You made a statement for those who have been falsely accused. You face very real repercussions, but you survived. The internet is real life, real people's opinions on everything in real time everywhere. Its terrifying how fast so much uncertainty can build up, and to be the subject matter in the chaos, is stressful. To say the least.
It sounds strange, but practicing "selfishness" has helped for me. Practicing feeling like I'm the only person in the world, and no one else matters. It balances out my tendency to think that people and their opinions of me are the difference between my world surviving vs my world ending.

it is sad how twitter becomes some sort of court of justice for people. but when people have to go to twitter to suddenly go public with stuff like that you can be 100% sure that most of it is a lie for attention and to ruin someones life. recently one of the night in the woods developers for example took his own life because some girl claimed that he held her captive over twitter while her own tweets and schedules clearly show she was lying. plus she was also known for lying and making a game and jsut running away with the money from supporters. if twitter doesnt do anything against such stuff who knows what will happen in the future the smallest accusation nowadays can ruin someones live even if proven innocent

I spent over a year in jail when I was 17 because of very similar accusations that weren't true. I was locked up with rapists, robbers, kidnappers, murderers, etc who were spending 25 to life in prison. I wasn't in a juvee section or some youth camp. I was in the same cells as the adults. It was extremely traumatizing and life changing. It doesn't look good when your paperwork says some no no charges at 17 in jail lol. One of the worst times of my life. I'm 23 now and it's forever affected me. It's changed my entire psyche, the way I think, feel, act, everything. My situation wasn't on such a large scale like yours where hundreds of thousands, if not millions, were involved, but I certainly relate to your situation very much so. And it's so awesome seeing you come out the other side as the Victor. Thank you, we appreciate the fight and defense you gave and still give.

I has something very similar happen to me. I was accused of having "r-word"ed an ex. All false acusations, but I was still taken into custody based on what she said, spending the night in a cell. I had to stand up in court and prove my innocence in front of my parents. I proved it beyond a doubt because I did non of those things. I know how it feels to be innocent and have everyone point fingers at you and lots of people suddenly disappear. Life goes on, new people appear, you learn just how many people are assholes, but thanfully, it also helps you realise how many people are genuine and are willing to listen. What I'm trying to say is just hold on. Look at this comment section, everyone loves you, even if some have left. Don't let them win. Keep doing you and let you reclaim them. Lot's of love Slaz! I remember when the allegations came out. It was a bad feeling, sure, and people clowned on you, sure, but it didn't feel...right. Like there was a piece of the puzzle I was missing. I didn't want to believe it even with so much "evidence" but it was so suddenly brought to light that none of this made sense. And then you vanished for a bit, which--good on you, don't reply right away and let things simmer, take care of yourself among all else because social media is atrocious on the mental health. And then My Side came out. It was a breath of fresh air after a long time of holding my breath, I was relieved to hear you hadn't let her win, you came back with a civil dispute and you pulled out more evidence instead of playing the "no, just believe me because i'm on youtube!" card. The fake friends and youtubers who had nothing to do with this but still threw you under the bus can burn and rot, and I hope they get what they deserve for fueling a fire that had no right to exist. I'm glad you made it and cleared the air with actual proof, but I'm so sad it even happened and it messed you up this badly. I've never even heard you stutter before, it's disheartening. I hope she has to deal with the consequences rather than deleting her twitter and getting away with no punishment like she thinks she wants to. I had a complete fucking meltdown when this happened because I had this feeling something was off but everyone kept saying that I was wrong and I eventually just didn't fuckin know what to believe anymore. Bro I’m so sorry a similar thing happened to my dad two years ago and he’s still trying to fix the issues she caused. I saw him fully break down and cry hard many times and it was tough on everyone. He had come off the back of a messy divorce and it was his first serious girlfriend since that. There were a lot of court meetings and lawsuits so it was incredibly tough financially in a war of lawyers. He was arrested a few times which was obviously stressful but thankfully he’s just been proven innocent and is working on what to do now as he looks for a new job and deals with a (temporary) criminal record. My point is, it gets better

It honestly makes me angry, my girlfriend was sexually abused and never came forward with it, and what your ex did literally makes it more difficult for people like my girlfriend to come forward. Don't even get me started on the UA-camrs who helped her do it and then died on a hill afterward instead of admitting their error and apologizing. This is one of the biggest problems rape victims face, it's already difficult enough to get justice on somebody who committed the crime, because it's usually circumstantial with only two witnesses, the victim and the attacker, and most court systems won't accept that as reason enough to convict, but then to also have a lot of people doubt a victim's story because of people like Chey, it's horrible. I'm glad you're willing to be open about it and spread awareness about the severity of lying about rape. Everyone can see it ruins the life of the accused, not many people realize it also causes a broader issue to the victims who have been assaulted.

