Adorable BABY FOX rescued from river!

- With our 'orphan season' now well underway, calls to help injured, orphaned or lost youngsters are starting to pour in. Just yesterday, Simon and Lawrie (filming) were called out to help a rather adorable young fox cub (also called a kit or pup) that had accidentally fallen over a wall and into a stream.
Whilst rescuing the youngster was an easy task, locating the earth would have proven difficult, had it not been for a very lucky encounter!

Every little bit goes towards the animals :)
What's the most exotic/rare animal you ever rescued? Do you ever get fake calls, like pranks?
@@ScarlettM Luckily we've seen very few pranks, but we've seen large snakes, Eagle owls, several exotic pets and even an escaped jaguar!
@@wildlifeaid A jaguar?! That sounds pretty scary! Haha.
@@AzzaYCF It was certainly quite different!
What does the fox say....YOU"RE GROUNDED seems he & his brother were messing around by the edge after being told ALL THEIR LIVES to stay clear but no they were too busy messing about and....That's what you get!! you think I warn you to be mean? No,! it's because I love you & protect you!.... Or something similar..
Loved the chattering at the end. 💖 It probably went something along the lines of:
*Cub:* _"Mum, I'm home! There was this peculiar old man who helped me get back..."_
*Mother:* _"Oh! You met Simon? He helped me out of quite a bind, a couple years ago~"_
Wonderful stuff. 😉
Haha! Maybe so! Small world and all that... ;)
That sounds just right lol!
😂👍
@@wildlifeaid I wonder what the Swans Talk About, Simon. Hee Hee 😊 Good Job with This Baby Fox
Cub said What? You got a free meal? All I got was a blanket.
Aww bless Simon and all the kind neighbours.
Thank you! We were so grateful for their help :)
1:26 Baby fox: "Don't get close, I kill you, grrrrrrrr..."
Simon: "All that noise, all that noise!" 😆🥰
he said hurry up simon! bring me back to my mom!
How sweet! He looked like he knew exactly where to go! Wonderful rescue!! Thank you, Simon!
We were so lucky to find his earth! Thanks for your support :)
I can almost imagine what was going on at the end, with all the chattering: "Where have you been, you little rascal? You had us worried sick!"
Haha! We would imagine it's something very similar!
“You missed breakfast. Aww, can I have a snack? “
So good, that little fella now has luck on his side.
He definitely does! Thanks very much :)
Off course it's Simon here
People are so kind here. Can people like you role the world?
Always got the most respect for you guys
when babies snap & growl to scare a threat, they dont know it just makes them more adorable- just so lovable🥰
Haha, we have to agree there ;)
I love Simon. Goodness if men In America had a heart like Simon. He is just more incredible than I have sufficient words for. He is just a remarkable man. I bet the Queen lives him too. 🦊🦊🐇🐇🐦🐦🦔🦔❤❤❤
Thanks so much, that's very kind of you! Simon was actually given an MBE on 2004 :)
“Nooooo....blanket...sooo warm......hold on. MOOOOOM?“
I love this. :)
Haha! Glad you liked it!
Oh Simon, the feeling the moment he went in is what you lived for. You will be missed my friend. 😪
One of the happiest endings! How lovely that the neighbor called over to explain where the cub came from.
Thanks! We were so lucky he came over to help!
Major props to that neighbor. That info saved a lot of struggle!
Definitely! It would have been a nightmare without him!
I just love these happy endings, :-) Glad the neighbors know each other well enough to see what's going on, as well. Great job on the ladder there Simon. See you are still as agile as a 20-year old!
We do too! We were VERY lucky here!
Haha thank you!
The world needs more people like you. THANKYOU for all you do. You make this world that little bit better.
YAY !!!!!
That is a rescue that I really, really like !
The neighbors were so kind .
I have to admit thought that I laughed when that tiny kit tried to scare Simon off lol .
Only makes him cuter !
And oh my did he appreciate the towel !
Thank you so much for all your do WAF team ! Hugs to all .
Haha thank you! Glad you liked it! We were so lucky the kind neighbours stepped in to help :)
Wow @2:10 I bet you wish all rescues came with an awesome neighbor who just pops out and gives you the answers. What a friendly guy.
Haha, it would certainly be very useful! He was so lovely to help us out :)
I can't be the only one shedding a tear, that chattering was fabulous.
It was amazing to hear :)
So cute! When he is set down on the ground, he is struggling, as he had just gotten used to this strange big fox being so nice to him! 😄🥰
Haha we do often wonder what they must think when released!
maybe he needed to spend one day in the vet to check if he is ok, his walk was dodgy, maybe hypothermia
@@nadiasartscrafts4528 Don't worry, he was checked in the car before release. That wobbly walk is normal for a fox cub of that age :)
@@wildlifeaid ❤️🦊🥰
I don't like them
Wonderful rescue! Very street smart cub, feisty first and then taking all the advantage of a warm towel and Simon's lap, hehe. I'm glad he/she made it back home!
Thanks very much! we were so glad it went this well!
What a great family reunion! Just wonderful!
Thanks very much!
It was so great of that neighbour to come out and let you know where the cub belonged! It was also nice to hear he tried to help the cub. Great out come!
It was amazing to see him come out to help! He really helped this little one get home :)
This was a wonderful rescue and release. The rescue was not traumatic, actually quite warm amd soothing for the little one and the release so soft and calm that he found his family immediately. Great work, comes with stacks of experience and love for animals.💚💚
Thanks so much, that's very kind of you to say!
Thanks
That was quite lucky indeed that the neighbour popped up right in the nick of time. ❤🦊
Thank you! We got very lucky!

