Kevin...You bring peace and joy to a very chaotic world. I love your channel and am so happy I found you. Keep up the great work you bring youtube viewers. Your beautiful soul truly shines through each video. 🙂
I always love watching your videos. Not only do I get GREAT recipes and tips, but I am reminded, by you, that there is grace, honor and love inherent in keeping a great home and cooking from scratch for those you love. What could possibly be sweeter or more important? Thank you.
thank you, Kevin. I really appreciate your very simple unpretentious way of presenting yourself; the meals you make; the baking treats! I wish you to continue to bless youtube with this good, gentle content toward your many viewers! May you know God's presence...and blessing! You are special
Kevin, you are such a joy to watch. Very soothing and therapeutic. Your home is just as lovely as can be and you and Mr. Fox have decorated it beautifully. Your garden and grounds are such a treat to see. I love how you incorporate your garden greens and flowers into bouquets in your home as well as herbs in your dishes. I love taking trips with you to the general store and your coop houses. I miss New England so much. But I feel I am there when I watch you. Blessings.
I just can’t get enough of Kevin. He has become a guilty pleasure of mine. I find Kevin comforting and quite captivating. I just really like his presence.
Kevin, I am watching you more and more. Less time for stressful, news, movies, or talking to people that are negative. I love the way you and mr. Fox love your animals. You are good, and kind and calming.
Dear Kevin, 50 000 subscribers! That's so awesome. Congratulations!! Soon there will be 100 000. Thank you for inviting us to spend the day with you. It was realy lovely. I love seeing your fur baby in your video's. Will definitely give these recipes a try. Thank you so much. Have a wonderful weekend. Sending love and tons of blessings.
Dear Kevin! I love you peaceful tone of your voice. You are helping me a lot to practice and understand English language! I am your fan of your lovely videos! Than you so much😊😊❤
In my experience, mayonnaise in France is a lot more savoury than in other places. Maybe due to it containing lots of Dijon mustard. I wouldn't use such strong mayo for this recipe
I live in Northern Canada Kevin & very close to a Mennonite community. I take a run every month to visit the shops & farms! Soon they will be tapping into the maple tree's for syrup. I so love that time of year! Thank you for taking us along on your shopping trip, My mom always made that cake & I usually bake it as a birthday cake, So moist & delicious ! Thank you again for sharing your day with us! Much appreciated Kevin!
Rosalind D- Greetings from our farm in Central Lakes ⛵⛵ New Hampshire! - We border Canada and I wish we were closer to an Amish store. Actually, we are not close to anything! Nearest Cosco is hours away. I have to stock up our two farm properties to last for long periods. My best friend lives in Maine, just over the North Conway, N.H.border. There is an Amish store near her that I buy from when visiting. At least my neighbors make maple syrup. We buy honey from a neighboring farm, as well as organic chicken, pork and eggs. We raise grass fed beef and have organic gardens. A challenge with a zone 4B growing season. I can't wait to try Kevin's cake! ~ Diane
Dearest Kevin. You make us feel as if we really know you and are an honored guest in your home being pampered and served with your sweet presence and delicious food, all made with love! Thank you for treating us to a ride with you in your car on a shopping run, as I love watching the scenery!
That cake my mom gave the recipe to my daughter when she was young maybe 10 or 12 years old. She made it for a party we went to everyone thought I had made it! That's how good it turned out and how easy it was to make! She is 30 years old now and we still talk about that party!
Kevin, thank you for taking us through your days with you. I don’t know if you realize the difference you make in my life and many others. Your voice is comforting and I always feel loved when watching your videos. You are a very special person.
