The 347 has an interesting history, as it was originally a joint Manchester/ashton Under Lyne trolleybus service, which I think was numbered the 217. Became the 347 in GMPTE days.
Yes, I was talking about bus weights with someone the other day, and believe Streetlites are exceptionally heavy for a bus of its size and the engines they use. Shocking Diamond use them on that route really
I’m not a fan of the 347, got on one from Denton to Ashton yesterday, scanned my weekly ticket, took my seat and then the driver said the ticket was fake and “I ain’t going anywhere until you pay for your ticket!” when clearly it was real (the bee moves left and right when scanning an online ticket if it’s real). Never getting a 347 again!

Great video Lucy 👍
Not surprised about the Streetlites struggling on the hills, apparently they have a reputation for being underpowered

brilliant video
Glad you enjoyed it
Excellent video again Lucy!
What's that GMS bus with the Orange livery at the start of the video?
Reminds me of the old GM Buses livery.👍🙂
It's one of the heritage liveries Stagecoach have been doing. That one is the GM Buses South one. Looks great, right?
@LucyMichela Thanks Lucy. Looks great indeed. 🙂👍
