    My favorite thing about your videos is the fact that you don’t use a ridiculously expensive boat or gear. I’ve watched multiple videos and saw where you do the good old fashioned hook & live worm and catch fish left and right. Fishing should be fun and simple and that’s what you give us.

    Hey! Should be supporting mom and pop shops. 46 years here. We cater to people like you. Lots of benefits when you support the small guy.

      @Sandz_ 11 місяців тому +7

      He does. Google sowbelly rods. They aren't exactly big box. Lol.
      His comment fits the sentiment of most of America, though. I think we'd all like to support local but certain things (like worms, ice, gas, etc) can be WAY more expensive at a small local shop vs big box store.
      Money is tight for a lot of people right now so paying more for a principle often doesn't make sense.

      Lots of moms and pops work at the big box stores these days. And are treated fairly well.

      It depends on the shop for me.
      The local "3 Way" has crickets for $2.99 a tube and worms for $4.99 a can.
      The "Sweet Water" corner store is $8 for crickets or worms.
      If you can maintain competitive pricing you will maintain a loyal customer base.

      I can’t speak for all Walmarts but most of the worms they sell at our Walmarts around here have at least a few dead. I’ve got a few cups of worms that were completely dead. I normally buy my worms at the mom and pop stores and they are normally healthier too… I think Richard was just trying to save people a little bit of money…

      Someone made a book about it 50+years ago. Between that and Buck Perry's brilliant observations, you can catch fish anywhere. At least have a major advantage, lol. It is no mystery that 10% of fisherman catch 90% of the fish.

    You never cease to amaze me… 2lb test and an Aberdeen hook catching river bass, in the winter at that…😅 You’re so in tune with what’s going on you know when to back reel to give him some slack… That just blows my mind… I mean I consider myself a pretty good fisherman but you’re just on another level… All it would take is one of those fish to get turned 180 degrees away from you and a full head of steam and that’s it… I’ve had it happen many times on 2lb test bluegill fishing and accidentally catch a decent size bass…😂 I accidentally hooked a carp while i was bluegill fishing when my daughter was little and he got turned away from me and pow… That was the end of that. She got so dang mad at me over a carp…😂 I still get a kick out of that… Lmao

    Another good thing to use a reddish color zman 2.5 inch creyfish with trophy bass. I'll put the splitshot 8 inches above the creyfish. This works well during the fall. Also, a grub worm with the hook built into grub worm with procure trophy bass by procure.
