I've been wondering how to dispel all that pressure! Like an idiot, i was deconstructing and rebuilding the furnace each time I needed to use it because I couldn't figure out the passive vent. Didn't know it needed the valve.
Yeah, floating structure thingies is a bit weird for a game that tries to be science-accurate, my guess is that enforcing structural integrity would require substantial re-writing the base code.
yeah... it's called the Widowmaker for a reason ;) I think there have been some updates since I made this vid that remove the over-pressure protection that pipes had when they were partially in a fully welded frame
@@54bear A lot of reloaded saves, valves, active vents and cowls later, I finally managed to come up with a configuration that doesn't immediately overpressure and atomise half of my base, now to isolate and store those gasses
I was unaware that the furnace trick still worked in any capcity, thanks for the great information.
Well done! Thank you for the content. It was a great refresher after a long break.
Glad it was helpful!

it bothers me that the Widowmaker floats in the air

I tried to use this and it immediately exploded, destroying half my base in the process
