If you're going to post this you should include how to make it safely -
If you want to make this at home I recommend boiling the steak for a few seconds until the outside goes grey, then pulling it out and once it has cooled down, slice off the cooked parts and use what's inside- this will kill any bacteria which transferred to the outside of the meat during the butchering process. Also, use high quality meat and a tender, lean cut as cheap cuts/tough cuts are often machine tenderized which transfers external bacteria into the interior of the meat. It's not 0 risk as there can still be intramuscular bacteria but prep method certainly helps.

I'm Dutch, love the Albert Heijn version (normal one), but I msut say I have never had any home-made or even seen it made haha. But I eat this a lot! Especially Filet americain Speciaal - some bread (you can use buns, baguettes, or just a slice if you prefer), spread this on, put on some boiled egg (or, honestly, I also use omelettes, because both are fcking amazing - i love both eggs and this, so), some mayo, some paprika and curry powder, you can add optional: salt, pepper, onion, chili powder, ive even seen someone use garlic though im not sure about that one.
I have it at least once every two weeks, but when I get the cravings for it it becomes more like 3x per week lol. 2 or 4 portions each time (a portion being 1 sandwich or half a not-too-big baguette, etc, with 1 egg)
