Awesome brou. I had no idea the latest would be a Typhon. I figured it would be a senton. Thanks for the heads up. Can't wait to hear you 2¢ worth on the new truck. Have Fun
May I please have your recommendation. Own: xrt ultimate and sledge. Absolutely love my xrt. But the belted tires don’t let me flip well. Decided on Xmax for my next RC. There is the regular Xmax, the new release that has a few more mods and the belted tires, and the Xmax ultimate. Which do you recommend for skatepark bashing? Thanks
I'd go with the regular X-Max and then upgrade yourself. I have a video about buying or building in X-Max. I detail my recommendations in there. The stock X-Max tires will probably be better for stunts than the belted ones but aftermarket tire is like the MX43 badlands or the trenchers would be better though they are both quite a bit heavier and harder on your drivetrain. The MX57s might be a good choice as they're a little bit lighter.
Love the Granite grom I’m so glad They are expanding the grom series ! Such fun little Beast ! Especially how easy they are to work on I already have two pairs of upgraded diffs 😂 I may just keep this one stock and enjoy It for what it is lol I put the granite grom through some crazy skate park bash sessions 😂
I wonder if this will also only be available in LHS first before available for online purchase. My LHS doesn’t get stuff like this unfortunately. Still waiting on my Granite Grom to show up
If the arms are longer on this Typhon, then just like the 3s lineup you can put them on the Granite Grom and give it a wider stance! You could also put the Granite Groms wheels on the Typhon Grom and make it truggified!! Sounds like I’m gonna need both of these little cars now!
@DoRC I like the idea of the Smart battery, it's good for new people or kids. But I take very good care of my batteries and love using my Gens Ace charger.
they need to fix the diffs. i was incredibly disappointed to find plastic components that fail easily in the grom diffs, hope this model addresses it. i was looking at a typhon 3s but a small buggy would be cool
Oh I'm sure it's real. The LCG chassis was on their site for short period of time so we know they're going to come out with other models and this would be too much work to make for a meme.
To some degree yes but also a lot of their vehicles are just clones of the LC racing platform. The groms are more expensive for what you get but they're also really good quality
I just wish all of the Chinese companies would take just that couple steps further to really win the small scale basher market. Really just to fix a couple design flaws and add hex screws to the hbx platform and it’s perfect.
If it's brushed, this needs to be no more than a hundred or it's a hard pass. I love these little cars but Arrma seems to be overpricing them slightly. It's a shame because the build quality is decent on the Granite Grom, but it's too underpowered imo. Edit: I'd be ALL OVER a brushless Outcast or Kraton Grom!
I think it is a bit of a premium but compared to a lot of the other small cars on the market it's a bit of a premium product too. It would be nice to see it come brushless from the factory and I expect an EXB version to come out eventually
@@DoRC in that case is a no go to me. Plenty of options available for brushless rtr 1/14 buggies and probably most of them cheaper than what arrma is gonna ask for the mini typhoon.

But the spectrum chargers are literally the best lol. Maybe not the little one boxed in but the other ones? This isn't 2016 and we aren't mad scientists lol. Just give me a battery and charger that work the first time, every time. And spectrum gives us that. 🤷♂️🤔
Maybe. I don't really have much experience with the larger chargers but I personally like to be able to control it myself. I don't like any of the little chargers though because they give you no information about the battery and being able to track internal resistance is critical for understanding battery health.
@DoRC I hear you! The bigger ones do do all that stuff, and then some. You can charge any battery with them, but they work more seamlessly with the smart batteries. I have the S1200, the older model of smart charger and I freaking love it! I wouldn't pay full retail.....spectrum is kind of the Apple of the RC world (traxxas be dammed lol) but if you can scoop one up at a discount I'd say it's totally worth it! 💪
In my experience they work pretty well with the stock power system. It's kind of hard to blame their design if it doesn't hold up to upgraded power especially since they offer upgraded differentials.
Another truck from Arma that you have to spend double the amount of the truck on upgrades for it to live up to my expectations. I can't even get upgrades for my grom everything is on backorder trucks been sitting on my shelf for a month. Welcome to the reality of Arma trucks and Horizon Hobby stinks.
I think it depends on what your expectations are. So many people upgrade these vehicles, myself included, that I think The upgraded version becomes the expectation when really the car was not designed from the factory to do what we try to make it do. It's designed to be a small fun minimum area basher not a crazy back flipping speed demon. In its stock form it's pretty durable and for what it is quite a bit of fun.
Been bashing for 20 years. My trucks look like dots in the sky when I jump them. Safe to say my expectations need to be high. The Arma grom out of the box is suitable for a 12 year old kid in a park nothing more.
@Schmidt3850 I've been bashing for about the same amount of time but I still enjoy these little cars. It's great launching a car 30 ft in the air but you can't do that in a small parking lot, at a park, in a little area you find on the side of the road etc. That's what these are great for. You can just throw them in your truck and take one out wherever and mess with it.
I bought 3 Groms as gifts. This looks to have me covered for next Christmas too.
Definitely make good Christmas presents.
I was really excited at the idea of a Senton, but this looks like the start of the full lineup! I'll definitely check it out
Same here. I bet this will be pretty fun!
Filmed a little video on it. The listing was nearby so I had to pick it up!
He really got it. Confirmed on his video!
Nice!
I knew it would come out!!!!!! This is perfect i can use my Granite grom for bashing and the Typhon grom for racing!!!
Sounds reasonable :-)
Great work! Love the channel.
Thanks Glad you enjoyed :-)
This is really cool!
Definitely!
You always have the scoop first!! THX for the update I can't wait.
I try to get the information to you guys as soon as I see it!
Now this I will buy !
Me too!
Definitely want one of these. 😊
Me too!
Can't wait tell they do a grom kraton
Heck yeah. I want to turn this into a monster Grom
I would lose my mind lol
This is very cool, I’d love to see a grom version of the felony/infraction as well.
I'm sure they'll do it.
YESSSS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THEM TO EXTEND THE GROM LINE UP, LOVE MY GRANITE GROMS
Yeah I'm excited to get this!
Just picked up a v5s 6s like a month ago if that now this is perfect to finish the Typhon collection I have
Should be pretty fun :-)
Awesome brou. I had no idea the latest would be a Typhon. I figured it would be a senton. Thanks for the heads up. Can't wait to hear you 2¢ worth on the new truck.

