thank you very much, your the best teacher...god bless.
You are welcome!
you are Great thank you very much
👍
Resp Sir! Very Excellent Vedio Sir. Thank U Sir. -- Chinna Rao
So nice of you
Remember to check the data sheet very important this test does not apply to every IC example 4N35 right up to ic 4N37 have 4 emitter 5 collector 6 base they all show a reading as they are all connected.
I would love to see a video on data sheets and how to understand the input out to understand how to take measurements.
Great point! Noted
What reading is displayed on the screen? Millivolts?
Sorry I don't understand what you are saying.
tks dude!! you may speak faster!! time is money for us!!😆
❤❤❤
Hi sir
Very nice Guide Thanks a lot,s Respectable Sir. Muhammad khalid khan Electronic Shope Clifton karachi.
You are very welcome, New awesome videos every day
Please explain why DIODES are not present in car automotive relays? It is a fact that diodes serves as protection against the back emf voltage from the relay coil.
Some relays do have diodes.
@@UpInSmoke54 please explain what diodes are not used in some car automotive relays. I'm really confused.
If they are not present doesn't mean there is no protection, ther are other components that can protect the car circuits.
Allah bless you
I have tried this method on numerous boards and it does not work. The only way it works is when i remove the optocoupler from the board and then test. I was misled from your video when i thought that my optocoupler was bad only to realize that it tested good once desoldered from the board...can you provide an explanation
Ive found that other components (such as capacitors, iductors, transformers etc.) in the circuit cause the multimeter to read different values, as they are all interconnect. This causes the multimeter to read the resistance across those components as apposed to across the component I want. This phenomenon can occur when measuring resistors aswell and cause really inaccurate results. I find that it is good practice to desolder atleast one leg of the component to make sure that the mulimeter is only measuring the component I want to measure and not picking up other random components instead.
Totally agree with you. Best way is to remove it and used two Multimeters

You can't reliably test optocoupler that way when it's connected to the circuit!
If you say that you can't, don't you think you should say why?
Testing the collector-emitter junction like that isn't good enough to show that it's definitely OK. All it does is show that it's not short. An optocoupler could be damaged in a way that the collector-emitter junction goes genuinely open circuit, so your test would show it as good, when it's actually bad.
I would think injecting the rated voltage into the LED would cause a change in EC resistance. Agreed that many of this guy's tests are not the most comprehesive, but they can help people to get started.
This test is not enogh to test opto
