Fixing a Robot Lawn Mower Broken Perimeter Wire (Landroid, Husqvarna, Gardena, Robomow)

- The video I never wanted to make, hahaha. My perimeter wire came loose and the Worx Landroid managed to run over and cut it in two. In case you have never had to fix the wire, or make your perimeter bigger by connecting two pieces of wire, here is a quick video showing how to use the included wire connectors.
Let me know if you have any questions in the comments and thanks for watching my video.

The way to find a broken buried boundary wire: Take a lawn mower or any small engine, unhook the boundary wire at the base, wrap that wire around the spark plug wire, start the engine. Get a AM radio with an antenna adjust the radio to around the lowest AM radio station listen for the static with the antenna close from the spark plug connected wire, follow the boundary wire listening to the static, once it stops start digging for your break. I had to do this 2 times so far.
Great tip. Luckily for me, I cut the wire so I knew exactly where it was.
Will you be able to do a video to show steps of what stuff you use and how to go about it. 😅 I just had my wiring missing after aeration 🤦♀️
Can't wait to purchase one , but will wait until after the growing season is over. Will wait for March/April. Thanks.......
I cannot find any broken wire. I'm at my wits end. Wire locator, radio, nothing worked. I just get a red light and wire missing ALL THE TIME. Made a front yard zone, wire missing. Back yard zone, wire missing. So wire is broken in two places??? How did it get back to the dock on it's own then? Something is wrong and cust svc won't help me. What should I do., I'm going mad
I'm sorry you are having trouble. Have you used a new piece of wire and connected it to both ends to see if the green light comes up? Maybe it is the base that has something wrong?
@@HangingOutWithMike I had the same problem. I found that the mower had skimmed some of the insulating cover off the cable and the weather had effected the wire. The only way to find the fault is to inspect the whole way around the wire and cut out and replace the damage section.
Thanks! I appreciate the detail!
Glad to help!
Hello, mine doesn't show any red light (it's still green) but I get this message that "wire is missing". Do you have any idea? I really appreciate if you respond
I have no clue to be honest, but maybe try registering the landroid with it on the base. If I remember correctly, the landroid also needs to be on the same wireless network as your phone. If everything registered correctly, maybe you have too much wire and the signal is too weak for the landroid to pick up? I'm sorry I am not more help at the moment. I will try and do some research and figure it out.
Thaks😊
You are welcome! Thanks for watching and I hope it helped.
Thank you. Easy👍
Thanks Mike ! :)

No problem 👍
Excellent, you saved my day🙏
Glad to hear that
Another useful video, thx Mike 👍
Thanks, I really appreciate that.
next time, bury the wire in the ground :D
It was my first time doing something like this so I wasn't sure if the robot would have been able to pick up the wire if it was buried.
what a big chunk of plastic lol, it could be 3x smaller
