I want to thank you, Richard Gene! Catching Crappie was on my list of things to learn how to do. I found you a year ago and watched all of your videos. My hubby and I finally began catching Crappie last spring. We missed the spawn but got em after and continued to catch em. We went on a 3 day fish in the Savannah River and nailed it! You taught me water temps and depths and where to find em. We filled our boat with slabs every day and stocked our freezer for the year and a friend's freezer. It was great fun! Thank you again!
Hi Richard, If you put a hunk of rubber about 1/4" thick under that trolling motor it should cut down the vibration that's being transfered to to boat. Thanks for the Vids!
Those Little Cleo spoons are great for trout fishing too, even in rivers with strong current just a steady retrieve will get em everytime. Tight lines Richard Gene!!
Not sure I ever saw a longnose that big even swimming in the water much less on a hook. That thing was impressive! You might have to make another "gar roping" video. What you catch with spoons and Rooster Tails: you never know until you throw. We used to hit the white bass run on the French Broad River above the fork at the head of the Tennessee River itself. Richard is right. We would catch fish until we couldn't stand to see one. One after another. A lot of those "green shad" (skipjack), too. Small spoons and Rooster Tails would slay them. Fun times _and good eating._
I love those spoons! All sizes too! 80% of the time they get hit when they are falling down, in my experience. There were days when I caught pike, bass, pickerel, trout just using the same spoon, same day.
Amen to that! I’ve been looking forward to going fishing with him for my birthday last August! But I know it’s hard for him because of all the people that would love to go with him!
RGTFM, you have the best fishing channel available to view (In my opinion). Love all of your content. I would love to sit under a shade tree and talk with you one afternoon. I've learned so much from watching your videos. Keep em coming. God bless you and your family sir. ROLL TIDE!
Cyarn…love it! Been a while since I’ve heard that. Short for carrion. My dog used to come back to the house stinkin and daddy would say he had been “wallering in cyarn”. Not sure why dogs do that but it sure was nasty! As always, I love RGTFM! My favorite channel on UA-cam! Thanks Richard!
Haven't seen seen one of your videos in a while. Forgot how much I enjoy them. And appreciate the knowledge and techniques. They are second to none. Wooooooo
The “Little Cleo” spoon has stood the test of time…. My dad and I were using them to catch schooling white bass on Clark’s Hill lake about 55 years ago. 😊
Good morning Mr Richard. You are such an inspiration. The way you love what you do and how you count everything as a blessing. I love the way you give thanks to the one who truly deserves it, God. It is so refreshing to see someone who truly realizes without God none of this would be possible. Please keep the videos coming. God bless you sir.
Brother I can’t thank you enough for everything you have changed my whole game on fishing and a lot of other things I can’t put into words how much you mean to me god bless you and your beautiful family
Hey Richard, I've been a fan and subscriber for years. Always love your videos and hit the 👍 I wish I could have one day out fishing with you! That would be a lifetime great moment for me. God Bless you Richard!!
I am with that guy . You should have a drawing. I live in Nebraska . If I won i would definitely travel to do some other state fishing . God bless Richard Gene . And Woo!
Been noticing vibration from your new TM coming through the hull and into the camera. It may help or even eliminate it if you could find a rubber mat about 1/4" thick and mount it between your TM and the bow. What you can hear through the camera is probably just as if not louder in the water.
Thanks for this fun video, Richard! Man, when I heard you were gonna be spoonpluggin', I was ready to watch a seminar on Buck Perry's methods with his famous Spoonplug. Oh, well....lot's of lures can have similar names. 😄 Looks like that snagged gar was hooked in one of the pelvic fins, not pectoral. We have mostly shortnose gar here in S. Dak. Wish I could get a longnose gar. Take care.
I've used Lil Cleo's for trout fishing for decades. Only thing is, I don't get to go trout fishing but about one a decade. They are always in my trout fishing lure box.
Hi Richard, I have a question (anyone else is welcome to answer as well). With a spoon bait I figured you can’t fish it by lifting it up and down on the floor in deep murky water because it needs light to reflex off of it. How does it work so well when it’s so dark on the floor? Thanks!
Foul hooked a few of those myself and they fight like demons. Hooked a 3-ft pissed off giant on the dorsal with a lipless. Tried to land it but eventually snapped my 20 lb braid. What a fight!
Hey Richard, what kind of blue fishing are you using in this video? And I must say, seeing how you let a lot of fish released...The Gar would make a good catch. I enjoyed.
Richard in California I call that fish a bugle mouth. Haven't seen you for a while hope everything is going well say hi to the Mrs. Rob from California.
Hay Richard, have a question furr ya where can I get the none waxed dental floss? I'm not sure if they still make it. I have looked everywhere Walmart CVS and so on I live in NW FL have family in gadsden, Fort Payne and Guntersville AL in your stomping grounds . I really appreciate your videos and your great attitude. Thanks Don
You should have a drawing and let one of us fish with you for a day... Woo. woo. Woo... WOOO.
That's would be awesome
I second this 😊
Third
I'd give a whole paycheck to go fishin' with Elmo n' dem.
I have always wanted to ask him myself...
I'm 49 years old, fished and watched fisherman all my life, and I have to say sir, love your videos. You are my favorite fisherman of all time.
He's a legend in my eyes

