Good Morning Tom, you and your Team are Concrete Artists, no matter if the Job is Big or Small you always make sure that the Final View of the Project Looks Amazing. Long Term Smiles gifted to the Homeowner to Reflect Upon making the Home Even more Inviting. 😀👍👍👍
When the concrete truck shows up, the mud is the boss. Everyone and everything else comes second.
Hands down one of the best concrete channels on the tube.....very quality work.... And I've been in concrete for 30 years....Keep the videos coming!
Good afternoon, Tom. Being from western PA, your 95° is made worse by the humidity that goes along with. Now living in Southern Utah where our temps are running around 110° but with humidities in the single digits to low teens. When we built our house all the concrete pours started around 4am to beat the heat. As always, your work looks great!
Fastening blog , never boring , always a different twist on each job to keep you on your toes !! 😎👍🚧
I know concrete work is tough but you all make it look easy. 😊
Philadelphia Mike here -- Tom you know I am a 71 old, retired concrete worker -- And all the work that we do to make the concrete patios look so good - and better today with the stamp concrete -. But after he dries and people put their furniture and grills on top. -- I always noticed that people don’t even look at the patios at all - did you ever think about that? - or noticed that. -- TOM - let me know what you think.
You have a good point that just ups the challenge to make the patios more noticeable
@@Concretewiththehauses about the patios -- no matter how nice we made him. -- It’s just that after it’s all over and people have their parties. No one really looks at the concrete anymore. -- Know what I mean
People just don’t take notice to it after a while
Im happy to see u using a $35 estwing hammer and not one of those $400 martinez hammers.
Nice work 👍 I hate the heat. Probably comes from haying when I was a kid through my teen years. It would be 90 degrees outside and 110-115 degrees in the haymow. Keep hydrated
Hiya Tom another great video and pour, always enjoyable. Like the ribbon and the looks on the first pour. Safe and Happy Independence day to you, your family and team. 🎆 🎇
The old driveway looked just fine! Cracks were Hartley noticeable! Could that old concrete be brightened up?
For that project where you ripped out the old concrete, it looked like you could have used a mini skid loader for the cleanup, like the one Mike Morgan bought!
I like the heat but I wish it was gradual in heating up. Going from 40 degrees in the morning to 90 by noon is hard to adapt to. I was a millwright for a few years. Coveralls, hard hat, boots and gloves and working above a boiler was the worst experience I’ve had. 😅 It can always be worse. 😊 Retired now so I can pick and choose what I do in the hot weather.
Retirees only need to remember four words. "I don't have to". That can be the answer for all the questions you may get.
Very nice job and the boarders do make it look better!!
To paraphrase the great Johnny Mercer, "you've got to accentuate the pour(sative)"....😊
Hi Tom, keep on keeping on with the emphasis of your videos on your methods and quality of work. Granted other UA-camrs show more of the drama of their daily operations but your calmness is your niche. Maybe you could show more interactions with the property owners, concrete truck drivers and supply yard employees to make your videos a little more interesting which may drive up your subscribers.
P.S. what type of aggregate do you use that you usually don’t need to compact.
If you ever worked night shifts in your career you’ll appreciate the quietness trying to get to sleep at 6 am after shift.😢
The master😁💯👊 greating from the Nederlands. 👍
Moin!
Hello Tom. The city will be replacing the sidewalk in front of my Hause because city workers incorrectly planted an Oak tree 20 years ago and the roots have pushed the sidewalk up, breaking it and creating a trip hazard. If they add Calcium to the concrete mix, will that shorten the drying time so that it can be driven on in 24 hours or so? That is what they told me they would do. We are currently having temperatures in the mid to upper 90's now. The length is about 45 feet. I'd rather that you guys do the work, but I am in Georgia. Have good days!
Tom,y son-in-law had to go in this morning a 4 am because he had floor boxes in slab pour !!
Yes, sometimes that happens. We just have to do whatever it takes and hopefully the rewards pay off.
Happy 4th of July
I seen a video where at first I thought someone was going to make the concrete company made but it was okay. The people were walking their dog down the sidewalk to put prints in it. I guess what ever floats your boat!
Tom, do you get a lot of humidity in your area? Does the humidity affect the working or curing of concrete?
I have a question: We have a 14 year old concrete patio. I’m thinking of having it stained, Is it possible to have designs like old boards stained into an existing patio?
Yes, it definitely is. It might add some maintenance to it down the road. I always recommend talk to your local suppliers. They can help you design.
👋🏼
Is this just me or am I missing something, that concrete definitely doesn't look right, at first I thought why demo it but then it obviously obvious right, I wondered if the water might collect under the concrete,😊😊😊.
Possibly some big cracks in it and the homeowners were just ready for a change
It is amazing how you and the crew jumps from one job to the other and keep a steady line of work going on and making all of the pours look really good amd thje border sets off the pour!
Is Elliot a relative or neighbor?
is elliot kin to you
I will trade you my so far 9 straight days of triple digits from 100 to 111 with very little breeze blowing.
You guys wouldn't make it down here in south Florida where it's 90- 95 everyday.
I pity anyone who has to do a job like this without power buggies. Pushing a wheelbarrow in that kind of heat would not be fun.
I hope that they will be using some kind of common sense. I think that you are trying hard not to get the natives upset. Plus how much noise can a redi mix truck make. I think that they are very quiet.
Heck yeah you're doing borders!! Your customers are watching your videos and seeing how the border accentuates the pour. I especially like the border a bit darker than the rest. It just beautifies the entire pour. Put the broken stone on the edges and it turns into a work of art! I can only imagine the sense of pride your customers have when having friends and family over for an evening out on the patio. I remember ine pour y'all did that was on a mega million dollar estate, that had exposed aggregate borders along the driveway and parking area. Ive seen some really beautiful pours over the past 4 years on this channel. I've not seen anything like your work around here in NC. Homeowners here need to be watching your channel and start a demand for artistic pours here. I've seen magnificent homes around here w plain, i mean plain concrete. What a shame. The concrete guys here need to be watching your channel too. They're all missing out!!! Thanks Tom for sharing your awesome daily routines w us. I love this channel!!👍❤️🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲
agree with you 100% he and the crew are true worker's of fine art..
Thank you, Keith you can be my wingman down there spreading the word have a great fourth
