- I wanted some alcove shelves to display some items. I decided to make a stack of apple crates into shelves.

Liking the more frequent upload content. Brilliant.
That reminds me. I need to catch up on kitchen ramblings
I’ve had two of those tacwise guns and had nothing but trouble with them. Can’t believe yours appears to be working flawlessly. Fantastic project btw Matt 👍🏻
Excellent video and a good project too! Good on you for putting things on display, reminders of perseverance, dedication and skill. I hope they will inspire you!
We have an alcove behind a normally open door similarly filled with crates, but sadly they are the small IKEA KNAGGLIG wooden crates, not nice hand made ones. They are however, just perfect for keeping fever tree tonic bottles
Nice job can i ask the corner parts you ripped at 45° what size was the stock to start with? Looked around 25-30mm square??
Great little build Matt, looked great. Had to knock up some crates for a wedding recently but I was hand nailing and you made it look 100x easier lol.
Hi Matt, those shelves look really good, and of course your keep sakes need some place to sit, that stain colour was perfect, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
Thanks Matt, they look great, a really good use for all those offcuts and that finish came out well too !
Was there a reason why the bottom crate had no back (bottom) slats, I'm presuming it was done to allow access to power sockets or did you just run out of slats ?
Do you still do any craft fairs Matt ? Some of these crates would be ideal for making a practical and attractive backdrop for displaying items for sale !
Hello Matt, I really like these crate. I would love to make some after I move into my new house. Your badgers remind me a children’s book called the Heartwood Hotel. The hotel owner is a badger. Check it out! ❤
Looks great. My wife has always called me badger so I love the collection, and the name of the channel obviously. Although when you reached across to move an off cut while the table saw was on my stomach had a little wobble 😬😁
That's a great way to make some decorative shelves. They looked really great Matt
What is amazing is how methodical and tidy you are , me I could get filthy in a vacuum
Love this comment. Me too!
Your link sends us a £130.00 nail gun!!
That's a really good aesthetic!!
Nice, love the modulation idea.
great project and made to look easy
That looks really good. Well done 👏
A great project
Surprised to see you not using any wood glue to make the cases stronger. Great idea though 🙂
Thank you
Hi Matt, definitely putting on the weight from your kitchen ramblings channel
That looks really good. I'm a big fan of the Manns stuff from Wood Finishes Direct. Their primary colour stains (red, blue, etc) also cover really well. And their water based polyurethane brushes on and polishes to a high shine. If you can be bothered with that sort of thing.
👍👍👍Another brilliant project. Thanks Matt
Cool! Great use of left over stock.
It was good to use it up
Ok so when you said apple crate this is NOT what I was expecting. They're the highest quality apple crates I've seen in a long time. Great job and great use of that space. Love how you styled them.
I like the rustic Matt look too (jk, lovely idea and execution)
I love that you did not make matching shelves for those alcoves. The crates look great and one can never have too many badgers.
An elegant design and the new stain is very effective. Well done
out or curiosity, why did you opt for staples over nails here?
Just more secure
You can never have enough badgers
Loving the look of the workshop now
Another lovely project Matt...am interested in a getting a table saw. Can I ask what you are currently using?
I have a Bosch 18v
Hi Matt, absolutely brilliant ,the apple crates look great and look the part in your house, plenty of room now for books and badgers, great video take care
Yes definitely room for some more books
Stain looks nice and even 👍🏻. Great project for the scraps
Thank you
Looks really good - nice to see badgers have a proper home! Tell me, how long have you been using the Tacwise nail gun - have you found it to be ok? Mine kept jamming and I got fed up with it but really should get on with the job I was using it one :(
I have had it over a year. Does not get a lot of use but works well for me
@@Badgerworkshop Ah ok thx... must be how I use it. 🤔🙄
Really beautiful work, Matt! Nicely done! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you
First!
Great idea that looks really neat, good to see the Badgers at home there.
Thank you
That was a nicer colour.
Thank you
Brilliant!😃
Thank you
