Honestly Gaara went from a blood thirsty monster, to a kind, caring Kazekage who will put his life on the line to protect the sand village. He became my favorite character after I saw him change into a better person.
Its well written in a way that most narrow minded people imidietly hated or at least shoved him in the "evil" category for his actions. While nobody questioned why he did what he did. And when you learn he was simply a much more sader Naruto who was not only neglected but constantly tormented and traumatized by all around him to a point he had been shaped to this "monster" by others. In the end he was a kid screaming for a solution to the agony of his life. And when he got that in true friendship he grew into the man he was always ment to be.

Naruto helped change my life and was the catalyst to become better and when I had to do my paper on my remorse or whatever for the owners, I used this quote and my PO was genuinely proud , he didnt hate me after that and actually saw me as a person instead of a statistic.
