ASMR - History of Samurai

  • Hey guys,
    An ASMR video about samurai was often requested, so there you go. In this video I talk about how this class of warriors developped in Japan, their values, and their role in the Japanese society until their caste finally disappeared.
    I just saw a role play ASMR video with a katana by the remarkable Amandine Leloup (it is in English, in a soft spoken voice with an enchanting tingly accent, tracing, and comments about Japanese sabres). She is the best; make sure you check it! • Video
    As usual, your comments, suggestions and topic requests for more ASMR videos are welcome.

    I'm asleep 5 minutes onto every one of them.

      3 million years before christ? :p like even before Homo sapiens existed there was a culture in japan, cool stuff ^^ also the katana isnt really teh "best blade of all time" maybe in popular culture but not in actual history, the quality of steel used to make a katana was made by angels 600 years before the first katana. Also i'm pretty sure toledo steel was around much longer then that, the best swords of the best steel where the swords of the arabs and indians in the medieval period made of damast steel

    Great video! Japan is an incredible country. Very interesting and rich culture, and the Japanese people are some of the nicest in the world. I was surprised at how clean it was too. Especially in Tokyo, one of the largest cities in the world and the streets were spotless everywhere!! For some reason that really stood out to me.

    Holy cow, I always love your videos so much - especially the history! Your voice and pace of speech puts me on a train to ChillOutTown. :)
    I do have a footnote regarding something I've heard a couple times: sometimes you mention something as happening millions of years ago when I suspect you mean thousands? Considering anatomically modern humans only really show up two hundred thousand years ago, some of the timelines you mention leave me confused for a few seconds.

    • @TheFrenchWhispererASMR
      @TheFrenchWhispererASMR  10 років тому +1

      Thanks. Regarding the timeline, this is because I made a mistake saying millenias with an "s" and it sounded like "million years" (but now I know that it is just "millenia").

    Daisho when translated is Big and Small the knights of Japan used wakizashi or short sword katana or long sword yuri or bows yari or spears females get naginatas or glaives and then add tanegashima teppo or matchlock rifles they used them in Genpei War and Sengoku Jidai or Warring States Period. Also the Shoguns when translated to English means military governor under daimyos meaning lords just like England or France.

    Bonjour, j'ai une petite question d'ordre général, comment choisissez vous les vidéos que vous ferez en français, anglais ou autre langue? je parle du choix de la langue, mais pas du sujet, je me dois de le préciser.

    • @TheFrenchWhispererASMR
      @TheFrenchWhispererASMR  10 років тому

      en fait c'est un peu aléatoire, je fais une version française quand j'ai l'impression qu'il est temps de faire une nouvelle vidéo en français, quand le sujet est une suggestion faite par des français, ou quand une version française est demandée avec insistance. Je ferai une VF de cette vidéo d'ici à la fin de la semaine, il faut juste que je trouve le temps...

    • @david-ibis47

  • @C344C
