👌 wow certainly you did, and so neat with the freezing organizig,I really enjoy your show, thanks so much for sharing your skills and easy to go recipie.
Happy New Year, Kevin. What wonderful breakfast ideas. I will have to try them all! You probably know this because you are an avid gardener, among other things 🙂... Because you used so many eggs today, I would suggest sprinkling the eggshells out in your garden to enhance the soil, or just keep the snails away from the Hostas. I live in Ontario Canada, and collect the eggshells throughout the winter months to use in my garden in the Spring. Love your UA-cam videos!
@@AvaT42 Yes, crush them (some I leave bigger). Place them around your Hostas in the Spring when they are just popping up and the snails will not be able to climb over them. I know it sounds cruel to the snails, but your hostas will not have as many "holes" on them. I'm in London, Ontario...so I save a lot of egg shells through the winter months. I also heard that egg shells provide calcium to your soil.

Perfect vlog for the new year, Kevin. Loved your ideas on cooking a variety of breakfast entrees and freezing them. All natural, no preservatives, no added chemicals most people can't pronounce. A very healthy grab and go meal. Thank you for all of your presentations. I've learned and tried some of them. Absolutely delicious. Because I am allergic to dairy products, I substitute with non dairy cream and milk. There's quite a bit of availability in grocery stores for this too. Oh Kevin, how did yo know I was obsessing over breakfast! You brightened my day! December was a challenge for me. We lost my beloved 18 yr old cat, Noel. I'm torn between the New Year and missing her. Your channel is balancing and at some point we will welcome a kitten from a shelter. When I'm sad I cook. When I'm happy I cook! Thank you for these 2023 recipes. Happy cooking! ~ Diane
Diane, so sorry to hear about the loss of your fur baby Noel. My God, this is a most difficult time for you. This loss is enormous and life changing. May God help you heal from the pain of losing this precious friend and baby. Sending lots of love and prayers. Sharon in Maryland, USA
BabyRay Sharon from Maryland - Thank you for your kind words. Hubby and I are both 70+. She was my cat before we were married and a wonderful companion. We live on our large family farm in New Hampshire. Quite isolated in the Central Lakes Region. I am alone often, another reason why I enjoy cooking with Kevin. Our vet recommended that we start looking for a kitten, so we sent in applications to two local SPCAs. They have no kittens at present, but we are on the list and I am getting ready, just in case. Our vet is also looking. Cats can have varied human relationships. My Noel was a family member. I will harness train this kitten and she will go everywhere with me! Her name will be Bella, in honor of my Noella Bella. I understand this is the circle of life, but still difficult. Your words and Kevin's videos really brighten my day! ~ Diane
Mr Jacobs you have just become my new favorite! I needed tea sandwiches and had tried several but they did not satisfy me. But your tea sandwich video was easy, perfect and fit for a queen. They made my afternoon tea perfect. And since then I have watched many of your videos
Great recipe ideas. I like that you include low carb ideas. I used to have some hens when I had my hobby farm in Hants County Nova Scotia Canada in the nineties. They wandered around the property eating grubs and vegetation returning to roost in the barn with warmth of the horses, I had 2.I augmented their diet with hormone free scratch grains. The eggs were WONDERFUL, the hens were happy and had a rooster to keep them in line and sometimes I had a broody hen who produce chicks.I loved this lifestyle for 9 years. But with animals your travel plans need more planning and there's a lot of work, I was in my forties now, in my seventies I want more traveling and less work.
