Naruto: "I was super popular with girls back then" Jiraiya: "Practically everyone in the village hates him for something that's not even his fault, but he's working on it"
Well that's just Naruto's charming way of keeping the kids from knowing that the village they're growing up in once treated their savior like garbage until he's good and ready to impart that information to them.
That's probably why baruto really doesn't care much of what he father does for the village naruto constantly telling him that everyone in tbe village loved him baruto probably just assumed naruto was like him had a loving family and had loads of friends he never thought his dad had it rough as a child.
During this time, Sasuke wasnt there for Naruto. Naruto was suffering and still wanted sasuke back. Sasuke mustve felt guilty for leaving Naruto. Both Boruto and Sasuke are learning about Naruto.
But Sasuke wasn't there nor had any part in Jiraiya's death. So I don't get how he would be emotional over that. I think he was thinking more about past naruto and the nine tails, possibly about their past fights, mostly the one at the falls.

For those wondering where the tree swing was during this scene, Naruto was thinking of it in his dream. His ability to summon sad music at the thought of this swing is a very underappreciated feat.
1 thing I love about this arc and conversation in particular is that it is the final step in Boruto having his own opinions of his dad and grandfather flipped. I don't want to slight Minato or Naruto at all, but I got the vibe that Naruto knew well enough why his dad did what he did. But Boruto did not. That led to Boruto being raised by a Hokage father, who praised his own father's mistakes because they worked in a last ditch attempt. Boruto spent his life disregarding his fathers journey and power, whilst being taught his grandfather was a saviour of the village. Only to have that dashed and realize Naruto was the one who suffered, endured, succeeded and ultimately won. Again not to slight Minato. it just really does a great job of putting this shows tone into perspective. Boruto couldn't understand until now. And all of a sudden he isnt some kid of a random guy put in charge, he is the son of the son of one of the greatest and most tragic heros and clans in the series. he now understands that he isnt up to snuff, and his dad and granfather sacrificed and lost everything for him to be here, with his sister on her birthday. And whether Minato, Naruto or Boruto knew it was going to end this way, each of them to this point have done something to prove they are a Uzumaki at heart. Minato gave his life, Naruto served an entire life of solitude to succeed, and Boruto has been culminated into the family man the others should have been. He cares deeply for his family, to the point he shunned our favourite hero, and as much as we hated it, we got it. He was the man of the house, and he would risk it all for his sister. Him getting to understand not only what Naruto went through as a kid, but also what Minato gave up to let it happen, he gets he has a ways to go. Love it
@WhiteTowerGuard The part I hated the most is how they made Naruto break a promise, I mean his ninja way is to always keep his word, just a smear on his character, though he does get better at balancing his home life with the Hokage duties
I didn't take it as a "smear" on Naruto's character. To me, it was more to show how Naruto is not perfect and is actually capable of screwing up on a promise despite it being his creed. I think it humanizes Naruto which is something that some fans of Naruto thought the character lacked thinking he was too larger then life.
I think jaraiya found out instantly that boruto was from the future when he used rasengan. Cause only the forth hokage and jiraiya knows the technique and Naruto since he taught it to him. Jiraiya no dummy lol

A lot of adults hide parts of the past from children, sometimes due to trauma or regret. You often really _don’t_ find out until you’re much older what your parents or grandparents suffered through, so even if it’s sad, it makes sense that Naruto, Hinata, and even Kurama wouldn’t address it right away.

Interestingly, I imagine this is the first time Sasuke had ever considered the downsides of Naruto's power. From his point of view, the Kyuubi chakra has always been a benefit to him, outperforming him at almost every turn. This partly played in his own use of the cursed seal, which came with consequences, but it was the only way to keep up. At the very least, before becoming Orochimaru's apprentice, he didn't know that there were any downsides to the Kyuubi power. Even if he knew that there were, he had never seen Naruto lose control, since the outbursts started and ended while he was gone. In this scene, he is probably realizing a lot more about Naruto than he thought he knew.
Rewatch the 3rd episode of Naruto and tell me he had never considered the downside. That's the only reason he did not look for payback after getting ambushed by Naruto.
