    No Physician in Vermont does under eye surgery w/Co2 laser and PRP. My Doctor told me I wasn't a good candidate due to my thin crepey skin. She said once the bags she were removed I wouldn't be happy with the result and I agreed. I believe factoring in the other two components would be a game changer. Might be worth the drive to NY!

      Hi Jessie Kaufman,
      Yes, lower eyelid skin quality is important, as well as leaving a little fat during surgery to prevent a hollow appearance. Lower eyelid surgery is an art in leaving a little fat for a nice contour under the eyes. I hope to see you sometime soon!

    Hello Dr Prada’s, I wish I had this knowledge from you before I got my procedure. How long does it take for your eyes to know that you have under round eyes or surgery went wrong after surgery?

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  3 дні тому +1

      Hi @LovelyGermanShepherd-dn2vr,
      After post-operative swelling resolves, issues like rounded lower eyelids can be more noticeable. Rounding of the lower eyelids is usually due to a skin shortage, and compromising of support structures like the muscle, skin, and tendons, so if a skin incision, and skin removal were done in your surgery, you're at higher risk for rounding of the lower eyelids. If no skin was removed, and the incision was made behind the skin, rounding can be avoided. I hope this clarifies things for you.

      @, dear doctor Prasad, thank you for responded my question. the doctor who had done on my lower eyes claim the skin had removed, after I watch your video, I hope he did not cut any skin off. I hope he just done the incision outside for his own convinced., because I got a mark under my eye seem does not move at all. I’m praying for myself now. If swelling goes down and you don’t see any round eyes, can the round eyes happen in a future? If it possible to happen in a future? Anything prevent it to happen? Do I need to come in in person with you for consultation? I don’t mind if I have to pay ? Very much appreciate for your time

      Sorry, but there is a high risk of rounded lower eyelids if skin was removed. You can refer to this video about it - ua-cam.com/video/wT9mSBvAlno/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
      Consultations are best done in person, but we do have virtual consultations on FaceTime or Zoom, both with a consultation fee that can be fully applied to the cost of treatment. However, as you are still early in your surgical healing, it is best to give some time before your results are evaluated. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  2 дні тому

      Hi@@LovelyGermanShepherd-dn2vr,
      With a skin shortage, rounding can happen earlier. It can also happen later with a skin shortage, and weakened lower eyelid support structures, which include compromised skin, and the muscle since it was also cut through, combined with normal aging where anatomic structures in the eye area also get weaker. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  9 місяців тому +1

      Hi @kikilala365,
      While I don't use Accutite in my practice, it is impossible to treat prolapsed orbital fat in the lower eyelid with a non-invasive treatment. Even filler to camouflage eye bags requires penetrating the skin barrier with a needle or cannula. Prolapsed orbital fat can be sculpted with a laser, but it's still surgery. It isn't possible to heat prolapsed orbital fat non-surgically and safely, without harming the thin eyelid skin, or the risks of imprecise treatment of prolapsed orbital fat. You can refer to this video about why non-surgical skin treatments can't treat eye bags - ua-cam.com/video/cU0B9-IahGk/v-deo.html

    Hi. I always had some very very mild malar bags genetically! The past five months i was very stressed.Before that i used to sleep 8-9 hours every night, but when my stress started i was sleeping hardly 6 hours(or less),7 if i was super lucky.I noticed that my malar bags are more prominent now. I don't smoke,I don't drink alcohol, i use 50 SPF every few hours, i exercise a lot , i drink a lot of water and i eat healthy.So the only thing that changed was stress and sleeping pattern.I am only 21 years old.The rest of my face doesn't have any wrinkles or anything.So did my malar bags got worse FOREVER? Or is this reversible if i sleep 9 hours again and stop being stressed?! Btw these 5 months i used 0.05% tretinoin , could this also be the reason my malar bags are a little more prominent? Because the one side (where i used to apply tretinoin to more parts due to acne) is worse than the other... So yeah i am wondering if this is forever or if it just some irritation/tiredness that can go back to normal.

    Hello Doctor,
    First of all, I'm so sick of dermatologists and plastic surgeons in my country, who don't even know what they're doing. And secondly, I have a question since no doctor would answer me.
    I'm 26. My nasojugal grooves are suddenly more prominent or I'd say they weren't there before December and became visible overnight and previously i took them as malar edema. My skin being dry + winter + doxycycline + caffeine intake + stress and sleep deprivation during that time was severe. Now I don't know if that's just dehydration making it visible (stopped everything and winter's gone too here in Pakistan)
    But it's not going. I just want to know if that's the case of fat loss, making nasojugal grooves visible, and if that is, how's that even possible. Please tell me that's just dehydration. But I've been doing everything right since then.
    Kindly reply, I'd very much appreciate it. Wish i could get to you in person.

      Hi Mariah,
      Nasojugal grooves are usually due to soft tissue, and bone loss due to aging, but since you're only 26, you shouldn't be having this issue. Dry skin alone shouldn't be the cause. I would have to examine your face in consultation for a definitive diagnosis of this issue. I hope this helps you.

      It depends on if follicles are weakened by tension from tight hairstyles or pulling, which may be injured if the tension was constant; or if they are miniaturized from pattern hair loss. If extent of damage of tension is not so severe, they may still recover on its own; but miniaturizing hair follicles due to pattern hair loss does need treatment for thicker hair growth. Hi Hayuri Love,
      You're still very early in your healing process, so swelling should be expected. If you are using antibiotic ointment, you shouldn't as it can cause an allergic reaction if used too long. You can follow up with your surgeon to monitor your healing process. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    * It is okay to lose 20 - 30 hair a day in 20s ?

      Hi Ashmit Khalkho,
      You aren't losing 20-30 hairs a day. It is normal to shed 50-100 hairs a day, and they do grow back. Pattern hair loss happens when the shed hair grows back thinner, and there is a delay in regrowth. Male pattern hair loss is progressive hair thinning, not hair shedding. I hope this clarifies things for you.
