I keep my rod down, stops the fish from jumping by keeping it down in the water= lose less fish. Makes a huge difference. 👍 only keep the rod up when fly fishing 👍 whatever works for you tho bud 🎣

@@senanstanleyfishing the trout are mostly small:half pound is a rare thing , unless u get a ferrox . I’ve been trying for years : the salmon are only starting to take in the last couple of weeks
They’ve all caught fish already quality lures but the favourite would be The rapala 7cm in brown trout is just a weapon for all species, trout perch and pike can’t resist it bud .
@@senanstanleyfishing what depth of water are you generally targeting I know you fish the deep water sometimes but what is generally your minimum depth when targeting trout ?
I love the middle of the lake for trout id generally troll 200ft away from the shore , I’d fish any depth as long as the bottom has structure worth fishing pal 👌🎣 the trout can be anywhere. Right now I find the trout avoiding the pike in the shallows so they’ve moved out into the open water , that’s just my opinion on it
Yep Cheap and cheerful , do the job , I keep the more expensive gear for the casting and fly fishing , trolling set ups are fairly bombproof and the Abu devils are light so the fight off the fish is great craic that’s the main thing 😁👌

As long as the sun isn’t too intense you will have no problem finding them, There’s plenty in it, persistence pays off with them 👍👍