This happened to my boyfriend a few days ago but instead it wasn’t a past lover or anything it was just this girl who didn’t like him (he did literally nothing to her in all of the years they knew each other). Lucky for her, she got a cop that just believed her without any kind of proof even after we explained the situation. She said “i don’t have to explain myself” and the cop just said “okay, he’s being reported” and he might get it on his record that he sexually harassed someone that he wants nothing to do with.
The thought of this is so scary, just having that on your record without actually doing anything. That would be a bad thing for anyone of course, but I personally would be ruined by this because I work with children and one of the requirements is to have a clean record in sexual, violent and drug related crimes. So I'd never be able to do the job I love again if this shit happened to me.
Frying Pan the thing that really kicks me the most is that she literally gave the cop NOTHING. Just the names of the guys who “sexually harassed” her. No day, no place, nothing about what happened, no time, etc. She just said “these two guys sexually assaulted me (the other guy was our friend who knows she’s crazy too) here are their names and numbers.” The police called the both of them and when we were like “that’s not what happened at all, (were in a completely other state mind you) we want nothing to do with her” cop was like “sure okay. I know you guys did it.” we can’t even do anything because we think everything’s pretty much closed.

I saw the picture Alex put on instagram about Michael (Slazo) making out with a girl and being all supportive... only to not 2 days later take it down and start the accusations that he was inappropriate with THAT girl and then moving on to Michael’s ex. Therefore as soon as it clicked what was going on, I figured a smear campaign had begun. Slazo was gaining popularity at a rate that Alex had not previously/currently wasn’t, which history has shown makes Alex jealous. Not to mention that Alex OPENLY admitted that he rides popular UA-camr’s coattails only to ditch them when he no longer needs them/surpasses them. Then he gets in close with people at the next level and subcount he wants to be at. Rinse and repeat. Tl;dr: Alex isn’t called a snake because of his lisp or tongue size.
So glad my gut instinct was correct on this. I didn't unsubscribe and was immensely relieved when My Side came out. He seems like a really genuine person, he owned up to whatever he needed to, he handled this all super maturely, I'm glad to see him coming back from this.

I spent over a year in jail when I was 17 because of very similar accusations that weren't true. I was locked up with rapists, robbers, kidnappers, murderers, etc who were spending 25 to life in prison. I wasn't in a juvee section or some youth camp. I was in the same cells as the adults. It was extremely traumatizing and life changing. It doesn't look good when your paperwork says some no no charges at 17 in jail lol. One of the worst times of my life. I'm 23 now and it's forever affected me. It's changed my entire psyche, the way I think, feel, act, everything. My situation wasn't on such a large scale like yours where hundreds of thousands, if not millions, were involved, but I certainly relate to your situation very much so. And it's so awesome seeing you come out the other side as the Victor. Thank you, we appreciate the fight and defense you gave and still give.

And its just as terrifying hearing from men all tbe social turmoil they go through after accusations. I has something very similar happen to me. I was accused of having "r-word"ed an ex. All false acusations, but I was still taken into custody based on what she said, spending the night in a cell. I had to stand up in court and prove my innocence in front of my parents. I proved it beyond a doubt because I did non of those things.
I know how it feels to be innocent and have everyone point fingers at you and lots of people suddenly disappear.
Life goes on, new people appear, you learn just how many people are assholes, but thanfully, it also helps you realise how many people are genuine and are willing to listen. What I'm trying to say is just hold on. Look at this comment section, everyone loves you, even if some have left. Don't let them win. Keep doing you and let you reclaim them.

It's terrible to watch this because at the beginning of 2019 someone did the same to me...Nobody listens to YOUR side. Just to the one who is victimicing themselves. It's been almost a year and yet whenever I go on twitter, random people I've never heard of had me blocked and I was basically kicked out of the fandom I felt home in for 3 yrs. Just today I was scrolling and randomly found someone. Since then I've become anxious to show people my full real name or the things I like.
So I can relate to this in a waaaaay smaller version. Focus on those that actually listened to your side first. It won't be okay tomorrow or better next week. Almost a year later my name still gets thrown under the bus and people hate me for things I have never said, but it will get better

