I actually just did this install with the exact same sub in my 2005 4Runner. Except, my sub isn’t responding. All other speakers are working fine. Fade, balance and surround work fine. I don’t know, maybe a multimeter will show if it’s even getting power. Anyway, it is a great video. That disassembly is a bear. Thanks.
@pm477 thank you for the feedback! Maybe you have the wiring hooked up wrong to the subwoofer? The color codes are not hooked up like you would think, go back to where I'm connecting the wires to the sub the color codes are shown there. That is what I'm guessing is going on with your setup. Glad you enjoyed the video, let me know if I can help diagnose further.
You’re going to laugh. 😂 I rewatched your video after viewing another on the same task. I noticed the way you both stripped your wires and realized I hadn’t stripped enough bare wire. Went back, did that and everything is working fine now. Thanks, again, for that video.
@@pm477 the navigation JBL unit that came factory on the limited models. People keep mentioning to go with a newer radio with car play equiped but I'm good with what i have. I added a Bluetooth dongle to the aux and im happy with it.
Thank You Mike, Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for watching.

@@pm477 I'm sure we've all done that at many points in our lives lol 😆 glad it was a simple fix.
@@diymike5747 I forgot to ask you if you're running the factory head unit or an aftermarket brand.

Suprised you did the measurements on the oem jbl but didn't show measurements on the Pioneer but great video
I didn't but should have, should be pretty close to the same size of the factory JBL one.
