Model Railway Layout with Cab Ride of Beautiful Swiss Trains in HO scale

- There is a fantastic model railway layout in Switzerland. The model railroad was built in 1:87 scale - both with normal track sections and with narrow track or gauge railways sections, HO scale and HOn3½ gauge. This film was made with the very wide-angled Yi 4K camera to illustrate the enormous dimensions of the whole model train layout. The railroad system extends over three levels: On the lowest, first level there is a large shadow station, in which more than 300 trains and train combinations are stored. From there, the model trains are going the climb a 3.4 meter high track spiral to the main middle-level. On the second, middle level there are a big railway station as well as a goods and marshalling yard with container terminal and tank storage. Opposite the main station, there is a little village with two railway lines. While the one railway line runs over the large lattice bridge, the other railway line passes through the village. In total there are trains of the Swiss Federal Railroad as well as of the Rhaetian Railway. Please, enjoy the cab rides and the wide-angled field of view. So far for me this video feels the most like a real cab ride. The makers of this layout had excellent sense of detail and taste: there is no excess on this layout - like too many different landscapes or overcomplicated tracks. The quality of the video is great too.

One of the most beautiful modell layout I have ever seen.
Now I think I know a thing or two about model railways and I have seen a great many of them, but this one truly stands out. The level of detail is amazing for a layout of its size, it is incredibly well maintained and the working overhead power lines alone are a miracle to behold. On top of that, and contrarily to many similar layouts, the vehicles and traffic patterns look credible and coherent. Hats off to the people who invest(ed) what must be a huge effort (and some handsome amount of money!) to build an run this!
It really is incredible what you all have done with model railroading - clearly on another level. This doesn't even look like a model but the real thing! The camera views the landscaping the precision is just amazing to watch and know that all this was laid down track by track, village by village etc., Really authentic workmanship. Some views, I simply feel like I am in an airplane looking down on a real city. Other times I feel like I am the engineer actually operating the train.
This is a dream railway whoever's made this obviously put in the time,money and effort into this and the tilting mechanism is outstanding

So much wonderful clean detail amd then an operator hits switches at 70 mph. What's the term? Unreal? Lol, that's it. Unreal. Still an amazing layout with cool, unintimidating ligjting and lovely skies going to the heavens the way it should be. Fantastic job with no giants sticking their faces in the clips. Love it!
Certainly some of the best trackwork and beautiful close-to-scale catenary I've ever seen. Superelevated curves and dead straight tangents are extremely hard to achieve, especially in the smaller scales. Outstanding!

There’s so much realism in this footage, just blocking out the Fluor lights in the building and you forget for a moment you are riding from a scale model train. This is absolutely superb! Now to see if my Australian Model friends can do the same. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

In an instant you can tell this to be SWISS MADE, the curve Radiusses even the inclinations are to scale! Also the landscape is not overbuilt but with realistic views and perspectives! 👍 A wonderful model railroad!
Some of you might remember the Swiss model railway Magazin DIE MODEL EISENBAHN to be spear heading the philosophy of the use of proper Radiusses to be most important to realistic looks.

I must say the catenary is impressive best I've seen and the overall detail is exceptional, well done Swiss.
I am a Train driver and notice when details are wrong on a model railway but i have to say this is excellent, it's the little things like scale size overhead wiring and the Cant or lean on the curves, the working signals that make this layout so good.

Working signals are good indeed, but when a signal shows yellow/green aspect the train should slow down because the turnouts set to outbound direction (not strait and we suppose the speed limit is 40km/h). Unfortunately, we don't see this feature on many layouts, however the software what they use can do that. This way trains are running too fast in this case.
Forgive me but I must ask what the cost to build the layout was not including the rolling stock. This is one of the top 3 layouts I've ever had the privilege to see. Thank you so very much for sharing it with us. Well done.

Must had a special cam on affixed because all other video captured in the cab unrealistically bumps and shake on the tracks rolling along. This smoothness on this layout seems flawless with no "toy" shaking whatsoever. Excellent.

This is the best layout that I’ve ever seen. I love German, Swiss and Austrian railways and model railways and I’ve got a huge collection but sadly due to a lack of space only a medium sized layout but heavily detailed.

Such a nice layout, the depth is amazing. I really like the way they painted the mountainsides on the walls they are perfect . The mountain that is not a mural is perfect they hid the sight lines so well and really created a unique layout. Getting to see whole towns is a real treat. So many awesome buildings. The clock tower bells ringing and the perfect landscaping the color palette of the actual landscape and the painted murals are spot on and look so realistic. I would love to be able to see this in person. Thanks for all you do, great video.

A real fine video about that model railway system, especially when it is shown from the driver's position. You should have continued with the film recording when the train was driving through the tunnels, this would have been very exiting no matter how dark the sequences would have been.
