@ Yes, I have checked them out. They're very good, and are still on my short list of bands I listen to. My favorite band is still Bloodywood, though.:)
Bloodywood go so hard. Positive, proactive lyrics, absolutely monster riffs, good god I love them. Now all we need is an Electric Callboy collab with Bloodywood and the circle will be complete.
Thats always been her best trait and the reason Koba wanted to make Babymetal. She doesn't have the most dramatic voice but she has incredible precision and clarity.

There is reference to Dragon Ball and flute in one song! It's pure satisfaction. :) I hope I convice you to at least give it a try it in your spare time. Merry Christmas Elizabeth!
Jayant has one of those voices you can easily identify with just a 10 second clip. Plus my girls absolutely love this song, it’s played almost everyday since released.
She has done a podcast with Tank the Tech before and Tank the Tech had also interviewed Bloodywood before, so if she needs a someone to help make the connection, he could do it.
I have been playing this non-stop in repeat. It's so heavy yet not suffocating. We get to breathe and then brought back to the fight re-energized at full force. It's challenging and reassuring. It's too much but not enough. Since release I can't get enough. I need more. Bloodyhood is one of my dream concert to watch and Babymetal I recently was blessed to see live, but couldn't have dreamed this collab. AGAIN it's so perfect. Whoever Babymetal gets together will fit perfectly. Electric Callboy was so wild. When i read the title i was genuinely scared. And after 3 listens of hesitation i was hooked. It works. And now, same thing. It works. As you said, Su just cuts trough whatever is happening. So sharp, so clean, so precise and so inspiring. I don't speak japanese but always feel inspired. Her vocals are simply universal. Message will be received no matter language barrier.
I love how giggly with excitement you were at the beginning of the song. Then as you were listening to the first verse the second time you were pogoing in your chair. You've come so far down the metal road from where you began in the beginning of the channel. You are so one of us now.
What trips me out is just how much Bloodywood is into gaming and pop culture, there's references to both in nearly all of their work. Also, Samurai Ganesh... THAT is the Final Form for all six of the bandmembers.
This is like the best colaboration I've ever heard. It perfectly combined what both bands do and each member shined and nobody was pushed to the background.
Props to animation team, an indian animation studio "Goppo animation", they did the job so well on first watch i thought it was done by some top notch japanese manga artists!
Momo first blessed us with her growls in her version of Headbanger "Momobanger", for her birthday celebration. Since then, she is BabyMetal's resident growler, as well as being little sister. Moa is the quintessential perfectionist dancer, backed by squeals, smiles, giggles and fierce Loki-style energy. She is the pranking middle sister. Su is the Queen bee, of course, with nothing else needing to be said! She is big sister.
@ I believe you are right and I am wrong. I thought they were flipped in release compared to live performance. Just to clarify, Momo can growl! It doesn’t really matter which performance came first.
So who had Samurai Ganesha on their bingo card for 2024? I loved the Harry Potter, DBZ, and Batman references... and that suspiciously looks like a Naruto run....I can't wait to see this live on stage with both Bloodywood and Babymetal... hope it doesn't take as long as Kingslayer did to see a live version😅😅😅 At this point I want a Babymetal anime and an action rpg with this song in a boss battle..😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘
Take a bowl of metal filings, add a spoonful of sugar and a generous amount of spice, then leave it in Kobametal's oven for a few months. The result? A lovely, fresh 'Bekhauf.' Or am I confusing it with Bake-Off? Either way, it's absolutely delicious, and best served LOUD!
