Tom. You and your crew have outdone yourselves with the terraced patios with stone faced edges. Beautiful!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the very best concrete work on UA-cam. Not even close. Problem is people like watching drama so other channels have more subs. If you want to watch quality work then it’s here. It would take Victory a week to do what you did today, and the quality wouldn’t even be close. But his channel has blown up so he doesn’t need to do a lot of work anymore.

People have to lose the mindset that cheapest bid is best…You get what you pay for…Your work speaks for itself..I’m sure you don’t have to do much advertising…

I handle people like that all the time I just did day work for somebody who was nickel and diming me and they got what they paid for

When I was doing concrete it was common to be called after a rejected bid to come in after the low bidder could not complete the job. And to rip out and replace work that failed prematurely in sometimes spectacular fashion. Both situations happen also when homeowners that don't know what they're doing try the DIY approach.

@@mikebarushok5361 I've been there a lot and the final payment was more than the original bid I submitted.

Great video Tom, and your right about advertising; word of mouth is the very best, because most people trust what their neighbor not only tells them, they can go see the work you have done. Those that do shoddy work do not last long, because of word of mouth as well. All the work you guys do remind me of those picture perfect jobs shown in magazines. "Better Homes and Garden type work - picture perfect. The little extras, like making sure you do no9t leave a mess, and doing at least a minimal job of land scaping around the slab, makes it look even better, and as i kno you know, people are glad to tell others when the received a great job at a fair price - lots of scammers around. I appreciate your concern for details - which MANY Contractors miss, but it cost them in the long run. thanks Tom actually a pleasure to watch you guys work. all the way from SE Texas :) 💯🙏

Morning Tom, It's gotten to the point that words are few and far between on your work. Your crew are THE standard in concrete. It's the "details" that put you above the rest. Your attention in this area make your jobs stand out. You can see where that newbie, Steve Haus, is trying to copy your work, good luck to him🤣🤣.
I agree on the word of mouth advertising. My sons aeration business counts on that plus he does do social media for new customers. That and communication is key. He's a solid 4.8++ stars on his website, Angi, and Facebook. Customers continue to praise him on his communication with them. I'm sure you do the same. Good video ❤❤

I've been impressed with the skills you have developed and communicated that most people don't appreciate as being necessary to successfully do a concrete business.
Logistics and planning to get materials, tools and people coordinated.
    Carpentry involved in form work.
Soil engineering to prepare the substrate to give the best longevity to the resulting product.
Artistry to give an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Financial analysis to be able to pay the help, pay for equipment, cover the costs of materials and to cover the unexpected when inevitable but unpredictable issues arise.
Human resource management to attract, train and keep good help.
In reality, pouring concrete itself is the easiest part. But unless you take sufficient care of all the rest you can easily fail to have enough success to be a sustainable business.

Mr Haus I take an old lock box or a carabiner to attach spare keys to electrical tape a sandwich bag over it and clip it somewhere safely under my truck. The magnet key thing is great for heavy equipment but it seems to bounce off of a truck

I watched a video where the guy started his truck and left his key in his garage. Drove to the end of his driveway which was a mile long. As long as he drives it stays running, so he shut off the truck so had to walk back. When I had Onstar I could start and stop my truck with a app but now that I don't that feature left.

Don't loose one of those fancy computer chip keys!! Depending on make, type of key, dealer pricing, etc. it runs between $300 to $500 for a single key!! That price gouging.

    Another awesome video!
I’ve seen many of your videos, but not all of them so I apologize if you’ve already covered this topic. Would you consider doing a video that goes over the entire process of determine how much and what type of concrete to order? Also, what to expect when calling a batch plant to request ready mix? Just curious.
    Thanks so much!

    • @mikebarushok5361
      @mikebarushok5361 Місяць тому

It has it's place, but isn't cost effective where steel can be used. Certain structures that are all curves come to mind, such as some modern architectural curved or domed roofs.