Happy New Year to you and Mr. Fox and the critters too. Best wishes for a New Year full of fragrant and lush gardens, wonderful road trips, happy healthy fur babies, and best of all music music music. You briefly mentioned a wish for chickens. Coincidentally, over Christmas weekend three chickens wandered on to my tiny farm and happily took up residence. After posting a "found three chickens" note on gossip/rumor central aka the local quick-mart store bulletin board but with no responses, well, here they stay. Tame, friendly, no eggs this time of year of course, maybe spring? Now learning so much about chickens and enjoying the process as they have SUCH personalities! If you do decide to acquire chickens for eggs or just for entertainment and also keeping the slugs cleared out of your veggie garden next year, there's a PBS show called Welcome to My Farm. Show is anchored by the most knowledgeable chicken person ever - highly recommend it, and the associated website is a treasure trove of chicken lore. I will be making the breakfast casserole for tomorrow's breakfast -- and for lunch today the burrito, and with sundried tomatoes for seasoning. Cheers Kevin you are the BEST!
I like to eat for breakfast, French toast. Very carb friendly. About 1/2 cup egg beaters A scant 1/8 t Steve’s A scant 1/8 t vanilla A scant 1/8 t cinnamon Dip in 2 pieces of keto bread Fry until brown on each side. Light syrup, 3 carbs for 2 T. I use 2 T. On each piece of toast. It’s like I get my cake and eat it too. Delicious, I promise!
Thanks for the brilliant ideas Kevin...I may be naughty and take them to work for lunch..Im a theatre nurse and need nourishing food!!! Happy New Year my amigo xxxx
Happy New Year Kevin, Mr Fox and the wonderful fur babies. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Sad to see the holidays end but glad to get back to regular living. Thank you for posting this video, as always it's wonderful to visit with you and enjoy your gracious company.
I love these recipes and appreciate your “plan ahead meals”. Thank you! I hope you & Mr. Fox had a wonderful holiday and may 2023 bring you happiness, good health and lots of views on your delightful channel!
I was making blueberry pancakes the other day, and I usually pour on the batter on the hot pan and then drop in the blueberries on the cooking pancakes; but I noticed if you mix in the blueberries while in the bowl, and then stir, it creates these very fancy purple/blue swirls, that make the pancakes look very elegant.---must be frozen blueberries
I can’t get enough of you, lol. I’ve recommended you to a girlfriend, and now we mix a cocktail in your honour, light a candle, put flowers in a vase and exchange Jacobisms ❤❤❤ and oh, that keto casserole is divine with feta and spinach pairing ❤❤❤
Please keep coming up with these freezer meals… I’m so busy and I have to bring my mom food too… would love it if you would do more breakfast and some lunches like this that I can bring my mom.., and I can eat on my way out the door… I’m so glad I found you.., everyday I watch something of yours on You Tube.., and you make everything look so easy… really love and adore you.❤
the oatmeal bars are perfect for my husband on the go-(can even eat on the tractor) will substitute the honey with pure stevia(hubby needs to watch sugar) and make the honey version for the rest of us. I froze 12 gallon bags of blueberries this summer- this will help use some of them up- also may add some slivered almonds and for the grands I may add chocolate chips- because Grandmas house always involves chocolate lol
Happy New Year! Wonderful ideas for quick but satisfying breakfasts. I can't decide which one I like the best. Some days I don't feel like making breakfast. Other days, like on the weekend, I will make something like pancakes or waffles. I will eat bacon once in awhile. Sometimes I make breakfast for dinner. I start my day with a strong cup of coffee with half-n-half. Then I might make some form of eggs, fresh fruit, and maybe a crust of toast. My late sister used to make scrambled eggs with cream cheese and chopped, sauteed red onions. She always said, slow and low when cooking the eggs. If not eggs, I might make old fashioned oatmeal, with nuts, raisins , honey or maple syrup. I have been known to make a big batch of pancakes and freeze half of them. The baked oatmeal looked to be very healthy, yet satisfying. Kind of checks all of the boxes. I will make it.♥️🫐🥞☕
Hooray! Breakfast is always a problem for me. Problem solved - kudos. Try a little salsa with the breakfast burrito. Yum! Thank you, Kevin. You continue to amaze me.