I'm pretty sure my husband thought I was listening to the intro for an action packed anime centered around baking on repeat. I'm between shows rn and it was one of those moments he was trying to get me back down to earth during a hyperfixation/project (coincidentally , baking a cake for my and my kid's birthday) moment by making small talk. He wanted to know what the "Bake Off" song was about, specifically, what show it's from as it was the only part of the lyrics I was singing out loud. 😂 He's rather justified in his assumption as I will almost always begin investing in new experiences or hobbies around a new show if I'm that into it. 😂😂
As a total weeb I just wanna say how great this song is at getting that shounen anime vibe. Obviously there's a lot of common shounen anime themes present in the lyrics (overcoming fear, surpassing your own limits etc.), but the construction of the song is also just very reminiscent of a classic big shounen battle: Start out intense as your good guys charge in against the big bad, then keep that intensity and lift the mood as the allies arrive for back up, which is done with those cutting clear vocals. Then we have a drop in energy as the big bad throws his right hand man out to face the protagonists, matched by the switch to the 'trap' section into the slightly slower rap verse (this is a very common technique in anime fights, to have these calmer moments to allow the audience to process the intensity they've just seen before they dive back in). Then you get the super heavy bridge section, which has the big bad using his ultimate powers against the goodies, and despite their mettle and determination, they are heavily wounded by the assault. The heavy part ends and we enter the quieter, slightly melancholic section, as it seems all hope is lost, before once again, those clean vocals come in, representing that classic shounen moment where the mc digs deep and finds that last ounce of strength, bolstered by their allies. And finally we head into the elevated chorus, as the protagonist 'goes even further beyond', and powers up to fight one last time against the force of evil. Smashing stuff. It is a testament to Bloodywood & BABYMETAL's songwriting/performing capabilities to pull that off so well, as well as an excellent example of how many of the ideas behind great art are transferable across mediums.
I was so excited to see your analysis for this amazing collab! I have been fortunate enough to see Bloodywood in concert, when he introduced himself, Jayant pronounced his name more like "jaunt," but my hearing could have been off from the opening act. 😅😂 Jayant is such a talented singer! I recommend checking out Aaj and especially Gaddaar to see more intense Indian singing and his range overall.
I had to go watch the video, I didn't know this existed til you popped into my recommended. It's definitely the most unique thing I've listened to, and I own the complete Aaron Waters collection...
Listening to bloodywood live is such a treat. !! they sound as energetic as in studio records!! they have already performed this song live and few other new songs in India presently. \m/
I heard them in Bandlands where they opened with this, and then followed with Nu Delhi I think. It's absolutely insane how good Jayant sounds live as well. Off the charts energy!
Babymetal works so well with singers who growl and scream; F Hero, Ollie from BMTH, Kevin from EC, Jhayant... It's like thunder and lightning, with the men providing the storm for Su to cut through and contrast with her clear, light but strong vocals. The contrast is powerful and wonderful.
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 In 2019, BABYMETAL released a captivating song entitled "Shanti Shanti Shanti. BABYMETAL took a risk of being called "fake" or "cheap copy" of Indian music whereas they simply wanted to create their own metal music with comfortable Indian vibes paying their due respect to the culture. Team BABYMETAL must have made diligent efforts to analyze, study and understand music and dance moves in Indian style. "Shanti Shanti Shanti" turned out to be a song accepted by fans with Indian background in a favorable way. Then their efforts have ended up with this “genuine collaboration” and BABYMETAL is now officially endorsed and acknowledged by the new Indian music pioneers. This proves BM’s righteousness about what they have been relentlessly pursuing, diversity. I am now looking forward to what these two bands will look like on the same stage with choreo. Further, I am already pondering over “what’s next?”
Bloodywood - Machi Bhasad is something I would love to see you cover. It's such a great blend of traditional music and metal. The composition is just so great too.
Karan dropped a production breakdown for this song a couple of days ago - check it out if you haven't, because he actually explains in there where the 'major' note comes from. He also says that Jayant taught Babymetal how to pronounce the Hindi lyrics correctly by sending them a voice note of him singing those parts very slowly and clearly so they could hear the pronunciation.
My favorite Babymetal song is Metali, which i totally recommend! It’s so fun to watch babymetal play with Tom Morello, and it’s cool putting his guitarwork in with their music!
No metalhead here. However I really like this song and it makes me happy to see how people from different countries all over the world just enjoy and appreciate this masterpiece, although they are not even into metal. Merry christmas to all of you!
Loved it! Happy Birthday Queen Su! its Momo-metal that does the harsh vocals. As you said the clean & dirty mix so well together. Love BM singing in Hindi at the end. BTW love the hair colours. For another exotic BM's Indian inspired song 'Shant shanti shanti' would be a good choice
I became obsessed with song immediately when I first heard it! I want this utilized in an anime eventually!!! I'm loving the growing trend of metal being nerdy! 😊
I found Bloodywood about 18 months ago and Babymetal about 10 months ago. Love that they came together. Great video and fun song to listen to. My suggestion to you for Babymetal is "From Dusk til Dawn". Love that song.
