 Heard that, thanks for the warning 👍🏻😁
@@darronstoddard3148is that version 2.5?
Watch out they might sue you wearing that shirt.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The XRT is absolutely nothing even close to what the Revo is. Totally different in every way possible 😂
@@Stellar_Novaa are you saying it's better or worse than the erevo?
@@theLyzhendricks I love my Traxxas Rustler vxl 2wd. It's such an awesome truggy. I do want to get an erevo though.
I didn't get to chat to you at East, but great content and that slow mo across the swamp was beautiful. 👍👍
I spoke to so many people that day..... maybe next time. Such a good event
Amazing how water resistant it is!! I was satisfied!!! Hugs from Brazil!!
Man that car looks soo cool, especially the size. He got a lot of heads turning, too bad it couldn't hold up. Thanks for showing what a high end car can sometimes look like. I can't afford it and if I could I would be a Sunday driver lol😂
Traxxas Tuff!!!
Is it better than the Kagama ?
Traxxas quality is really going down the Toilet!!!
Lol what's better then, because every car every make needs a upgrade lol you people
No it's not!
Well I'm waiting for your list of better cars,I've only seen Phil have that problem so far
I don’t think anything’s perfect… however.. Traxxas is no better than some of the cheap stuff I review. People just see the name and think it’s gonna be perfect, where as it’s really not
I love my x maxx but their Electronics radio tires and rims absolutely blow
Gorgeous XRT!
@@GhostLead65 well that's interesting, thank you
Your xrt looks great with the louise cyclone's i got x maxx myself with the same tires 😁
The traxxas kraton. They get mad if you even cone close to copying them... then they just blatantly make almost the exact same rc as the arrma kraton.
Brilliant video!
Cheers dude
Did you put a piece of tape over the vent holes in the rims?
Nice Run 😍👍🏻
Cheers dude
Nice montage x
Merci 😍
Big Rock & MT10 are some of the toughest out there 👌
Nice firelighter.
🔥
can it rock crawl tho?
06:44 That's what she said. Haha. LOL. Keep up the rc hobby. Kind regards HK (Netherlands)
Haha… 😎
Love those wheels!!
What's the drying device thing, please? :)
great vid entertaining the t shirt at the end was 2 much lmao keep up the good work, you should bring that rig to BC mountains in western Canada........
Could be worse, could be mine😂
So cool. I want one so badly
Dry in the UK? Surely a date to remember!
Yes… mark it down in history 😅
I jumped my Redcat Tornado once and it sheared the dogbone which was strange to me.
Cool camera work 😎
Thank you
The very reason I gave the hobby up, repairs, repairs, repairs, upgrade this, upgrade that etc etc……
Nice!! What size wheel nut are those?? Thanks
I really like the look of the XRT but it seems to be slow off roading than the Xmaxx.
I think you just need to gear it properly
This is an example of why I advise some younger guys to get into R/C. You don't have to spend $1500 on something like this but for a few hundred you can get a decent rig, load up your gear and go have some fun alone at the beach or wherever and not bother a soul.
MANY women will see this and think "grown man playing with toys" and I say "what's your point"? lol......
Great photography. The truck performed extremely well. The first location was neat with all the other bashers out there. The beach run was great and I enjoyed the slow motion. Have you tried contacting Traxxas about the wheels. In the states I have called Traxxas when a servo failed after only a few days of running and they sent me a new. You have pictures and if it's a common problem, may be they will help.
Traxxas support in the UK is not great from what I've heard
@@TomleyRC That's too bad. It might be worth a try. All they can say is no.