@@rifasclub I just did, and he wanted payback until Sakura spouted the wrong things. I've watched a lot of Naruto filler. A LOT. Too much. They probably play all of these OSTs at least 50 times in 1 arc. What I'm saying is, I never thought I would miss hearing them again until today.
i got a question , should i watch the fillers in naruto and naruto shippuden ? i already watched all of the cannon episodes and thought about rewatching it all while beating some games and if i include fillers , that would be ALOT more hours , plus i would have episodes i havent seen before
@@deaththekid922 the fillers before the war are great to watch, they are arcs that fit in are set between arcs, 2 of them (about the 3 tailed and the 6 tailed) can even be seen as Bonus for the canon since they both connected to canon events and are some sort of world building. The first filler during the war ar some sort of side storys where you can see some people during the war, it adds some depth to the, but after that you can skippe most of them, the Chunin exam filler is just pushed in in the middle of the war with no reas2, no one remembers it, it's one episode war and next episode the examen after Naruto left Konoha (was the only arc i skipped), it was just to stretch the anime. After Madara activated Tsukuyomi, there is a filler arc where you see everyones dream, it's an interesting arc even if he is to long. After that there is a Itachi arc, the novel is canon, but it didn't take place in the war, but instead of pushing that arc just in, they portrayed it that Sasuke had Itachis memories after he took his eyes, so he remembers Itachis life while they are waiting to fight Madara. The Otsutsuki fillers about Kaguyas and Hagoromons life are also canon and are written by Kishimoto, but because he didn't had the time to but them in the Manga, they put it in the Anime, Zetzu tells Sasuke and Kaguya about her life and The Sage of 6 paths tells them his life. You can definitly watch those fillers.
I just love the fact that Sasuke and Boruto got a chance to meet and talk with Jiraiya, and Jiraiya got a chance to meet Naruto’s son and best friend and pass some wisdom onto them, even if he forgot all about it. Makes these scenes hit harder when you know that Jiraiya secretly knows who they are.
No he understood it took Naruto slot to get where he is but the in depth of what he had to deal with as a child he understood here boruto knows now about 50% of what Naruto had to go through
"Naruto's pain" 😆 Fatricidal Itachi came back and physically and mentally tortured Sasuke into a coma. Having forced him to relive the massacre for 24 hours. Konoha proved to be too incompetent to apprehend Itachi. So Sasuke relied on a better option. Orochimaru. Who also thoroughly proved to be superior to Konoha and was willing to aid him. Unlike Kakashi who heavily suggested he give up revenge. Rather than assure him that Konoha would do their best to beat him. Sasuke was not obligated to stay in Konoha nor be Naruto's comrade. Hopefully these writers don't make everything about Naruto. "Poor Naruto, Sasuke look at how you made him suffer." 😭 It's already bad enough that genocidal Danzo listening scapegoat Itachi gets away with his shit. With Sasuke being condemned by fans for opposing him. "Itachi wanted to protect Konoha (the village that fucked over their clan)! How dare Sasuke want to destroy it!" Now Naruto's feelings are once again being overhyped. I like how Sasuke didn't express any grief to Boruto when Boruto was questioning him about his past. That's how it should be. At most he should feel bad at his planned attempt at killing innocents. Naruto's hardships should be directed toward Boruto, not Sasuke.
Dude Sasuke's pain isn't the only one that matters. Fact is he knew he hurt Naruto for leaving the village. The current Sasuke feels bad about that whether you think he should or not.
@@lucasmartinez5703 lol no use in trying to give him some sense, he's been commenting that same long comment to everyone who comments that Sasuke was feeling guilty. Just his username screams that he's a Sasuke fanboy. But yeah, it's super obvious Sasuke feels like he's partly at fault
The look of shock and regret on Boruto's face says it all. "Mom was right, it really IS different between him and me. I had dad, mom, and Hima, but dad... he had no one, and was hated and mistreated all because of a power he never wanted."
"He may be a fool, but he's slowly making progress." I don't know how Naruto does it, but I always feel like I can endure after watching Naruto and the trials he's been through, like there's still hope. Love this anime so much.
Lucas Martinez dude I’m pretty sure she died, Naruto at the time could feel her presence or life force just like he did with kakashi so I’m pretty sure when she died that’s why he went full rage mode then she was brought back by the rinne rebirth
Everyone calls him a monster but Boruto didn't call him a monster. He said he was LIKE a monster. That it looked like he was a monster. Not that he was a monster.