Well done neighbour and family for calling. Great outcome
Thanks so much! We were so lucky for the help :)
I enjoy listening to all of them speaking English so properly.
Haha, thank you!
This is one of my favorite episodes. Everyone helping a baby fox find his mom.
I like it that the pup was willing to trust Simon so quickly.
I loved hearing the chatting at the end! Great work, Simon!
We did too! Thanks so much :)
Precious little cubby! So glad you got a hint of where to release him. Good people, good rescue! Thank you!
Thank you, we were so glad too! Thanks for the support :)

Simons smile at the end 🤗

Ridiculously cute and a great ending. Sounds like his mum & dad were having words. Sent to bed with out his breakfast (as opposed to supper) 😂😂❤️❤️
Haha maybe so :P
Little squeeklet should be named Lucky because hes lucky to have wonderful people who care for him like Simon ♡♡♡
Thanks so much :)
Awe. Cute. 🦊 Fox

SO WHOLESOME I CAN'T STAND IT
Foxes are my favourites! Lovely chance that they weren't far from their home.
They are some of ours too but don't tell! ;)
@@wildlifeaid Except for Simon, who's a badger person :D

Thanks for the support :)
One of the best WAF rescues I've seen. Minimal stress to the critter.
What a perfect ending to a call out! Now the baby will be reunighzed with its mum and will soon have a nice warm and full belly! Just as it should be. Well done!
Thanks so much. We were delighted with how this one went!
Aren't fox kits just the sweetest??!!
They really are!
Oh, that poor wee kit!
So glad to hear the happy chattering when they got home.
So were we! He was so lucky the kind neighbours helped us out :)

I really love this one, it takes a village 🥰 and the happiest ending you could hope for
Special people on this earth just to help animals thank you
Thank you.
The angel must be smile to see your good deed.
Thanks so much :)
Simon, I always love the names you come up with for the animals. Little Squeak 💕
Haha thank you :)
Really Great!
GOD KEEP BLESSING YOU ALL!!!!!!!!
Thank you sir
Can't believe such a kind old man shares a first and last name with someone who's career is built upon crushing people's dreams
Each time I see one of your videos, I am surprised and touched by the kindness of the people you meet. I am french. Here people don't call to help a pigeon but pour Bleach in their nest because "they are just flying rats". Seeing these two adorable men trying to help this little fox cub, and hearing something like "my neighbor got an artificial nest in his garden" like it is normal warms my heart. I wish people were less stupid and cruel in my country. I love your work and each of your video. Thank you for beeing yourselves
This channel srsly makes me believe in humanity
Thanks so much :)
What a lucky chance. So glad the neighbour said something
We were so lucky he helped us out!
What I like is that there seems to be a knot of neighbourly people who don't regard foxes as vermin, and take an interest in them. That warmed my heart.
That was sooo sweet. Thank you
Woah this is a very well earned rescue, you worked hard! Well done, Mr fox rescued 🦊🥰
Thanks so much. We were so glad it went this well!
How wonderful and watching I know there is hope for the world ..Such a wonderful team effort .Sherlock Holmes Simon and co you ,worked it out superbly ..As for the little fox cub what a lovely animal .Great work 👍🦊

It's certainly an adorable sound!
What a great group of neighbours!

Thanks so much :)
Wow! The gods of fate were definitely on your side that day. Great job.
We were so lucky! Thanks for the support :)
He thought he sounded scary😍
I had to see what happened to the poor thing. Glad he made it home.
Made my evening seeing that.
You are so right Simon. I remember you doing a fox cub rescue in a brooke just like this. Well done in finding the den for this little one. Nice rescue-realise
wasn't it almost in the same spot ?
Well remembered!
Thanks so much :)
Oops I meant to say rescue and release and not rescue and realise lol

This little guy seems to be growing up in a good neighborhood
So adorable. Glad you could help that cub find its way back home. Luckily it wasn't too far away. Must have been very frightening for it.
Thanks very much. Hopefully he feels a lot better now :)
PEOPLE AT THEIR ABSOLUTE BEAST THAT REALLY WAS A THING OF BEAUTY
Fabulous... what a lovely man
"I've got a pair of gloves." Proceeds to grab the fox cub without putting on the gloves.... Nice job, Simon!

Your all so amazing!! Thank you for helping the little kit back home....🦊🧡
Another great job done Simon 😊
Thank you for saving that little cub 😊👍💕
Thanks so much for your support! :)
It's amazing how docile the cub was when let go, after initially being hostile.
We often wonder what they think when they are let go! This little one seemed not to believe we weren't a threat!
I love happy endings and this sounded like one of them, so well done Simon and all the neighbours who had done their bit
Smashing. He's home again.
awwww...that was so so sweet!! You guys are so needed! All baby animals are so cute and very precious.....Thank you!