Yeah I figured it would be something like a Creighton but this is cool!
Very cool. Interesting Grom. Would love to see more from this platform. A Senton and Kraton as well.
I bet at least one of those it's coming :-)
Yeah, that would be awesome!
Pretty cool. Guess I'll have a grom collection also.
Same :-)
dang it, I didn't need to see this. I bought the Granite Grom and my friend loves the Typhon regular scale. Looks like I found his birthday gift!
Nice!
Oh wow another one. This is definitely going to sell👏👍
Agreed!
Love the treal hobby upgrades u can get
Yeah there are definitely a lot of sweet upgrades you can get for these!
May I please have your recommendation.

@joemomma707 Sweet let me have any questions!
Yep can confirm getting one in about 1 hour.
That's cool! Can you get me one?
It’s been an hour buddy do you have one yet?
@@RcSpeedFreak-kk8wjanother dude in the comments really got one lol

I knew it!
I knew there was going to be more!
Yeah it was pretty much guaranteed after seeing the accidental release of the long wheelbase chassis
Cant wait!
Me either :-)
Damn, my wallet is crying with all the leaks and releases this year😂
Yeah they definitely been making up for lost time.
I wonder if this will also only be available in LHS first before available for online purchase. My LHS doesn’t get stuff like this unfortunately. Still waiting on my Granite Grom to show up
Not sure. I don't know if that was a Christmas deal or if they're planning on doing that with all of the groms.

Cool a Grom lineup 😮
Yep!
@@DoRC do you think they’ll do a grom kraton that would be awesome
That would be cool tho I don’t think so as these are all 3s cars
I agree. I would like the option to choose my own battery.
Yeah I mean fortunately you can run your own battery I just wish it was a standard one included
@DoRC I like the idea of the Smart battery, it's good for new people or kids. But I take very good care of my batteries and love using my Gens Ace charger.
I will wait for brushless version with all metal diff :)
I'm sure they'll come up with an EXB version eventually
I already want one!!
Me too :-)
@@DoRC I hope it's going to be the same price as the Granit Grom.
What happened to the brushless grom. ? On the side of the grom mt. Box
I don't remember seeing that.
Maybe thinking of the brushless FMS FMT24 option on the brushed FMT24 box?
I’m getting whichever comes first - brushless Granite Grom or FMT24
When will well see this in Canada?
No idea. I have no association with horizon hobby so I don't get any inside knowledge.
Ya the stock charger sux. I need one of these!
I'm definitely not a fan

Did you have differential troubles on the stock motor?
@@DoRC yeah… just completely lost all power from the inner gears being gone.
We need a senton grom aswell
That would be cool
If this if real I’m getting one
Oh I'm sure it's real. The LCG chassis was on their site for short period of time so we know they're going to come out with other models and this would be too much work to make for a meme.
1/7 buggie would cooler ,like the team corally stuff.
Maybe someday :-)
I want a Mojave grom 😂
That would be sweet!
This would be a cheaper Typhoon?
Technically but it's also very small
Think MJX and Rlaarlo are killing the smaller market right now. Making better and faster products.
To some degree yes but also a lot of their vehicles are just clones of the LC racing platform. The groms are more expensive for what you get but they're also really good quality

If it is at least a 1\14 and 3s brushless we have a winner (under 200eur)
I think it'll be about 1:14th scale but it's going to be brushed.
@@DoRC in that case is a no go to me. Plenty of options available for brushless rtr 1/14 buggies and probably most of them cheaper than what arrma is gonna ask for the mini typhoon.

I’ve been on stock power on two of these groms and I’ve blown through 6 diffs. Front and rear. It’s a design flaw.
