Ahhh I lived in Canggu for four months right before the pandem... kicked in, and everyone was right when they say mama Bali will TEST YOU!!! lol.. I went alone too and I remember how intimidating it was at first but of course that all gets better over time as I'm sure you already know from traveling so much ☺ My luggage didn't make it, my feet were covered in these weird itchy bites, and I got in a scooter accident all basically within in my first week there 😅🥴 It was an intense time of adjustment in so many ways but there is absolutely no place like it!!! Thinking about you and sending all the good vibes as you settle in and get to know Bali! It's gonna be amazing ❤ You got this!!

I lived in Bali for 6 months! Head over to the Serenity Eco Guesthouse, they have amazing/affordable vegan food + aerial yoga + a pool + massage on site. That's one of my favorite spots in Bali and definitely my favorite place in Canggu.

Street walking is always challenging in Indonesia, even in laid-back Bali. I spent 3 years in Jakarta, a mega-city that has hardly any sidewalks and visited Bali at every opportunity. Be careful if you decide to rent a scooter. The number of accidents involving tourists is very high, and the local tradition is that whatever the circumstances, the tourist is always at fault.
I like to go there from Germany but I hope to find someone else
now there are many big sidewalks in jakarta
I just returned from Bali. I have mixed feelings about it. Tourism is ruining the island. For instance, Canggu was a disappointment. It's being developed at an accelerated rate. Traffic is bad. There is a trash problem. I did like the locals. Ubud and Uluwatu were cool. 😎 I hope they put limits on tourism to save this beautiful island. 🏝
Every place ,every country want to be better ,with developing their place , unless u live in a jungle ,nobody will change it ,still jugle ,
Totally suggest looking at other areas of Indonesia! Sumatra is incredibly beautiful, amazing culture, food, scenery, rice fields. Where we live in Lake Toba is like Bali was 50 years ago. It's magical!
The local government has implemented tourist limitations by canceling VOA in over 100 countries. But the trash problem is still in Bali and all over Indo. Yeah we are suck 😔
or, you can try other region 😂 bcs indonesia has alot of more beautiful places.. more beautiful than bali in my opinions.. for me bali are just popular, but in terms of beautifulness, bali not the one

Love this! My first time in Asia was one week ago! I stayed in Singapore and it was amazing yet very expensive! I loved it though! Heading to Bali currently for first time . Excited ! Scared though about Bali Belly and Dengue but won’t stop me! Have a great time
I never got Bali belly thankfully Africa , Costa Rica and Thailand I got sick but the hospitality was fantastic they gave me magic meds

When I travel I take a probiotic every a.m. on an empty stomach, it seems to prevent problems. I usually carry two different ones and rotate them. I spend more for very good probiotics....it’s worth it if it helps prevents sickness bcuz time lost is money lost! Have fun Crosby it’s fun to follow your adventures!

When I had Bali Belly the pharmacist had me take 8 char coal tablets 3 times a day, for three days straight and it took care of it for me.
