IMSA puts on an excellent event. Was great to make it here in person this year and now I can rewatch it...thanks IMSA!!! I'm going to miss the Porsche RSR so much though :(
@@WyldStallion-bs9oo did you ever watch pirelli world challenge, before SRO took it over it was Pro GT3 on a lot of the same tracks imsa uses, I think GTD pro will be great to watch judging by the battles pwc used to have… I know their not the top class on the track but I think it will be entertaining none the less
I'll disagree with that. Manufacturers are the sole reason IMSA has a TV package as they pay for their TV coverage as where other sports organizations (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, etc.) are paid to have their product on Network TV. Therefore, because the TV expense is subsidized by manufacturers, TV coverage is spread equally across all of them.
A shame though, IMSA in my opinion is a lot more exiting to watch than NFL, NBA or NASCAR. You guys definitely deserve a bigger audience, just like WEC.
@@PandyTimBR I feel like advertising could be better for sure in the US. I watched plenty of nascar growing up, never heard of IMSA until I started playing iRacing.
@@Jimmy-fj4iu here’s the thing, advertising is not cheap, and unfortunately IMSA does not have F1, NASCAR or Indy money, they actually have to pay to TV broadcasters to broadcast their races unlike F1 and NASCAR where companies pay them to get the broadcasting rights to it. It’s a shame though but unfortunately is how our world works
it speaks alot of IMSA's taking safety of everyone, that the drivers were able to come out of the cars with hopefully little medical issues. good work!
@@drewgalbraith4499 No. I just have it in a small window in a corner of one of my monitors. Work is about the only time I get enough consecutive hours to get the race completely done.
the petit le mans is my second most favorite american endurance race just after the sebring 12 hour race, i've enjoyed the petit le mans every year because road atlanta is such an amazing racing circuit
As always, thanks for the upload, IMSA. Great stuff! ❤️ And really enjoying Johnny Mowlem's contribution to the commentary team - he fits in really nicely in my opinion with Hindy, Jeremy, and Shea and complements them nicely with the perspective of a real past driver.
Recently got into sim racing and gt racing this is awesome I'm not big on Nascar I don't know why this isn't a bigger sport in the USA these are awesome race will definitely be catching next season live and maybe hopefully in person
Great season IMSA! What are the commenters thoughts on Tire Warmers in IMSA? Im hearing its to keep costs down to make it easier to enter IMSA but does a wrecked car and wrecked race outweigh the cost of the warmers? If I owned a pro/am or just AM team I would want to minimize expensive mistakes and give my AM drivers an easier and safer stint. Any thoughts?
The cold tire issue is much greater for this running of PLM due to it being run a month and a half later in the year than it is usually scheduled for… I personally don’t think it makes too much of a difference from a viewers perspective, the challenge of driving a car in the limit as the temps increase is exciting, but the downside of it potentially causing extra yellows is pretty shitty (especially with how long imsa can take to get back to green)
Just visit the 2021 WeatherTech Championship or 2021 Motul Petit Le Mans playlist and you'll find it at the top, ua-cam.com/video/JU6ALF-Xlxs/v-deo.html This year's broadcast will be available on 10/6. Thanks!
We'll miss you GT class! Let's hope Corvette makes a GT3 variant or maybe even bring back the Camaro GT4 to IMSA. (I heard the current GT classes are being retired for world GT ruleset) .
Corvette previously confirmed a GTD PRO entry for 2022. www.imsa.com/news/2021/11/11/corvette-confirms-gtd-pro-entry-for-2022-customer-gt3-race-car-for-2024/
Man, when GRT has a good race, they win. When they don't, it seems to be catastrophic. (Didn't they win at Belle Isle?) I love the Lambo, but those fast little green ones are cursed!
After watching 3.5 hours: I thought there were 43 cars in that race... but it seemed like there were only 7. (and some other cars driving in their way, or having a spin now and then.) From the timing board one could see, that there were so many overtakes and lead changes in GTD and GTLM and leaders and 2nd and 3rd within seconds, but i saw nearly nothing of that in the picture, not even in replays. As someone who prefers GT over LMP ( although they are also very nice) i must say, i'm a little bit disappointed
thanks for the very very nice racing and IMSA Series. This is Racing

Condolences to the Bondurant family. What a great guy. A motor sports legend. Rest in peace Bob.
Bondurant's book taught me how to drive. I use his methods to teach my children now.
thank you for the upload. i was at turn 10 for the first hour or so...but i had gone back to basecamp to "layer up" for the night shift
What a race and a great looking circuit.
5:50 RACE START !!!
merci IMSA for da up ;)
enjoy da last one of 2021 ;)
Finally watching this. So glad to hear everyone was ok in that pile up. Amazed to see Jordan walk out of the car so easy after that hit. Scary stuff.
thx for part 1 IMSA, onto part 2.
“Don’t flirt with the dirt!” Great race
Thank you for the sharing of the Good, wrecks, race/ IMSA Part 1 video

Can’t wait for Daytona. Excited when LMDh comes too
Thank You And Farewell Mazda 💔
Thank you for the upload, it has been an amazing year, I will miss the GT LM cars next year but hopefully GTD Pro gives us a lot of good racing
Finally, the wait has been unbearable
The racing is so clear &close
man who forces it 3 wide in the first lap of a 10h race honestly

Just funny how they talk about Earl Bamber, an two times LM24 overall winner, like a Rookie^^

They unfortunately did not run at Belle Isle this season. They had best finishes of 7th at Lime Rock Park and 9th at VIR.
720p?
@2:50 made me think of Kimi ☺️
Wow that sun glare at 7:02:00 idk how the drivers handle that.
I do wish they showed this at least in 1080p .

Think how great this would be without DP and GTD.
Made it to the first safety car and had flash backs of Indy 8 hour. US endurance racing is becoming unwatchable, IMO.
