If anyone here has ever seen the Great American Bash from Los Angeles in 1987 then you would know it was the greatest wrestling I had ever seen and know I would and will never see the talent that I saw that night. Dusty Rhodes and the Road Warriors and Nikitia Koloff wrestling the four horsemen in a cage match it was beyond words I wish they had filmed it for show easily the greatest.
To believe Arn they did that match at 40 Different Shows that Summer. War Games had 8 of the Greatest Professional Wrestlers ever and I loved every minute of it.
The rock n roll express was so over at this time they had to have police and security escorts surrounding them to keep all the girls and women off them. I heard Dusty saw their popularity and basically joined them because he wanted some of that love too.
the ring psychology is so great here. big bad bully ole beating up little ricky morton used to inflame the fans to the point they would storm the ring sometimes. the stories about how the horsemen and R&R used to have after match fights from the ring to the locker room in order to get the horsemen out of there alive were eye opening. todays wrestling has nothing on how good it was during this time period.
It sucks because as good as Ricky & Robert were back in the day they or atleast Robert couldnt make it today in the Big Time mainly the E because he hardly ever talked, the same with Bobby Eaton,he never talked either
Paul Glandt -- It's kind of ridiculous to speculate, but I highly doubt it. Given the state of tag team wrestling in the WWE, the Rock N Roll Express would easily be top of the card. Also: Fans now more than ever value work rate, which Bobby and Robert excelled at. If Bobby was on his own, just give him Paul Heyman and he would be great. If Robert didn't have Ricky, he'd find a way since his ring psychology is impressive-- he doesn't get enough credit for it.
Great match, but Ole Anderson--RIP--couldn't wrestle worth a damn. He was a character, he may have had great insight into wrestling, and he may have been a great booker, but he really couldn't wrestle compared to anyone else in the ring.
The Japanese commercials were good. But from the wrestling, all I saw was a lot of indecipherable reversals and nothing else but constant punching and hair pulling. At least Dusty Rhodes power slamed a guy at one point. That was the high light of the whole thing. That and maybe Ric's "Wooo!" the entire rest of it was garbage.
Why have Japanese commentary on a match that was in the U.S.A.? That's kinda stupid. Hell your OUR COUNTRY SON. Least you can do is RESPECT it enough to call the match in English since after all, its in the U.S. of A Go figure.
Who ever disliked this didn't know what REAL wrestling was!

Dusty, Road warriors and Nikita beat Horsemen on everyone of those shows.
Great Match!!! I have the entire World Pro Wrestling TV Series from Japan in my Wrestling Collection!!!!
NWA cage matches were way better than WWF/E cage matches. Any match where the only way to win is running away is not a good match.
as I remember we saw this on free tv up here in western Canada. on the other channel, vince had hillbilly jim and outback jack.
The NWA was showing on World Wide Wrestling one of their Syndicated Shows back then.
Thanks for posting this classic!

...I wanna buy whatever these commercials are selling.
It’s Mr Sparkle
@@burtfurt1995
That's Misu-ter Sparukle.
Man this is awesome! Never knew these 6 got it on in a cage. I've seen the bunkhouse matches they've had but never the cage. GOOD STUFF!
great wrestling great match great times
wow.. Dusty allowed his high and mighty self to come to the ring using R & R music..
omg those japanese commercials are awsome
NWA cage matches were the best.
Having different wrestling territories > big companies.
You ain't kidding brother. It's a good thing that there's SOME competition again, but it's still nothing compared to the territories era.
(10/28/86) Rock Hill SC Winthrop Coliseum.. tv taping
Who knew Mid Atlantic Wrestling was aired in Japan.
Always said the Georgia an Mid Atlantic areas were the greatest ever!!!!
The crowd is awesome
Love RnR Express
Robert Gibson playing Ricky Morton in this match.
This is a cool match because it throw The world champion in the mix
Are we sure this is from 86? It makes sense with Ole being there as a Horseman but those blue tag belts were first used in 87, no?
Have you noticed that You hardly see any members of the 4 horsemen ever have their arm broken or banged up

These guys could sell like pros.
Horsemen always lost tag matches, cage matches and Wargames. And usually held on to the belts by losing by DQ.
AHN ANDASAN
Who is here after cody vs wardlow steel cage match
I wish this had the JCP Announcers.............
Why the hell is this in a foreign language? lol
WTH Ref, there are no rules in a steel cage match

Old school is always better
Rhoades up to his dirty tricks again.

WWE SUCKS
Eaton is a better worker than 98% of wwe awful roster
Rock n Roll and Midnights are better than any wwe tag team today
NWA RULES
At least Schiavone or Caudle. I do not miss David Crockett.
You know this is BS. dusty in a steel cage match and no blood
Great match, but Ole Anderson--RIP--couldn't wrestle worth a damn. He was a character, he may have had great insight into wrestling, and he may have been a great booker, but he really couldn't wrestle compared to anyone else in the ring.
Rhodes pinned Ole Anderson

It’s a lot of psychology
Why are they speaking Spanish?
It's Japanese.