Hi Richard, If you put a hunk of rubber about 1/4" thick under that trolling motor it should cut down the vibration that's being transfered to to boat. Thanks for the Vids!
Old man Ricky is my hero. The gar slayer !!
Everybody seems to hate the gar. It's always a treat catchin a big one while catfishing. Love to see them!
One of the best fishing channels that fishes and not watching a TV pestering fish.
It seems like every one of your videos is a new adventure!
Thank you, and God bless.
Those Little Cleo spoons are great for trout fishing too, even in rivers with strong current just a steady retrieve will get em everytime. Tight lines Richard Gene!!
Let's go fishing Mr. Gene!!

Richard Gene body slammed that Last Gar!!!😄
Wow Richard! Those gar are big! If you like catching those, you should come up north and fish for some pike and muskie!
Love you Richard! So much fun to watch your show. God bless 🎣🙏🏻
Woah! Those gator fish, I'd say if they got a hold of ya, that would be one bad day. Nice work, Richard!
I dont have enough good luck built up to be able to land a big gar on a spoon! Mr. Richard doesn't hard ever lose a fish! Another great vid!
Haven't seen seen one of your videos in a while. Forgot how much I enjoy them. And appreciate the knowledge and techniques. They are second to none. Wooooooo

Great video Richard! Went out to the hiawassee river up above you last Saturday and caught 46 white bass and crappie. Keep up the good work!

We call those bill gar down here in south alabama. They always tear up my sucker nets in the river down here.
Caught a Carp the other day in the tail just like you catching that BIG Gar. Caught it on a small BASS PLUG! WOO!
Caught a few sand bass this weekend, kept 3 to try in making jerky. Will definitely make more soon.

Let me smell that. Only RGTFM. YOU ARE THE MAN.
Been noticing vibration from your new TM coming through the hull and into the camera. It may help or even eliminate it if you could find a rubber mat about 1/4" thick and mount it between your TM and the bow. What you can hear through the camera is probably just as if not louder in the water.

Do you think a Little Cleo would work in a farm pond?
Take all the red streaks off the top loin and fry the white bass and it is my favorite fish to eat.
thanks richard for showing those chatter bait minis i got 8 of them today
Great video
When do the white bass start to run on the TN river,
Richard’s adrillagen is second to none .
Thanks again for sharing brother and I enjoyed it 😁
really enjoy your videos ole buddy. hope you do a white bass run video in the creeks this year
Gar are something else. Kind of a nuisance fish but they fight like crazy and are one of the prettiest fish out there.
I had to look because there is a lure called a spoonplug. So you are just using a spoon to lift and drop. Nice
Those were some nice ones.
Thank you for the blessing.
Got on some great Crappie bank fishing the other day! Just put the video on my channel. The bite is heating up in Kentucky.
Just went back and watched the Sauger video to get my fix. Richard Gene I can stand to have a new video every day 😂😂😂
You should look up what spoonplugging really is. Look up Buck Perry. He's from North Carolina.
Are yall smelling what im stepping in 😂😂 Yupp Im here for it machine
Very nice scissor Bill gar
Awesome video Richard. I've never used a spoon but I'm mostly a bank fisherman

Are skip jack biting up there yet? I live south and across state border from you.
2 questions, 1. Do Garr fish have scales? 2. Are they good eating?
Foul hooked a few of those myself and they fight like demons. Hooked a 3-ft pissed off giant on the dorsal with a lipless. Tried to land it but eventually snapped my 20 lb braid. What a fight!
What size spoot do you use
What's it take to go fishin with you for a day? Watched a long time. I always wondered if ya take anyone out.
great video. I always watch your videos bro 😎. Is it better to fish early or in the afternoon?
God bless Richard gene woooo
Hey Richard, what kind of blue fishing are you using in this video? And I must say, seeing how you let a lot of fish released...The Gar would make a good catch. I enjoyed.
In the glades you can walk on gar fish.
Have you ever caught a paddle fish?
I always get excited to see another Richard video can I get a woo woo woooooo
You got to bleed them white bass and remove the red meat from the fillets or they have too strong of a taste. Same thing for buffalo.
Richard I believe those were Tiger Gar, you had a tiger by the tail ! Bless you brother.
At 21:08 I see image of sasquash
Awesome video makes me what to go fishing cause it’s good fer ya lol
What is that on the hook of that spoon?
Thats some strong adrilajin!
