I hope Jedi 3 isn't bad, Fallen Order and Survivor were two of my favorite games in the last 10 years and two of the best star wars games I've ever played.

Not surprising, when bad games and situations occur, that’s all you hear about. EA is a decent company once you get past all the negativity that is constantly pushed to the forefront by every article and creator.

Sucks a little because this was a legitimately good series and now not only has one of the key figures left, he’s also dragged along some lead devs. That puts the third game in the series in an even worse place
As much as I would love to get Jedi 3, I'd would choose a new studio being helmed by this team every single time. Their work has earned my trust and even if they don't make star wars games they are capable of making something incredible
How? I think you’re misunderstanding. He left and took with him some other devs that worked on fallen order and survivor. And “this was?” Buddy these are two of the best Star Wars games ever. Don’t say “this was”. It’s disrespectful to the devs who worked on the two games.
With the fact that EA withdraws from Star Wars games completley there are giant oportunities for Respawn veterans. Imagine their experience on Titanfall and Apex being put into Battlefront 3, with lightsaber gameplay similar to Jedi: Series.

Not likely. Multiplayer FPS games are very different than single player RPG/action-adventure/metroidvania/soulslikes, or whatever the hell you call the genre the jedi series is.
Point being, their team is not build to make a battlefront or battlefront-like game. It ain't happening.

i feel like for good lightsaber duels, youd have to use something similar to for honor but less spammy and more fluent for a game that has both shooting and duelling in a combat zone

Disney's increased licensing fees have got to be prohibitive for new studios like this. Surely this will be in unreal though so they've got that going for them. Excited to see what comes of this.

Here’s my hopes for Jedi 3: multiple colour customisation (ie a dual saber with a green and blue blade). Lowkey kinda wanna see tattooine, speeders, being able to drive actual speeders (with like aim assist so u don’t crash into walls constantly)
Most you're gonna get is a speeder on rails much like the ATAT sequence in the first game.
Multiple color customization is one of the dumbest things ever... looks terrible and cheesy
I agree with the lightsaber customization it would be nice to have the option to change each blade color.

I'd like to see them finish the second game properly before they make a third one. I have a high end gaming PC and it still looks pretty rough no matter what settings I change.

This is personally good. I love single player action adventure games. The Jedi Games were right up my alley.
I think what the studio means is they have an understanding of what game genre they are going to make but have not yet decided anything else so no story no mechanics no concepts everything is just starting out. Think of it as a ball of clay that is getting ready to be moulded. But this studio does look very promising it's been a while since a new studio popped on my radar so I'm excited to see what there working on and on top of that the games industry as a whole atleast the triple A side of things have been growing very stagnant with all of the remakes and remasters especially when it comes to story driven games so it's exciting to see a already well trained and experienced team going out to potentially create a new IP

as you see with most long standing series when devs leave almost all the time the next game is different. and rarely if ever for the better.
I really enjoyed story-wise the Jedi games. However, I just don't enjoy the parkour as in Fractured Determination and Momentum, and everything it took to get all the collectibles. I had hoped they would tone down the parkour for Survivor, but instead they raised it exponentially. The mechanics for the fractured parkour challenges were not consistent to nearly broken, and that was part of the problem. I am hesitant to even get into a Jedi 3 when it's released, I just want a straight fight, but I'll probably end up having to endure stressful parkour for that too.
I hope they do make a Jedi game. There is a story that needs to be completed.

Its a fan concept. If you watch the video Andrew did on the cancelled Star Wars FPS from Respawn, I used a few fan concept game clips for footage. So I used a bit of it here as well.

It'd be cool if it was a third person mandalorian game where you could start out and explore mandalore and Concordia later. Have dlc like assassin's creed depending on whether you play as a male character or female character. So the dlc would be jango fett, boba Fett, Mando, pre vizsla and Bo Katan and Sabine armour. Be kind of like Star wars Jedi but more mandalorian type weapons. Maybe make them a bit force sensitive like limited abilities. Also be able to customize your ship and it's type. Would love to pilot a Mandalorian fighter!

Better cancelnit than scew it up. The ending was great as it was. I dont need them to kill my 3 favorite characters as well, also the writing was fantastic, but the driving force behind the writing is gone, the vision went with him, thew authors wont have the same vision...

When first started playing survivor, I use to have small talks with a mate of mine every couple of hours without spoiling for each other, discussing what we liked or disliked etc.. and I was adamant that survivor was a step up from fallen order and he kept saying naaah "less is more" this is just unnecessary bloating. After the mid point of the game I started to understand what he was talking about and came to agree with him by end game. Sometimes less is actually more.

I greatly love both games and have 5 days on each, and safe to say survivors maps are of both higher quality and quantity than fallen order.

My only hope is that is well optimized this time, Jedi Survivor is pretty much still broken on PC regarding performance.
For sure I'm not gonna pre-buy this one and if the perfomance is so bad too, I'm not even going to buy it in the future obviously, is sad cause I love the story, gameplay and characters, I don't want to leave the world Respawn has created.
If it wasn't because I wanted to watch the story unreveled so bad, I would have dropped the game after the first 5 hours without finishing it, and I rushed to finish it because of the perfomance issues I was having during the entire playthrough, instead of taking my time with the game which is what I usually do.
I never pre-buy games, Jedi Survivor was the exception and I'm sure they lost the trust of a lot of PC gamers that we're fans of the game, shame on Respawn for not fixing yet the PC version, shame on EA for making them release it in that state.
Even Cyberpunk 2077 runs much better (after a lot of fixing too, but at least they fixed it on PC), which is arguably a more demanding game or it should be, in Jedi Survivor there's still constant framedrops, stuttering and popping amongst other graphical issues.

Star Wars Skyrim. Hell yeah, that’s what I’m thinking. Like your own Jedi, and story in the past when the Sith Order was still established. A journey in the outer rim and fighting powerful force beings. With the multiple outcomes. Like turning sith or super Jedi. Basically something like KOTOR, but with today’s graphics

I still have some hope for Respawn. Yes, it would be sad if Jedi: 3 would be worse or not significantly better than Survivor, but at least manageable.
But it would be a disaster if they ruin the plot. This is the part they have no right to fail.

Now I’m concerned with the Jedi series. It would truly suck if Jedi 3 in the trilogy be the game that failed to move the series forward or capture the magic of the first two games.
Reminds me of the Spyro games. The first three games from one studio was great, as soon as they left and other studios did Spyro, the series went downhill. I hope history doesn’t repeat itself here.

All right, since there’s another Jedi 3 video here I want to give my thoughts on what I would think would be cool for another game Vader finds Tanolorr and they use Cordova’s data to find a another place to hide they figure out what happened to the Zeffo they got wiped out by a Starweird colony on the way to their destination in the unknown regions I think the Starweirds should be the main threat along with maybe a whole new ancient evil we never seen before everyone is going to have a different opinion, but I think starweirds are so badass and deserve more respect and attention in mainstream Star Wars it would definitely have survival horror elements especially with Vader and the starweirds being involved
