I don't think I realized how big the Smart Dolls are. Now the price point makes a great deal more sense. Oh my stars, that t-shirt is perfect LOL. Wow, the end result is incredible. I love the yarn wig and that outfit is just amazing.
I'm a Silkstone collector - especially the 60s era designs. You did an incredible job matching the look and feel of this doll! (oh, the thing around her neck is actually a fountain pen - I have seen them in real life - they are usually shorter than a typical pen and the pen screws into the cap with has the bail for the chain, so that the nib is upright and it wouldn't leak - a VERY 60s accessory for an "office gal). I really enjoyed your whole process and the result!
That is such a clever idea I like it and I love all the channels that's kind of cool to see all you guys together doing something this is a good community for people to join
Haha! I always thought her pendant is a pen. I'm pretty sure that's what it is! She looks wonderful, and such a perfect fit! Loved seeing the whole process - very inspiring!!! Excellent job!!!
Wow!! I’m absolutely blown awayyyy!!! This is amazinggg!!! Your attention to detail inspires me so much!!! You always motivate me to step my game up !! From your detailed sewing to your ability to replicate her from head to toe, I’m just speechless!! 😭💕 Also like the stockings were a masterclass on its own!! I’m definitely trying that !! Wow!! And those accessories were superb!! It’s been an absolute pleasure working with you Beth!! You inspire us so much!! 💖✨
Awww Joe! Thank you so so much, you are too kind! I still wish I'd risked machine stitching those stockings..next time for sure though. You've been a delight!! I'm still blown away by all your hard work, can't wait to see what's next ^_^
Thank you so much! Unfortunately they wouldn’t fit the other way round, you have to pinch in quite a bit to get Blythe to fit smart doll, but it could come in handy! 😊
Beth, such an incredible and beautiful piece!l I really enjoyed learning more about the importance of the doll you chose and what she represents. The glue stick technique is brilliant! Plus the double sided mesh…. I’ve learned so much! Your wig and shoes are insane! You’ve inspired me so much to keep making shoes because yours are next level amazing. This entire build looks identical to the original!!! It was lovely working with you. You’re so talented! I hope to be able to do more projects together in the future!
It has been an absolute pleasure working with you all, thank you so much, you pushed me to find more meaning in my own project (in a good way!) and I’m so happy with how our whole collab went 😊 I’ll always be up for a video chat about making shoes 👠👠 😉
Wow💕 Beth this is such an amazing collaboration 💕 I love everyone’s designs. Thank you so much for sharing your creative process, I think you ‘nailed it’❤️. All the colours compliment each other and the jewellery is beautiful. Very clever idea to use the felting yarn to create a wig. She looks absolutely fabulous and ready to take on the office politics ❤️ The ‘Smarties’ t-shirt from Sandee is awesome ❤️ I really enjoyed & love your videos, can’t wait for the next one 🥰
This is so much fun. I love the look. You did a great job. Barbie wasn't a big part of my childhood but I always appriciate some of the looks. I Love this collab. It's a lot of fun to watch. (:
Wow!!! Great job!!!! Tights are always hard. Try using nude thread and once you get it straight take black embroidery thread to make the straight lines. But still Awesome job!!!!
Oh my gosh, this is the greatest collab ever! I stumbled onto another video in the series this morning and now the algorithm has suggested this one, with my favorite character in MadMen!!!!! Aaaaaaah!!! Considering you didn’t have the doll in front of you for reference, this is pretty spot on! Mine is in storage, but she looks so great! I love Barbies and I just ordered my first Smartdolls… too bad I missed the boat on this collab, I would have loved to participate. 😍
Oh I’m so happy you found us! 🤩 Ahhh you have a Joan Barbie!? Nice!! I really appreciate that thank you, this was a super fun collab to be a part of, especially in the way it brought together Barbie and Smart Doll. Hope you’ll stick around for more 😉 Thanks again!