I have to agree with this, especially since something happened just recently and I feel like I can’t say a word about it. Stuff like this makes me afraid to say anything cause I feel like I won’t be believed no matter what.
I remember when the allegations came out. It was a bad feeling, sure, and people clowned on you, sure, but it didn't feel...right. Like there was a piece of the puzzle I was missing. I didn't want to believe it even with so much "evidence" but it was so suddenly brought to light that none of this made sense. And then you vanished for a bit, which--good on you, don't reply right away and let things simmer, take care of yourself among all else because social media is atrocious on the mental health. And then My Side came out. It was a breath of fresh air after a long time of holding my breath, I was relieved to hear you hadn't let her win, you came back with a civil dispute and you pulled out more evidence instead of playing the "no, just believe me because i'm on youtube!" card. The fake friends and youtubers who had nothing to do with this but still threw you under the bus can burn and rot, and I hope they get what they deserve for fueling a fire that had no right to exist. I'm glad you made it and cleared the air with actual proof, but I'm so sad it even happened and it messed you up this badly. I've never even heard you stutter before, it's disheartening. I hope she has to deal with the consequences rather than deleting her twitter and getting away with no punishment like she thinks she wants to. Bro I’m so sorry a similar thing happened to my dad two years ago and he’s still trying to fix the issues she caused. I saw him fully break down and cry hard many times and it was tough on everyone. He had come off the back of a messy divorce and it was his first serious girlfriend since that. There were a lot of court meetings and lawsuits so it was incredibly tough financially in a war of lawyers. He was arrested a few times which was obviously stressful but thankfully he’s just been proven innocent and is working on what to do now as he looks for a new job and deals with a (temporary) criminal record. My point is, it gets better

It honestly makes me angry, my girlfriend was sexually abused and never came forward with it, and what your ex did literally makes it more difficult for people like my girlfriend to come forward. She cried wolf about something very serious, literally just to get back at you? Just out of jealousy, because you were moving on and doing well for yourself. Don't even get me started on the UA-camrs who helped her do it and then died on a hill afterward instead of admitting their error and apologizing. She also just disappeared after receipts came out instead of answering for it and apologizing for lying. This is one of the biggest problems rape victims face, it's already difficult enough to get justice on somebody who committed the crime, because it's usually circumstantial with only two witnesses, the victim and the attacker, and most court systems won't accept that as reason enough to convict, but then to also have a lot of people doubt a victim's story because of people like Chey, it's horrible. I'm glad you're willing to be open about it and spread awareness about the severity of lying about rape. Everyone can see it ruins the life of the accused, not many people realize it also causes a broader issue to the victims who have been assaulted.

This happened to my boyfriend a few days ago but instead it wasn’t a past lover or anything it was just this girl who didn’t like him (he did literally nothing to her in all of the years they knew each other). Lucky for her, she got a cop that just believed her without any kind of proof even after we explained the situation. She said “i don’t have to explain myself” and the cop just said “okay, he’s being reported” and he might get it on his record that he sexually harassed someone that he wants nothing to do with.
The thought of this is so scary, just having that on your record without actually doing anything. That would be a bad thing for anyone of course, but I personally would be ruined by this because I work with children and one of the requirements is to have a clean record in sexual, violent and drug related crimes. So I'd never be able to do the job I love again if this shit happened to me.

Slazo was gaining popularity at a rate that Alex had not previously/currently wasn’t, which history has shown makes Alex jealous. I've had my two "best friends" lie to my face about each of them being sexually assaulted, one of whom tried to convince me that my own assault at the hands of her friend never happened when I confided in her 3 years earlier, so I trusted my gut and never believed you did anything wrong (other than you admitting to being a less than stellar bf when you were 16, because what 16 year old is good at relationships?).

Honestly though, what you went through was public slander and damage of identity, it can be considered a case to bring to a court if it has caused a lot of personal and potential damage, such as causing damage to your own health, whether mental or emotional or physical...what she did was not right at all

it's all he said/she said even though one side (Slazo) seems more right than the other there's no conclusive evidence on either side or any admission of guilt. Also suing someone accusing you of sexual assault is rarely a good idea PR-wise.

False accusations should be taken seriously. I don't think people should feel free to knowingly falsely accuse other people, because "They can't do anything against it, it would be bad for their PR".

As a victim of abuse (who’s abuser is living fine and not seeing any consequences), seeing Slazo being falsely accused and now he’s dropped off of UA-cam has made me so sad. Slazo was 16 and older during the events of the relationship. He lives in Canberra, and the age of consent here is 16. So no, he was not, and is not a minor.

@@ChisaiKo I disagree. If we look at this and ignore the age issue (the age difference is still appropriate, even if he was over the age of majority, that's why Romeo and Juliet laws exist). This is simply a case of awkward teenagers and miscommunication, he was under the wrong impression due to his girlfriend giving him the wrong impression, whether or not she did so maliciously at the time is unknown, but she did lie or misrepresent it later on.
I don't think a 16 yo dating a 14-15 yo is necessarily wrong, even if it may be illegal in some places. You bringing up legality as some kind of absolute judgement on morality is wrong.
Being betrayed has literally given Slazo repercussions that will last for years. It's going to be so hard for him to grow outside the friends who stood by him this whole time.
