What's really annoying about this is how you have overly sensitive activists who really shouldn't be in this space, projecting their own racism onto others. Like you said, when I play RE5 I just look at them as being zombies. It makes more sense to have it set there than anywhere else, really (knowing how governments and evil corporations can be). I was actually annoyed at the other races of people they stuck in there after the first outcry.
This is something that has been a big issue since these clowns got a voice. They demand more representation, but they don't want anything bad to happen to the characters, even though it's fine to mow down Spanish zombies in 4.
These people are nuts and I wish devs and publishers would stop listening to them.

Honestly they probably could because these video game companies seem to listen to the journalists more than us which is why it's important to voice our displeasure to this crap.
Bro unfortunately they do have a lot of power, IGN is the most mainstream gaming media, so a lot of developers seems to listen to them more than their own fans. For example they complained about Ashley skirt and in the residente evil 4 remake they removed that. Thats why we gotta fight back against this crap, because it does have real consequences on the games we love.
@@Gusr404I don’t think they have that much power. Capcom likely changed Ashley’s design because they wanted to, not because IGN moaned about it.
Besides, if 5 gets remade it will still be in Africa and still have black enemies, so there’s not really any way around that

It’s been pointed out when RE5 came out that IGN gave it a high score I can’t remember what it was but probably a 8 or 9 out of 10 and I believe they got community noted lol. These people my word. All they see is race, not people.

It's more than ironic that IGNs' accusations of racism were and are, in fact racist.
Their description of Africa, an entire continent, as a nation of savages, when the game is set in what is essentially one small village in one fictional part of one African country, is racist in Rome and fact.
RE4 remake’s gameplay with coop, sounds like a fantastic time. RE5’s setting and characters were cool. Do it!

Well, 4 sold out quite well, so I doubt 5 doesn’t cone out as well. Sure Code Veronica would be my pick too, but I’ll be playing whichever remake comes out. Let’s see how it goes 😎
Capcom learned the hard way when they cut content from RE3, and when they saw the criticism of the disjointed story of RE6. They care about fan’s opinion of their games. They should do what Nintendo did to Kotaku and black list them from any special developments or interviews until IGN apologizes for their poop takes.

A re5 remake could really flesh out sheva's character and maybe even bring her character back into the story. She disappeared after re5 so maybe we could get her back.

Agree with everything here except RE3 Remake.
The game was not perfect but i really wonder. Was it due to the developers or the publisher.
Re3 was developed at a time when capcom was financially struggling. Re2 wqs developed by a different team that had a reasonable amount of development time. I think re3 was a great game for what it was but the biggest criticism was how short it was. I've read that the the developers decided to prioritise a bug free shorter more robust game over a larger buggy game. The more features you add, the more things you have to bug fix which takes time. They also had a smaller budget.
It wasn't until the success of re2 launch that capcom seen how financially successful it was.
There is a good chance the re3 team will be responsible for re5 and this time i think they'll have more time to make it

Ngl its funny. As a white guy they'd hate it that RE 5 is my favorite RE. What can I say, I'm a sucker for the Chris and Wesker conclusion. They just hate that I enjoy the RE game with the most black people I guess.