When I heard how amazing this video was, I listened to the song by itself so I could appreciate it. It is a very good song by itself, but this video is amazing! It was created by an Indian animation studio. All of the iconography is amazing, along with the lyrics. Shogun Ganesha FOREVER!!!
Did you notice that Su sang a few lines in Hindi? That's typical for her, always taking that extra step. She did the same thing in Thai for the song "Leave At All Behind" with F.Hero and Bodyslam. It's Momoko who started to do some growling in BABYMETAL. I don't think we have heard anything that she did it for this song, so I'm assuming she didn't.
Would like to see you react to their song "Aaj". Jayant really shows his vocal range in that one and the lyrics and energy of the song are all the therapy I need.
Hi Elizabeth! I really hope you give us more Bloodywood on your channel. I think you'd be pretty amazed by a couple of other songs that include Jayant's clean, & even soft, vocals. If you only do 1 other song from them, it has to be Yaad! But definitely check out Zanjeero Se in your own time (no mv 😥) because Jayant sings so soft, I'd call it whispery. Chills!!
So as I have been watching, I love the old metal that you have been doing. I wanted to make a suggestion and maybe you did it I don't know, but the song, "WILD SIDE" by motley crew is one of my faves and it is very energetic and has a lot of cool rifs and the drum solo i think you will find to be one of the most unbelievable solos ever. This is the song that I used to get ready to go to play a football game or a hockey game or working out, just gets ya over the top. Vince Neal has a very unique voice. Thanks for the time and energy you put into these videos it is special. My daughter is actually a music fan and has been teaching herself the guitar and in another year may be going to college to learn more music so we will see. Thanks and have fun.
An absolutely incredible piece. Beautifully done. It's mostly nonsense that I'm wasting my time saying here, because there are NO WORDS that can do this song justice.
Hey Elizabeth you should totally check out Primus !!! Les Claypool and a wizard on his fretless bass and Larry Lalonde and Tim are great too but together they make music quite like you’ve never heard .My recommendation is Tommy the Cat or Jerry was a race car driver …. or BOTH !!!! But if you do dive down the Primus cheese hole you should find many more

Getting to see Bloodywood in february in Stockholm! ❤❤❤ cant wait! Speaking of Sweden, I'd love an analysis of Chris Adams from Smash Into Pieces. While my favourite is Sleepwalking, "Flow" is probably a better pick to analyze. Theyre underrated and fly under the radar a lot but are hard working and amazing. He also has a quite special voice that i have so many questions about.... 😅
I love watching you. Your joy rubs off on me, so thank you for that. Are you going to do Christmas songs? I vote for Pentatonix’ newest version of O Holy Night. Please, oh please 😆
Such a fantastic collaboration. Thank you for the analysis. I don't think you've covered any of the songs that Jayant does cleans in, but he has a beautiful clean voice as well. "Yaad" is one that comes to mind. Also, their previous single "Nu Delhi" has some cleaner vocals.
I've never rated Babymetal's solo stuff; they're just not for me, but as a lifelong metalhead I bloody love their collabs - they're so good at joining bands and making the most out of both bands sounds and styles. I've never seen an act that's as good at collaborating before.
Samurai Ganesh is the best image symbolizing today's metal this year. I would like to point out something that doesn't get mentioned, which is how Babymetal both elevates a song with their joy of music and allows the collaborating artist to go harder, yet at the same time they don't overpower the other artists. They are brilliant collaborators. (and it's Momo who does the harsh vocals, not Moa. Moa has the warm tone you heard in Monochrome)
I appreciate your reaction and analysis video, and I'm glad it popped up. Because somehow I had not yet heard of this collaboration.👍 And I don't know how much you've listened to Baby Metal, but at 12:24 in the video. The name of the song is Pa Pa Ya, not papaya (the fruit). 😊
I watch Elizabeth's reactions to songs I've never heard, then go listen to them, having received a detailed breakdown of everything I'm listening for in the song. Highly recommend it.
That was badass. I'm going to have to listen to more Bloodywood. If your still looking for something to break down I would like to suggest Eluveitie - A Rose for Epona.
I’ve watched almost everything in your metal reactions playlist, and I have to say it’s missing some black metal! :D Maybe a classic like 'Freezing Moon' by Mayhem?