Kevin, the ideas you presented for breakfasts on the go look so good! I especially like the oatmeal bake, the casserole, and burrito. I can see it being so easy to pour up a coffee, grab an item (or two) and make it to the office with time to spare. Fast food chains cannot compete for homemade deliciousness. Can you imagine what it would cost for a helping of breakfast casserole? Not to mention the time and fuel spent waiting in line! Terrific ideas, thanks Kevin!
Kevin, my husband and I had 2 backyard chickens for over 8 years and had fresh eggs all that time. Plus the girls, Mabel and Barbara were sweet little hens with lots of personality. Our little dog and the hens became close friends and even dozed together on the lawn in the sun. In any case you might explore getting 2 pullets as egg prices go up. We're called our girls " pets with benefits". I loved being a chicken momma. Great video today. You worked hard. Everything delicious.
I made a batch as directed, and everyone LOVES them! I cut them into 32 pieces and froze them for serving size flexibility. I just made a batch with rehydrated, sweetened cranberries for a harvest flavor, and they turned out just as delicious! Thank you, Kevin! ❤
Thank you for the oatmeal recipe, I will be making very soon, I am always glad to get meat free recipes. One thing I keep on hand in the freezer is homemade biscuits, I make 2 dozen biscuits, let them cool and freeze 2 biscuits per container. We are vegetarians and I keep meat free plant based products on hand/ Beyond Meat/Impossible products so a breakfast biscuits using these would be great. Many thanks ~
That baked oatmeal looks delicious but first I will try the breakfast casserole but remove the bacon and add sundried tomatoes for a veggie version. Thanks Kevin 🤗🏴
Love the channel. I do the intermittent fasting or try very hard to. I don't eat any sugar, sugar substitutes, flour or flour substitutes. In short I'm boring. For breakfast I eat a raw slaw of a medley of blender-minced cruciferous veggies. Cauliflower, collards, cabbage. Sometimes I mince up cooked chicken breast and toss it in.
What a good idea, Kevin, I have never thought of pre-making breakfasts before, as not having anything tasty ready means you end up eating toast again.☹️
I love it !!! My husband and I make some breakfast casserole ahead of time with eggs and blueberry sausage from our market , but I absolutely love the blueberry oatmeal casserole ,burritos and pancakes with egg and bacon…..what a great !!! Idea for us 😋 Thank you so very much for stimulating my senses with something new, and thank you for all the work you do.Blessings to you and Mr. Fox 🤗😘🥰
Happy New Year. Great breakfast ideas. My favorite is yogurt, fresh blueberries and homemade granola sprinkled with fresh lemon peel. My next favorite is whole wheat English muffin with peanut butter and a good lingonberry jam. My must have daily mocha I make at home. Thankfully I have a good espresso machine.
Thanks for your ideas. You asked for what we eat for breakfast. I like your granola with Greek yogurt. We like an English muffin, a vegetarian breakfast patty, with a poached egg. But I will add what you've done to my list. I didn't know one could freeze scrambled eggs. Interesting.
Happy and healthy 2023, Kevin🌷Looks delish! I love breakfast with toast (“your” bread) and eggs. And I can’t believe people having breakfast at/from McD’s. The queues are the same over here. I hope it’s for the coffee 😂 I’d way more love an option like you showed when in a hurry. So tasty, healthy and easy to grab along.
These are great recipes, Kevin! I am just making the oatmeal/blueberry bake, and considering making the burritos too! I love things like frittata's and 'chuck and bake' recipes that I can put together and bake while I have my tea on the weekends. One of my go-to's are huevos ranchero's too. A great day-starter! My grandma used to make these eggs when we were kids and I love them. On really cold November winter mornings, I love to make creamy cornmeal with butter and milk served with roasted butternut squash or pumpkin. It's gorgeous!
Happy New Year Kevin. I hope you and Mr Fox had a lovely holiday. I prefer savory breakfast dishes and don't eat pork or dairy cheese. Usually I have left over supper for breakfast or my favorite morning food is warm rice with shredded purple cabbage, dill and sesame. These recipes have given me some ideas for customization but I'm definitely going to give breakfast freezer meals idea a try.