I was like " dude don't say it anymore" that's why Naruto worked so hard and he is the person he is nowadays and made his dream of becoming Hokage true , honestly I feel proud of Naruto for who far he went after his tragic past and proud of myself for watching him becoming the Hokage
This arc was so satisfying. Boruto finally understanding his dad, Sasuke understanding just what Naruto went through to bring him back to the leaf and seeing Jiraiya again. ❤️
Naruto has been viewed as a great hero for boruto's entire life so learning naruto was hated and shunned by the village as a kid will further develop his character and it'll very interesting to see how boruto's relationship with nauto changes after this arc.
This episode got me in my feelings 🥺 Sasuke seeing What Naruto had to go through when he left is sad even with Boruto seeing with his own eyes of how much harder his dad had it 😭
Its great that Boruto finally learns about Narutos Childhood because he always just seen the "great and popular Naruto", not to know that he was hatred in the past. I think thats good to understand him better.
Its nice that we got screentime of naruto but not as the main character. This time around he may be the main focus of the arc, but now hes looked at from more of an outside perspective as we seen naruto introduce himself towards boruto
What's crazy is, surely Pervy Sage is onto the fact that Boruto is Naruto's son during this scene. Despite this, he kept his cool and even gave Boruto a quick mini-lecture on his father's condition with the 9 tails. Jiraya is just beyond excellent.
0:40 I have been waiting so long for Boruto to hear this. Hopefully he learned something from this arc and won't act like a brat around Naruto anymore, judging from his reaction he probably did
He was teaching the Minato (4th), Naruto and now Boruto....master Jiraya is a legend.... He needs his own story: “the tale of jiraya the galant” was it?
Guys, we are playing sadness and sorrow at school for a concert and I dont know if Ill be able to contain my emotions. This music brings so many memories 😭😭
How crazy that realization must be for him. He hated his dad for loving the village as much or more than him. He hated how the village loved his dad, taking love away from him. Suddenly he realizes that his dad used to be hated by the village. That he was a monster. That his dads childhood was lonely and dark. Honestly, wished the portrayed some of that for boruto.
This was the best part of boruto I’m glad they went back in time to learn about Naruto but also see Naruto master again ugh brought back so many feelings towards the fan base .
I just realized how nice it is knowing that Jiraiya actually got to meet Naruto’s son and reassuring him that Naruto was able to win and create peace. He died knowing the outcome of everything.
It rlly hits hard wen u realize even naruto own SON feared naruto a younger self even tho he knows how naruto is and wut he’s like. Just goes 2 show how hated nd feared naruto rlly wus even his own son feared him so fucced up man
i wish jiraya got to ask sasuke if naruto became hokage before his memory got erased. "you dont have to tell me whats going to happen but did he do it?" Sasuke : "yes" Jiraya; *tear falls down his cheek
Boruto feels guilty for thinking he has it so hard and Sasuke feels guilty for abandoning a friend that really needed him. This arc was surprisingly touching. I think Boruto will appreciate his father more after this arc.
Boruto: learning his dad's past and realizing how awesome he is
Sasuke: Just glad they didnt time travel to anytime he tried to kill naruto

Just Some Guy with a Mustache I sat through all the filler, I hear you
@@deaththekid922 the fillers before the war are great to watch, they are arcs that fit in are set between arcs, 2 of them (about the 3 tailed and the 6 tailed) can even be seen as Bonus for the canon since they both connected to canon events and are some sort of world building.
Jiraiya: But if you call him a monster, I guess that's that
Boruto: MY DAD IS NOT A MONSTER!
Jiraiya: what?
Boruto: What?
Sasuke: like father like son
I just love the fact that Sasuke and Boruto got a chance to meet and talk with Jiraiya, and Jiraiya got a chance to meet Naruto’s son and best friend and pass some wisdom onto them, even if he forgot all about it. Makes these scenes hit harder when you know that Jiraiya secretly knows who they are.
Boruto already understood Naruto’s struggles after the Momoshiki Arc, but this arc is a good way to expand Boruto’s development and I like that.
And he finally regret from everything he thought and said about his dad
No he understood it took Naruto slot to get where he is but the in depth of what he had to deal with as a child he understood here boruto knows now about 50% of what Naruto had to go through
Such a awesome scene, especially Sasuke being like “Now you should understand what your father had to endure and overcome when he was your age.”
And Sasuke realizing how much he contributed to Naruto's pain when he left. Couldn't even look in Jiraiya's direction.