Can't wait for this premier!! Not sure if they are already on your radar, but Dark Sarah is a phenomenal band!! Dance With the Dragon featuring Jp Leppaluoto is such a good song; their music combines opera, metal music, film and music theatre music. They are a Finnish band and every album has such a remarkable concept!! - I hope Kirk is feeling better? Hope ya'll have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!!

I would so LOVE to hear you talk to Jayant on this channel, it would be amazing. His voice has always blown me away. I bet he'd be down :-D
My favorite babymetal collab ever! I finally saw babymetal in person last month and it was awesome!
SU-METALを愛してくれてありがとう😊
彼女の声は鋭い日本刀のようであり、
混沌に秩序をもたらす柔らかな光のようであり、
私は臨終の間際には彼女の声を聞いていたいとさえ思っている🤘
Listening to bloodywood live is such a treat. !! they sound as energetic as in studio records!! they have already performed this song live and few other new songs in India presently. \m/
I heard them in Bandlands where they opened with this, and then followed with Nu Delhi I think. It's absolutely insane how good Jayant sounds live as well. Off the charts energy!
Hi! I rrreally like the graphics for your countdown
& lovely premier ☃️🥂
Great reaction and analysis.
Amazing collab🐘🦊
If you want to hear more serious Babymetal, I recommend No Rain No Rainbow, especially the live version. It is a beautiful somber song
Further, I am already pondering over “what’s next?”
insane... absolutly insane. the harmonicing blew me away. you can put babymetal into ANYTHING and they will always blow my mind.
Just heard it the other day, absolute banger!!!
Been a fan of Bloodywood since their cover of Tunak Tunak Tun. Was stoked to see this collab drop!
I really enjoyed this live have not been able to join lives with you lately due to work
I became obsessed with song immediately when I first heard it! I want this utilized in an anime eventually!!! I'm loving the growing trend of metal being nerdy! 😊
I caught this last week and was so excited! It is amazing!
Cool stuff! Reminds me a lot of Electric Callboy - Mc Thunder II. 🤘🤘🤘
I found Bloodywood about 18 months ago and Babymetal about 10 months ago. Love that they came together. Great video and fun song to listen to. My suggestion to you for Babymetal is "From Dusk til Dawn". Love that song.
Bloodywood is bloody awesome 🤘
The blending of cultures - both in the music and the video - is brilliant
BABYMETAL RULES! ❤
When I heard how amazing this video was, I listened to the song by itself so I could appreciate it. It is a very good song by itself, but this video is amazing! It was created by an Indian animation studio.
All of the iconography is amazing, along with the lyrics.
Shogun Ganesha FOREVER!!!
I'm so glad I decided to give this a listen. I enjoyed the heck out of that!!!
Chills!!
I want a full album collaboration with them
So as I have been watching, I love the old metal that you have been doing.
Please react to “Headbanger (Momoko ver.)” also known as “Momobanger” to hear more of her growls! Great reaction as always!
Yes! We must make Elisabeth watch Momobanger and hear Momo sing and growl! 😆 ua-cam.com/video/19nntDDbYdg/v-deo.htmlsi=mMA-54_fYFmlOHDV
Or Metali is another good Momo song
The fear is a choice and the choice is mine reminds me of the tagline for After Earth: Danger is real, fear is a choice
so glad to see some bloodwood back on the channel
I love watching you. Your joy rubs off on me, so thank you for that. Are you going to do Christmas songs? I vote for Pentatonix’ newest version of O Holy Night. Please, oh please 😆
The animation is freaking amazing
Rang De Basanti from Bloodywood has a strong contrast in the way vocals sound vs what the lyrics portray
Such a fantastic collaboration. Thank you for the analysis. I don't think you've covered any of the songs that Jayant does cleans in, but he has a beautiful clean voice as well. "Yaad" is one that comes to mind. Also, their previous single "Nu Delhi" has some cleaner vocals.
these two work so good together
Love the heavy song and the culture mix of the samurai Ganesha (elephant-headed Hindu deity). 🤘🦊🤘
Essily my GOAT'D song of the year for metal❤
You should checkout BM's Shanti Shanti Shanti
I’ve watched almost everything in your metal reactions playlist, and I have to say it’s missing some black metal! :D Maybe a classic like 'Freezing Moon' by Mayhem?
This is my new favorite song!! It's PERFECT!❤❤❤ I'm almost 68 years old, and I'm a huge Babymetal fan. And now I'm a fan of Bloodywood.
So awesome 🔥🤘