I DO have chickens and sell the excess eggs ($3. a dozen for large to extra large) to go toward the feed and bedding! It isn't a break even proposition, but I enjoy the process and the chickens, so it is worth it to me! I love your videos and have been a fan for a decade! You brighten my day no matter what you show: gardening, decorating, or cooking! You are one multi talented guy!!!
Happy New Year Kevin and Mr Fox, Avery , Binky, Tiger in heaven. Did I miss anyone? I’m especially eager to try your baked oatmeal. Thank you for the inspiration and for sharing the calmness of your lovely family home.
Happy new year! Lots of great ideas. I don't like to eat much first thing so generally have a bowl of fruit with tea. Then an hour or two later I might make oatmeal for the hubs and I, or a bowl of corn grits topped with two sunny side up eggs. Wishing you and everyone here peace and joy in the new year. 💕
Happy Spring! You’ve just made my day! I just found your grab-and-go breakfast video. What a gift 🎉. Retired and eating very light and early in the evenings -making good use of your lovely main meals around 2 pm - we are hungry by 6:30 or 7 am and in no mood to wait while fixing breakfast. But ache for something tasty with a protein (eggs!). Make ahead! Thank you! Carol, Richmond, VA
I’m sick of trying to work out seperate meals for me (vegetarian) and my husband (meat eater) perfect 👍 same meal, half with bacon, half without. Thanks Kevin. You must have a HUGE freezer though, I would never fit all that in mine. Im not fancy with breakfast, I just have toast with good old Australian vegemite. ❤️Jodie from Down Under, and Happy New Year 🥳
Fantastic recipes Kevin, I will try the oatmeal and the breakfast casserole. May you and the “fantastic Mr Fox” have a peaceful, joyous and happy New Year with family and friends, old and new. Your videos are really enjoyable, always interesting and entertaining. Love to you both, today and everyday.
I believe that you covered my breakfasts! I usually have buckwheat pancakes or steel cut gluten-free oats topped with plain homemade yogurt, cinnamon, organic honey or maple syrup, fruit, and raw pumpkin seeds. I'm also a big fan of nut butter and preserves or jam toast. Thanks for the great recipes!
Thank you Kevin. For breakfast on work days I like to have homemade granola and espresso. My husband is the breakfast cook and he has it ready for me when I get out of the shower. On the weekends, he makes eggs with my homemade sourdough bread. I’m happy that you are using less plastic!
I have done the blueberry oatmeal bars twice already. The second time I added toasted walnuts. It is a yummy quick breakfast that is easy and straightforward enough for someone like me. Thank you so much Kevin. This is a big help.
Happy new Year, Mr Kevin. Is it possible to post the classical music you use in your videos ? It is always so nice to listen to. Have a splendid day. ✨️
Happy new year, Kevin! So nice to see you. I’m definitely going to make these breakfast items! One of my favorite things to eat in the morning is avocado toast. Good crusty Italian bread , a little red onion and some avocado, then drizzled with Saratoga fig balsamic vinegar! So good. I’m so happy to see you again! Love you channel. Sending love from Boston!
Happy New Year Kevin and the “gang” @ your house. it is 2023 already , and i came for your baked oatmeal recipe. I am just thrilled at all of your recipes for breakfasts in this video. ❤Thank you. You are making me so hungry.
Happy New Year to you and Mr. Fox! I think these recipes are going to help a lot of people with their New Year’s resolutions. Each of these recipes are wonderful and I will try each of them. Typically I like to eat hot cereal for breakfast. Right now I am eating cream of wheat, but when I get tired of that I will switch to oatmeal.