+Joven Yeah I know, but I feel the need to say something anyway for some reason. I don't know why I bother lol.
0:31 Sasuke never looked so defeated and ashamed of himself like that in any part of OG Naruto/Shippuden
The look of shock and regret on Boruto's face says it all.
"Mom was right, it really IS different between him and me. I had dad, mom, and Hima, but dad... he had no one, and was hated and mistreated
all because of a power he never wanted."
Boruto: hes a monster
Naruto from (pain) fight: hold my beer
He didn't say that Naruto is a monster.
more like "hold my girl"
referring to a nearly dead Hinata!
"He may be a fool, but he's slowly making progress."
I don't know how Naruto does it, but I always feel like I can endure after watching Naruto and the trials he's been through, like there's still hope. Love this anime so much.
Well Boruto, you should have seen him when he sprouted the eighth tail
Naruto was crazy I was like yoooo wtf
When he would also see his mom almost die. I kinda don't want Boruto to see that whole arc.
Lucas Martinez dude I’m pretty sure she died, Naruto at the time could feel her presence or life force just like he did with kakashi so I’m pretty sure when she died that’s why he went full rage mode then she was brought back by the rinne rebirth
No she didn't. She barely survived when Sakura was healing her Naruto almost went full nine tails when he saw Pain strike her down.
@@austynmayes868 same omfg i was going crazy too hahahah
Sasuke was in his feeling this whole episode I swear soo sad
This filler is really exploring a dimension of Sasuke that we've never got to see. His guilt of abandoning his only friend
It's canon bro.
Johny Reyes and just how much naruto suffered in general
This naruto ost soundtacks gives me every second goosebumps. Such a nostalgic moment , my whole childhood
Boruto: he was.. like a monster
Me: noooooo don't say that everyone says that!!!
I mean, everyone's right. Its why he worked so hard to control it, after nearly killing a few friends, after all.
@@ryanjones_rheios yeah , I still remember the first time he unleashed the Nine Tail Chackra when he thought Sasuke had died
I didn't mean it like that tho I just met he wasn't acting like himself
Boruto: "He was a monster..."
Me as an intellectual: "You should have seen him when Pain killed Hinata in front of him mid confession."
This episode got me in my feelings 🥺 Sasuke seeing What Naruto had to go through when he left is sad even with Boruto seeing with his own eyes of how much harder his dad had it 😭
Not only did they bring back that original OST,but they also brought back flashbacking to things we literally saw 3 mintues ago.
Omg I just love boruto meeting jiraiya he was like naruto's dad
He finally learned...and it’s as sad as I thought it would be
Its great that Boruto finally learns about Narutos Childhood because he always just seen the "great and popular Naruto", not to know that he was hatred in the past. I think thats good to understand him better.
I wonder how jiraiya would feel about naruto and kurama being buddies in the future?
nick leback that was the entire point of sealing Kurama into Naruto
so he’d be proud I guess?
That “I know” from Jiraiya has got to be an “I know, you’re related to Naruto”
For the way Boruto acts, he basically gives it away.
who else has yellow hair?!
Boruto is basically seeing with his own eyes what a made his dad the man he is now
Bruh they played the classic sad flute music, that hit a bit deep, the feels man!
Sadness and sorrow
When Jiraiya says “I Know!” was so sweet if you know what i mean
Leo Vang stfu

Bruh☠️💀💀
Its nice that we got screentime of naruto but not as the main character. This time around he may be the main focus of the arc, but now hes looked at from more of an outside perspective as we seen naruto introduce himself towards boruto
*Jiraiya, clearly knowing Boruto is Naruto's future son:* "Well, if you think he's a monster so did everyone else - it is what it is."
0:23
He was a monster
Sasuke: (*-*) sure he is..
Flashbacks to the first battle
What's crazy is, surely Pervy Sage is onto the fact that Boruto is Naruto's son during this scene. Despite this, he kept his cool and even gave Boruto a quick mini-lecture on his father's condition with the 9 tails. Jiraya is just beyond excellent.
Boruto: “he was a monster!”
Sasuke: “don’t worry kid, it gets worse..”
0:40 I have been waiting so long for Boruto to hear this. Hopefully he learned something from this arc and won't act like a brat around Naruto anymore, judging from his reaction he probably did
The amount of nostalgia that the “Sadness And Sorrow” OST brings is unfathomable
He was teaching the Minato (4th), Naruto and now Boruto....master Jiraya is a legend....
