@The bush beeman. Hey Mark that swarm of bees I cought a month ago now.. all I did was buy deep frames and put them together without wire .. and just melted a little bit of wax . Along the grove of frame when put wax foundation in frame .. 9 out of 10 frames in four weeks are full of brood and honey capped in them .. and not a problem with the wax they built in the frames .. I thought I would mention this .. because as you know that I was trying to lure a swarm of bees in the hive since last spring.. I dont know if you will comment oh what ever. With this post because I'm not a paitrion.. but just thought I would give you a update on the swarm of bees in the hive.. and comment about the frames and wax foundation... and not having any trouble with the way I put them in the hive... anyway keep up the great work mark.. lots of great knowledge..

    Hey Bush Bee Man.
    Tip :
To get tight wire, that never slacks, is to clamp the Frame Side to Side (with one of those long rail Clamps, with a one Handed crank tight option) put The Frame under 'tension', add the Wire, tie the ends to nail etc. Then "declamp" and Bam# the Wire is super tight forever ! 👍
Doesn't even need that Crimper (tightening gadget.) Simples. 😎

I just hook up my battery charger to the tacks that hold the tension on the wire. then hammer them in after I've got the foundation in

LOL, Well done Mark and John! This is a great video, reality is time you have to set yourself up. Start in Winter, or buy in spring in a hurry! You might want to meet "Brad the Nail gun" if you are doing the numbers you guys need! I recommend you look at other glues for food grade, strength and cost FWIW. Stay safe!

@The bush bee man : I'm curious if you need to use metal wire? Would fishing wire work just the same? I was thinking to run the wire across 4 times and before tightening the wire, put the foundation in with two wires in front and two in the back. Then tack down the wire and the bees should theoretically wax right over the top?
I'm brand new and have ordered my supplies but haven't put them together yet.

Anyone got a good supplier i can trust in nsw australia for frames.. cant find dimension in metric and i dont work in monkey wrenches per washing machine, so i need a good place to buy a few to copy the dimensions, every beekeper i look up with vids on them , they dont make them they buy them from elsewhere and never mention dimensions or who they buy from..

China it was china the country he’s talking about I bet you. Because k made the same mistake! The price difference was pretty great especially if you have even 50+ hives so I was like what the heck let me just go ahead and try them. We’ll… yeah as bush bee man stated the wire was NOT stainless steel lol