I love the episode where you played the piano. So beautiful. You are truly the most unique gentleman. Mr Fox is a lucky gentleman to have you in his life. Thank you for your relaxing videos, I love them all. ❤
I really enjoyed seeing your day Kevin ! That Mennonite store looked so homely and inviting , your chocolate cake look gorgeous and that dinner that you made has now made me hungry ....... I also had to laugh when you said , ' So I won't need a face lift ..yet ! ' ( I think we can all relate ) 😅 Thankyou
The Mennonite store looks wonderful! I live in a small country town in the UK and we are lucky enough to have two small shops selling a good many interesting spices, and types of flour, etc. but nothing on the scale of your General Store. I used to visit the NE London area of Stoke Newington/Clapton quite regularly where there are a number of Turkish families and some similar stores specialising in their favoured products as well as day go day items, their bread being particularly good. Recently you posted a recipe for tomato pie which I hope to try, having found a recipe for buttermilk biscuits. I do however make something similar for which I invented the recipe, having bought some very tasty little tartlets, which later seemed to be unavailable. This is what I call Mediterranean Tart which I make in pie plate on a thinnish crisp pastry base (using an egg) topped with ratatouille chopped quite small and not too moist and covered with a mixture not unlike the mayonnaise & cheese but made by mixing yoghurt, grated cheese and egg together. This has always been well received and the recipe requested. It needs really the best olive oil you can find and/or afford! The pastry recipe can be found in Elizabeth David's Quiche Lorraine in French Provincial Cookery. I don't have many tea parties these days and don't have much of a taste for sweet things, so I have yet to try the chocolate mayo. cake which sounds lovely. Your serene videos are just a pleasure in themselves but keep coming up with your healthy and inventive receipts.
The visit to the Mennonite store reminds me of Amish stores that we have in Ohio -- very similar, and are unique and fun! I enjoy when you "take us shopping" with you. The cake looks delish, and the main course very tempting. You give me incentive to clean (LOL). Great video as always, Kevin -- thanks!
Congratulations Kevin, you deserve all the success. Your content is so thoughtful and calming. So happy more people will be enjoying it. Looks like you’ll hit 50,000 this weekend. ❤
Kevin, I am so thrilled to see you approaching 50,000 subscribers! You have such a calm, unpretentious way about you. Your videos are so relaxing and I can feel myself breathing easier as I watch. I love these “day-in-the-life” style vlogs. That cabbage recipe looks really interesting and easy to make. Going to add that to my KLJ recipe library! And that cake… What can I say except that it looks divine. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. I always smile when I see you have posted a new video.
Once again Kevin, waking up from a stressful day teaching, you are a stress reliever. I so admired your sweet sensational voice and your excellent appearance. God blessed to you & Mr. Fox. Fantastic chocolate cake from 1930.👏🏽❤️🙏🏽
What a joy to see you after the longest day, made your zucchini casserole, so nice to come home too I surprised myself how nice it was so thank you dear Kevin you really are a a prince among men. For the 1st time bought myself some flowers and arranged them like you do old fashioned flowers hyacinth, tulips and daffodils ❤
Hi Kevin, This was an awesome video, I loved every part of it. So thankful to see a recent one. The first chenille bedspread was made in my hometown of Dalton, GA. A lady with the last name Whitener (my maiden name) made it and started the chenille bedspread business. Dalton became the chenille bedspread capital of the world. In later years the manufacturers changed from making bedspreads to carpet. Dalton is now the carpet capital of the world. When I was growing up there were over 200 different manufacturers of carpet in Dalton, including my father’s business. Just thought you might be interested in this bit of history since you have a chenille bedspread. Aloha from Tennessee
Oh boy! I'd have a very hard time leaving that store without breaking the bank. All those goodies! The cake looks perfect, think I'll make it on Valentines day for my grandkids. Thanks for another lovely visit, take care and thanks for all you do.
I would love to have you as my chef, you are such a fabulous homemaker, and cook.I absolutely love your raspberry colored walls in the living room, gorgeous.
Kevin, I love that you freeze so many of your foods. Would you share how you freeze items. I know it sounds silly, but I''m always interested in how others freeze stuff. Food is nice to have available for guests. Thanks
Dear Kevin…please don’t be alarmed…that sound is me squealing!! What a day! I loved every minute from making the bed to your work out and shopping in the Mennonite store that will surely plant sugarplums dancing in my dream’s tonight. Really, really appreciate the skillet dinner as I love everything in it. I will be making that pre- WWII chocolate cake as well. Is that wine Cupcake? What a treasure you are ☺️ I so look forward to your weekly videos 😊 Thank you so much!! By the way…your skin is beautiful; don’t need to worry about face lifts.
I buy beef from the Amish. The first year I was married 57 years ago I use to bake mayo cakes.I lived on the farm and didn't go to the store often I had to bake from scratch.