My five minute breakfast! A piece of bread, I take a large biscuit cutter and cut out middle of bread then crack an egg in the middle and cook then with it I cook the round bread I cut out and when done I dip the round bread in the yoke of the egg and eat then eat the rest. Sometimes I save the round bread circle and make English muffin without the muffin in place of it I use the bread circles yum! I use the bread circles make different looking tea sandwiches.
Happy new year Kevin and family, thanks for all of the loveliness over this year.🎊 FYI my Christmas present to my self “Kevin’s Kitchen 100 recipes” is on its way to me and I’m patiently waiting, excited to see it arrive ........................ are you thinking of maybe doing a volume II with some of your wonderful lifestyle stuff included ?
Happy New Year to you and Mr. Fox, Kevin! I'm so delighted that you have this new breakfast video out. I've watched ALL of your previous videos several times over, yearning for some new content from you. These breakfast recipes look delish and are my kind of breakfasts! Now I'm excited to anticipate a new batch of your amazing videos now that the New Year is here. Thank you Kevin. Cheers! (Judy - Ontario, Canada)
I finally got round to making the baked oatmeal bars - but I used some chocolate drops instead of blueberries, as my daughter doesn't like blueberries. They were really good. I have put them in the freezer and will take one out each day for work - I work in a school so we have a set break time. I will make them again soon and use blueberries! Really good to have something wholesome and not too sweet. Kevin, thank you for putting the amounts in grammes and converting the temperature too! PS The recipe printed off very nicely too. 😊

Thank you especially as we are now gluten free at our house and not all gluten free recipes are as yummy looking or as easy to make. Thank you for encouraging a healthy, hearty, and ready made start to our day!
Hey Kevin, I was glad to see this post up today. I've been regularly checking and wondering if you were either sick or on a vacation? Hope you had a great holiday and Happy New Year to you both. Your yellow roses are beautiful by the way. My orchids are making their winter show and I put one out like you do your roses. We went to AZ and I watched a local restaunteur make breakfast burritos. Her's were the best I've ever had. I go to a food truck and buy their fresh made burrito skins, this makes all the difference .. Just love these for breakfast, so easy to make and heat up for a quick breakfast. Thanks for your version.
A very Happy New Year to you and Mr. Fox! These are all very good freezer meals - I find they make mornings a lot easier! My son lives with me and until he gets another car, I'm driving him to and from work. Breakfast freezer meals are delicious and seriously uncomplicate my mornings. Another advantage is that you control the portions and quality of the ingredients. Fast food restaurants may offer breakfast choices, but most are compromised in some way, either by too much salt, fats, sugars, transfats, and/or substandard ingredients. Making your own, more nutritious meals is the loving thing to do for yourself and your family.
I love your videos! You feel like an old comfortable friend inviting us to your house to share your great ideas for cooking and other household duties. Thank you!❤

Hello Mr. Jacobs, All of these meals look delicious but I'm going to try making the oatmeal one first. Wow, that looked especially good! I love your suggestion to put a little maple syrup on top too. Also, just have to mention that your kind eyes looked especially blue with your blue shirt! Nice!

The items are varied and convenient depending on ones schedule.
Thank you
That baked oatmeal looks delicious but first I will try the breakfast casserole but remove the bacon and add sundried tomatoes for a veggie version. Thanks Kevin 🤗🏴
Oohhhhhh...the oatmeal bars are like a fluffy, breakfast version of an English flapjack! 🥰
Fox 🤗😘🥰
I would make in muffin tins! 😊
I hope it’s for the coffee 😂
I’d way more love an option like you showed when in a hurry. So tasty, healthy and easy to grab along.
Good to watch you again. Glad that you are switching to glass. Avoid all plastics possible.
Excellent ideas, thank you for making life simple.
Happy 2023 Kevin. ❤
Your show is better than any tv cooking shows!
Appreciate the keto recipes!!!! Thanks, Kevin!
Lucky Mr. Fox. A ll those dishes looked wonderful. You make everything look so easy !. Thank you. ❤
These are great ideas for prepping breakfast and lots of variety. Yummy!
