I told my mom and dad to go see Graceland when they retired "you grew up in that era, go see", they don't travel, their first trip.. Graceland.. thoroughly enjoyed it. They have passed now, I'm glad they went👍🤠🇨🇦
Visiting Graceland is easy. I was there a few days ago. No crowds, easy parking in the provided lot. They have a website if you have questions. Very easy visiting. Best to come in the morning.
I traveled to Graceland in the early 90s and as I enter the gates and head up the drive I could feel Elvis’s presence I was drawn to the windows of his bedroom and there’s just a sense oh him watching all the people coming to see his beloved home and a feeling he’s happy
I felt his presence too. I feel drawn to go back time and again just to soak that up. I sit out on the front benches. The guide kept trying to get me to get back into the AC, but I said no. I don't care if its 95 degrees outside, I'm sitting here. lol.
: I love it all. I was in Graceland for the first time for my 80 th birthday. I talked to Big Jim. and listen to serious 19.I have been a huge fan since 1957. L love everything about Elvis and have a huge collection of memorabilia. Forever Elvis.
Ok so I've been to Graceland and it was incredible. But watching all of the 3 parts of these vids is wonderful. Now when I go back I'll know when I'm looking into those rooms what's really inside. Thank you for the time you taken to show us these little gems. I love Elvis. Too bad he was gone before I was born. I wish I could've experienced one of his concerts.
Those lipsticks are Avon samples they use to give for customers to try different colors before they bought the full size!! 😊 My grandma had a bunch of them on her vanity!! 💗
It's really nice that Elvis Presley became a star he did not forget what he came from he took care of mother grandmother great-grandmother and all the above he didn't leave anybody out
When I came back from Germany in 1990 after a 2 years being stationed there, I went to Graceland and took the tour. At that time Doger's room wasn't open to the public. It was so great to see it here. Thanks for this!
Wow I am absolutely loving this series. I am an Elvis fan since the age of ten. I fulfilled a life times dream and got to tour Graceland in September of this year. The hidden Graceland tour is a joy to watch. Thank you. Long live the King.
Loved those little Avon lipstick samples like my Mom had in the '60s... Her maternal grandmother of NC, "Minnie", we found is related to through E's mother Love. So awesome.
I was 13 when Elvis died, so for me to see the 1970's home style preserved is a pleasure, most of us don't live in luxury, but another video of Elvis's cook serving up his favourite banana and peanut butter fried sandwiches ... Miss Mary showed how to cook it and showed the house Elvis bought for her....that was cool.....
My husband and I went to Graceland in 1996. His horses were still alive there. We went straight down to Tupelo Mississippi afterwards , and seen the small house where he was born .
NYC girl I'm glad to read a comment where someone else is a fan of angie! I love her and I was hoping I'd run into her when I went to Memphis in June. I'm going back for Elvis Week and hope to get to meet her and get a picture with her!
I read somewhere that elvis had his dad vernon and grandma minnie mae and daughter lisa in his will. Its amazing that his grandma was in his will and she outlived both son and grandson.
This hit home for me. When my Grandma died, we went and collected things from her home. I have her dresser, her perfume mirror, vintage hair dryer, combs, and her monogrammed etched dish... filled with her buttons, safety pins, crucifix & Bobby pins. I even have her container of powder with application floof 🥰 I left it all intact too. Shows just how cherished she was. I often wonder who packed up all her things while everyone was in Germany with him. Did they lock up the home? Pay for someone to stay or did Billy Smith and his parents stay there to take care of all Glady's animals.
I visited Graceland in 97 Gladys‘s bedroom, I thought it was so beautiful. I love the deep purple color 💜 I want to go back & visit.. such a beautiful home & happy memories for the Presley family.
I visited Graceland a couple of years ago and loved it.have enjoyed these three videos.ive seen pictures of the house the lions sat in front of before Elvis bought them.was a very big and nice house in an affluent neighborhood

@14:30- now I understand that verse from the song "walking through Memphis" ..."there's a pretty young thing waiting for the king in the jungle room..." coolness !!!
I enjoy watching the videos. My mother, had one of the trays that she kept her perfumes on, the same as the one on the dresser. In one of the other videos I saw the furniture piece that was a record player inside and opened up on the top, my mother had one of those in our living room as well and there was a glass mirror wall.

That is exactly the same model trash compactor that is in our family home- originally my grandparents house since 1957. Now my mother lives in the house.
Same one we had; a Kenmore trash compactor and same colors at 12:16 , it sounded like a can opener when the knob was turned as the metal plate lowered to crush the trash. Special bags had to be bought just in case there was liquid or any spill and the trash to be taken out was much heavier than usual. After a while, we just used it as a trash "can" lol, to high maintenance.

Let the man have one part of his home private people. His bedroom was his escape from the pressures of living up to what we all put upon him. It should remain his and his alone. God bless him and respect his privacy and legacy.
Those aren't travel size lipsticks they're Avon samples. I immediately recognized them because the Avon lady came to our house regularly until my mother started selling Avon herself.I wonder when they stopped using them.
Oh my! I remember those lipsticks. They’re Avon promotional ones and my mom had every share when she sold Avon in the 1970’s. Lol! Boy, THAT dates me. They should still make those!
I visited Graceland the first easter after it opened, the easter of 83. I remember it was easter because only few people were there. So we could take our time and move around. It was very cool. My daughter wasn't yet two, so carried her most the time. And she was so good:) Had Elvis stayed around, Graceland would have had flat screens and who knows what by this time. But they have done very well at preserving Graceland exactly has it should be.
I totally understand and agree about the upstairs. Curiosity just eats away though! Loved going here. I think I was about 10 and my dad and I stayed at the heartbreak hotel. It was amazing!

I was there in 2008 and I felt the same as you. Spiritual connections.
Elvis Presley is all the time idol
6:20 I have a key similar to that, mine went to a bike lock though.
He was like a big kid thanks for sharing all of this I love it!!
Let the man have one part of his home private people. His bedroom was his escape from the pressures of living up to what we all put upon him. It should remain his and his alone. God bless him and respect his privacy and legacy.
He still is alive and stays up there when he heads home to visit. Lives in Cali the rest of the time.
I agree, it's just not right to make everything a show for him.
Agreed! Privacy!
Those aren't travel size lipsticks they're Avon samples. I immediately recognized them because the Avon lady came to our house regularly until my mother started selling Avon herself.I wonder when they stopped using them.
The buttons safety pins & lil gold scissors all reminds me of my mama & grma. As a kid I played in her button box
Oh my! I remember those lipsticks. They’re Avon promotional ones and my mom had every share when she sold Avon in the 1970’s. Lol! Boy, THAT dates me. They should still make those!
I LOVE the little Avon lipstick samplers!!
bellissimo museo , emozionante ,e da visitare....tutto con calma ..
I visited Graceland the first easter after it opened, the easter of 83. I remember it was easter because only few people were there. So we could take our time and move around. It was very cool. My daughter wasn't yet two, so carried her most the time. And she was so good:)
Had Elvis stayed around, Graceland would have had flat screens and who knows what by this time. But they have done very well at preserving Graceland exactly has it should be.
I was in Graceland in the 80's I'll be coming back!!
I love the Jungle Room with the St Francis statue. Elvis with animals is adorable 🥰
I totally understand and agree about the upstairs. Curiosity just eats away though! Loved going here. I think I was about 10 and my dad and I stayed at the heartbreak hotel. It was amazing!
