What is this Circuit Simulation software? I would like to use this optocoupler not as a on-off circuit. Can I use it to control the brightness of the output LED? I would like to use it in the active mode of the transistor. I want to make a Switch power supply using an ATTNIY85 as a controller and I want to read the output voltage of it using an optocoupler. In the emitter side I want to use a resistor divider connected to an analog pin. In the LED side a TL431 to regulate the current of the optocoupler.

(the series lamp stays on for a lonnnng time then stops and sometimes stays on for ever) i am afraid of putting it direct in the mains. thanks.

Hello I watch a lot of your videos, but one thing I must say is you never fully explain the objective of your video. For example you are using an opto-coupler connected to a voltage reference IC, connected to a voltage divider - but never explain the purpose of those components in relation to your objective. One, could achieve the demonstration without voltage-divider and voltage reference IC - by connecting pin 1 to input signal and pin 2 to ground. Please can you explain the purpose of voltage-divider and voltage reference IC?
best regards you are right. if i try to explain a complete setup, so the video will toooo long. so i try to explain in parts. for voltage reference and voltage reference please check video number 229. its other main part is still remaining that is CTR. (how to configure optocoupler with adjustable reference regulator in smps circuit for proper feedback and how to select compensation type and how to match the error amplifier with CTR of optocoupler as i have to manage my office so it becomes very hard to record very long lectures and editing it. i love to explain in detail, so that's why my videos are long please accept my best regards and special thanks