Congratulations on 50k subscribers! You deserve so many more too. The Amish market looked wonderful for baking supplies! The chocolate mayo cake looked so moist and delicious with the butter cream frosting and the keto meal looked easy and delicious. I bought some broccoli slaw the other day and made something very similar.
Thank you for the lovely video! These "spend the day" videos are such a great combo of inspiration and relaxation. And just to say-- your workouts are showing! Your posture is totally changing! Good for you for taking care of yourself-- yet another inspiration. All this to say: you have a fan.
i love to collect cookbooks and i have some very old ones-- i will read a cookbook like someone else reads a novel-some of the best dishes come out of these old books and most can be changed a bit to fit todays ingredients--i get them at yard sales/junk stores etc.--love how you find some great "lost" recipes!!!!
Thank you Kevin, I'm watching you from Germany and it's very interesting for me to see what recipes you have, everything looks super delicious and is worth trying to cook, I'll definitely do that, thanks for your videos, who i love very much
I must have hit a good UA-cam algorithm. The last few days I have found many channels like this one, with amiable people and simple, but high quality content on their channels. Cheers, dear sir. 🥂
Looking back at when Kevin hit 50K subscribers. This video includes a lot of fun, a trip to the store and wonderful cake and dinner. Love you Kevin! ❤❤
The roses are amazing Kevin. I hope maybe one day I'll be able to talk you into playing your piano for us. If not, just keep showing it to us because it is certainly beautiful! Best wishes to you and Mr. Fox!
This was so much fun to go along with you. The piano is beautiful! And I’d never thought about adding the vinegar/water cleaning mixture to a steam cleaner. I’ve been doing my dining room on hands and knees. Getting too old for that now, lol. The Amish store looks wonderful. I’ll have to try your egg dish and was that a little Mr. Potato head I spied hiding out on the counter. Thanks again for a great video.
Great video! One thing I will miss in your upcoming summertime videos are the delightful fires in your fireplaces--what super atmosphere. It's great that you use reusable grocery bags!
Like I told you on twitter… LOVE your day in the life videos Kevin! So much peace and calm in a crazy world. Thank you for sharing your beautiful life. Appreciate you

Thank you for sharing your day with us. Your music room looks so clean a beautiful! Piano is gleaming. I hope you have some musical events with friends, as is such a lovely place for. Okay, the cake looks so delicious and yummy, there's no need for ice cream. I don't eat cake these days, but would eat that cake. Fun that you fixed a piece for me. Thank you. I forgot to mention the Amish country store. A wonderful grocery shopping experience. I could certainly kill some time in there. So many good choices. Interesting story how you discovered it. I almost thought that your cabbage skillet dish was some old Bavarian recipe until you added the queso cheese. Take care.♥️
What a wonderful day out I had with you! Thank you for sharing those delicious recipes too. Can't wait to try them both. I love the idea of cooking coleslaw which is new to me and also the mayonnaise in a cake.
Hi Kevin ! What a wonderful day thank you for sharing. Your home is so beautiful and lovingly cared for. Mayo is the "secret" ingredient in really good chocolate cake. I have a little Amish store near me that looks just like your little store. I too found yeast there when it couldn't be found anywhere else, the spice prices are great and the roll butter is SO good. In the summer the produce is right off the farm and anything I don't grow I buy from them. My grand kids like to go pick out a little bag of candy too 🥰 Oh my gosh that skillet dinner looked perfect as well. Have a wonderful weekend!
I’m so happy to see you here today. I’m a new viewer ,and have been really enjoying your older videos. The cake looks divine, must try that. I wonder if I could ask you about your face care regiment? Your skin looks wonderful. Take good care!🦋

My husband just said that...
So accurate!
As a French person, mayonnaise well well... but i might give it a try. Thank you Kevin for all the peace you bring into each of your videos
In my experience, mayonnaise in France is a lot more savoury than in other places. Maybe due to it containing lots of Dijon mustard. I wouldn't use such strong mayo for this recipe
Kevin I so appreciate all you do. Hugs!!!!!
I love chocolate mayonnaise cake. When I was young 9 or 10 years old I learned to make it and still make it 68 years later. It is a terrific receipe.

We season the potato flakes and use them to coat chicken before baking it. Yummy