He needs his own story: “the tale of jiraya the galant” was it?
We need a jiraiya anime
When you realize your dad was made of far tougher stuff than you were. 😭
Shoutout to the Good Dads out there making it look easy for your sons.
Naruto OST is reminding me how much of Naruto is my childhood. Good shit to whoever thought of putting sadness and sorrow in as a throwback👏👌❤
whats ost mean
@@hustlehumbly6169 original sound track
Guys, we are playing sadness and sorrow at school for a concert and I dont know if Ill be able to contain my emotions. This music brings so many memories 😭😭
How crazy that realization must be for him. He hated his dad for loving the village as much or more than him. He hated how the village loved his dad, taking love away from him. Suddenly he realizes that his dad used to be hated by the village. That he was a monster. That his dads childhood was lonely and dark. Honestly, wished the portrayed some of that for boruto.
When Sadness and Sorrow started playing
Nostalgia hit me HARD!!!
You know it's sad when a legendary OST shows up
This makes me happy, just to see that he heard a bit of his past. It means that he (boruto) is starting to grow as a character
Boruto finally learning that his Old Man has been through some shit.
True
*Urashiki capturing Naruto and attempting to steal his chakra*
Jiraiya: 😐
*Boruto using Rasengan*
Jiraiya: 🤨
I feel old watching this...
My boy naruto is finally Hokage and has a whole fam now.
This was the best part of boruto I’m glad they went back in time to learn about Naruto but also see Naruto master again ugh brought back so many feelings towards the fan base .
Far from the best part tbh
This episode made me feel old.
Watching this scene lead me to an old feels train I thought I never see again.
It's like traveling back in time lol
I just realized how nice it is knowing that Jiraiya actually got to meet Naruto’s son and reassuring him that Naruto was able to win and create peace. He died knowing the outcome of everything.
They even brought back the old tunes. Ahh Boruto in a million years will never be as impactful as Naruto was and is.
Jiraya...what a character. A true legend.
I like how their using the old Naruto ost
The greatest thing is.. this proves Naruto not once mentioned how the village treated him to his kids. They only saw everyone loving him.
even though I've heard the tale of naruto's sad past a hundred times it still always hits right in the feels T-T
Jiraiya is so cool here with how much he understands Naruto
It's nice seeing him talk with Boruto
Sadness and sorrow better be played at my funeral.
1:41 music timing was perfect.
Nothing like Jiraiya casually letting a stranger know the village's secret out Lol
He figured out they were from the future.
It rlly hits hard wen u realize even naruto own SON feared naruto a younger self even tho he knows how naruto is and wut he’s like. Just goes 2 show how hated nd feared naruto rlly wus even his own son feared him so fucced up man
I hate how every time Sadness and Sorrow plays, someone coincidentally cuts onions
Jiraiya speaking with Sadness and Sorrow at the background. If I'm dreaming don't wake me up.
“You don’t need to understand who is naruto now, you need to understand the naruto who made it all the way there”
At the end when jiriyia said I know he for sure new boruto was naruto's son
“Hears Sadness And Sorrow” Them feels. Nostalgia alert x10
Sadness and Sorrow everyone like that
😭😭😭 This song make us cry many times
i wish jiraya got to ask sasuke if naruto became hokage before his memory got erased.
"you dont have to tell me whats going to happen but did he do it?"
Sasuke : "yes"
Jiraya; *tear falls down his cheek
You know it’s real when they play sadness and sorrow
Damn Jiraiya so powerful he can explain Naruto's loneliness without using the swing
I just remembered that there are so many fanfictions of Boruto going back to the past.
The boy who had nothing and eventually gets everything vs The boy who has everything and eventually loses them at some point
0:04 - 0:20 you already know things are gonna get heavy when you hear this music
@m747_ Sadness and Sorrow
Orginal song playing
Sadness and sorrow
I'm not crying ..... YOU'RE CRYING !
Boruto feels guilty for thinking he has it so hard and Sasuke feels guilty for abandoning a friend that really needed him. This arc was surprisingly touching. I think Boruto will appreciate his father more after this arc.
Bringing back the old soundtrack is a goat move really had me in the feels
The saddest part is sasuke in the background seeing the pain he caused naruto back then..
what the hell this was 2 years ago, time flies, boruto has being out for 6 years , from my first year at high school to the first year of university