Every recipe is a winner! Thank you for sharing these. They will all be tried in my house. Happy New Year.
Happy New Year Kevin and Mr Fox, Avery , Binky, Tiger in heaven. Did I miss anyone? I’m especially eager to try your baked oatmeal. Thank you for the inspiration and for sharing the calmness of your lovely family home.
Happy new year 🎉, Wow these are wonderful recipes again 👏👏👏
What an elegant finish to this video. And delicious of course. Have a very healthy and happy New year, and not too much snow.
Happy New Year, dear Kevin.♥️♥️
I hope it is not too late to wish you a Happy, Healthy and Beautiful 2023! May you have 100 thousands subscribers soon!
💋❤❤🥂🍾🕛 happy new year kevin!!!
A very Happy 2023 to you Kevin and thank you for these wonderful recipe ideas. X
I have done the blueberry oatmeal bars twice already. The second time I added toasted walnuts. It is a yummy quick breakfast that is easy and straightforward enough for someone like me. Thank you so much Kevin. This is a big help.
Happy New Year, lots of joy and peace for the new year Kevin. Loved this video.
You have a lovely smile, Mr Kevin
Happy new Year, Mr Kevin.
Is it possible to post the classical music you use in your videos ? It is always so nice to listen to. Have a splendid day. ✨️
Happy New Year Kevin! I hope your New Year is filled with good health and great happiness for you and Mr.. Fox.
These are great recipes & so handy (& healthy).
These look great! Happy New Year.
Happy New Year, Kevin. Fantastic breakfast ideas. I'm always so tired in the morning, my brain doesn't work. So nice with easy breakfast. Thank you
Happy New Year! I love make ahead brunch meals.
Do you grate your cheese from a bock? If so how do you keep it from clumping?
I only have a piece of toast with marmalade or something light on it. I never liked much in the morning even when i was working.
Happy new year Kevin and family, thanks for all of the loveliness over this year.🎊
FYI my Christmas present to my self “Kevin’s Kitchen 100 recipes” is on its way to me and I’m patiently waiting, excited to see it arrive ........................ are you thinking of maybe doing a volume II with some of your wonderful lifestyle stuff included ?
Hope you enjoy the cookbook!
Cheers!

Such a helpful supply of information and tasty looking, make-ahead breakfast ideas.
Happy New Year to you and yours.
Super color blue shirt with your eyes and the yellow flowers.
I enjoy your presentation style and content preparation so much, I’d probably enjoy watching you make a mud pie! 😂
Your spoiling Mr Fox....all great ideas!
Thank you, these frozen breakfasts are 👌 excellent
Thank you so much Kevin. The best wishes for you and Mr. Fox and a happy new year. Greetings from Germany 😊
Thank you especially as we are now gluten free at our house and not all gluten free recipes are as yummy looking or as easy to make.
Thank you for encouraging a healthy, hearty, and ready made start to our day!
Happy New Year’s! I usually skip breakfast since I intermittent fast, but this meals are great for anytime of day! Thank you!❤
Hey Kevin, I was glad to see this post up today.
Thank you!❤
Great selection of breakfast meals, Kevin! So many wonderful ideas and inspiration! Look forward to seeing many more videos in this new year! Happy New Year to you!
I need to make breakfast like these! I'm one who never has enough time to make breakfast before work. So I usually settle for a cup of coffee. Happy New Year, to you and Mr. Fox!
I like these breakfast ideas...We do have chickens & yes the eggs are tasty. Happy New years to you to both.
Hello Mr. Jacobs,
All of these meals look delicious but I'm going to try making the oatmeal one first. Wow, that looked especially good! I love your suggestion to put a little maple syrup on top too. Also, just have to mention that your kind eyes looked especially blue with your blue shirt! Nice!
OK, so I need to get off my duff and take the time to do this! Grocery list, here we go. Thanks, Kevin!
