This week, Gene and I celebrated our thirty-ninth wedding anniversary.
Our years together represent a lot of opportunities to celebrate process and progress.
Thirty-nine years of:
job changes;
educational adventures;
births and deaths;
dreams realized and dreams crushed;
heart celebrations and heart aches.
We’ve experienced quite a life journey together.
We experience daily opportunities for growth in this invitation of shared married life. And the growth opportunities continue…
This week we chose a fun way to practice connection that is new to us. Gene and I played pickleball for the first time. “Played”... not “competed” or “performed.” We celebrate our practice and laugh at our newbie attempts on the hotel’s “no spectator” pickleball court.
Life is process and progress. We choose to celebrate new forms of practicing and participating in ever-present connection.
