I wanted to share a great tale from yesterday's session. So me and my buddy are on a Gold Hoarder Voyage on our Wild Rose Sloop when we spot an "Eternal Freedom" Galleon. As we are not good at pvp especially in 4 vs 2 we immediately set sail to dodge them. As they get closer, we spot another sloop... With DA sails... I thought this to be our end, but it turned out they where NOT allied so the expert sloop fought hard with the galleon, and we stood a fighting chance. But as our supplies dwindled, the galleon seemed like they didnt have a supply problem. Constantly taking up their sails after being chainshot by the DA Sloop. We reach an outpost (don't even remember which one from the intensity of the moments) and as the fight continues I sell most of our treasures one by one, while our sloop circles the outpost At last we see an opening to escape. A rock formation is in front of us and my buddy, a capable helmsman, decides that we should try a "Jack Sparrow move" (the old wheel and anchor turn trick) so when they expect us to get out of the formation we are sailing back with the wind on our favor. There it was, one of the best sailing moments that I had in SoT, and I'm playing since Day 1. It's about the adventure, not the loot after all. In an age that gaming is all about being "top, best, world's first", Rare give us an adventure like no other. At last, I can say money very well spent on my preorder package. Hope that you liked the story, although my narration is nothing like Cliff!

Imma be honest I love pvp but getting destroyed twice or more in the same session and getting spawn camped can make me take breaks from the game. I play the game a lot less than I would like to because of toxic pvpers that keep killing me after seeing I have nothing on board

iv played maybe 3 hours of sea of thieves, didnt really care for the game and yet i still watch every single one of these videos, i realized i just love the way to tell the storys of your adventures on the sea
I'm surprised how most of your expeditions always work out for you, we literally can't do anything with every expedition, for example, today they chased us with a galleon for about half an hour. Great video, have you ever considered having a membership? I would like to support you somehow :)
Well, remember that I don't necessarily turn every session into a video. I show the ones that are interesting. Sometimes, things going wrong is exactly that, other times things go according to plan. Also don't worry about that, just watching is support enough!
Yeah some people on this game are weirdos, once got chased for about half an hour by a brig as a solo sloop, having no loot and no emissary flag up, was just trying to do a vault voyage. Was sick of it once I went to devil's roar and they followed me through 3 volcanos getting hit a lot by every one and still kept chasing. At that point I just closed the game 😕
I found your channel because I was looking for tips and tricks in SoT. Little did I know I'd run into one of the most entertaining UA-cam Channels out there. Love it dude!
I got to say I started playing sea of thieves again since your previous video and that’s how I found your channel and I love all of your videos, your my favorite UA-camr right now
Having gone through the hunter's call grind I cannot help but find myself just, crying in my mind over how little those fish help for levelling and how you should use all those gems for hunter's instead Good video as always, of course! But damn that hunter's grind has left some lasting effects on my psyche
Firstly thanks so much for the Amazon video cliff- this was really entertaining and a great pick-me-up! Secondly, the PvP in this game is kinda messed up for now. I was just doing some merchant alliance voyages and I got to grade 5 when I was looking for a bit of PvP action. I saw some random reaper sloop (two man) coming my way and I headed towards it. I'm pretty sure it saw my emissary flag and just left. And here I was thinking that merchants were the least scary faction!
I think one of my proudest SoT PvP moments is from a recent voyage. Getting jumped by an arena sloop on a brig, I managed to run from the helm to a canon took down their mast and peppered them with a few blunder bombs leaving them spinning in place. While firing I overheard on the sloop's hotmic "Oh SH*T these guys are serious!" which made me feel like I'd started coming into my own as a PvP pirate from starting as a PvE only Solo Slooper. P.S. Only reason I abandoned the helm was our 3rd was swimming around trying to board the sloop and refused to come back when we called, and our second was ferrying back after getting 1 blundered.
I just started watching your vids today and the way it’s all presented is so excellent and fitting for your name, it’s engaging and is like a visual summary of a friend’s story
So far I've managed to be left alone but the few times I've had to defend myself have been really cool because you have so much freedom with the ways you can move around
When I saw the title say "This is PvP In sea of thieves" I knew it was going to be a good video. My favourite part is letting a player tucking on your ship and saying "yeah leave him there" thinking you can get the upper hand and then it all back fires later. awesome video cliff and congrats on 100k subscribers!
Thanks cliff I finally got sea of thieves and watched your new player guide. I found a friendly sloop that was doing these ghost ship things and then I found another friendly ship a galleon doing something with colourful lights and they had a tic tac toe board. It was very fun thank you for convincing me to get it. I made no money but they were fun people to play with.
I absolutely love your content, I constantly bingewatch your videos. Seen all of them and they motivate me to play Sea of Thieves plus i absolutely adore when you have the meg summon as a background song!
What he mentioned at 4:11 about hunters call being hard to grind bc of fish, remember that you can sell them mermaid gems for quite a substantial chunk of reputation
A funny story involving a Reaper Emissary. I was milling about the Reaper's Hideout when I found a Coral bottle on the shore. I figured I had nothing better to do, so I set sail just south toward it. I find a level 3 Reaper Emissary Brig circling the shrine in question, and was like "Welp, either they'll leave me be because I'm a 1 man sloop with no Emissary flag or loot, or they'll sink me because I'm a 1 man sloop with no Emissary flag or loot" As I approach them, I see their ship tilt and sink. All their Ghost loot floated up and even their flag. You BET I cashed all that in instead of actually DOING the shrine! There were also no merfolk, so they all just bailed. With a bunch of loot. And an Emissary flag. And all I did was LOOK at them!
im very much someone who is afraid of pvp and will often go very far out of the way to avoid it. money making is slow and frustrating that way, lol. watching your videos has let me try and fight skeleton ships on my own (my friends hate pvp more than i do), just to get some practice in. cheers, and happy sailing :)
It took me longer than I'd like to admit to recognize the Conan Exiles music, lol. I was swearing it was Age of Empires 3, that kind of grandiose feeling. Good video though, very entertaining.
Hey cliff I have a video idea for you! So I really enjoyed your video where you held all your loot at a sea fort but it all despwaned. If you take a ship to shark bait cove you can put your ship in the middle of it in the pond and it won’t disappear because the ship is technically in water. You could use a rowboat to collect loot and bring it back to shark bait cove
You gotta appreciate when you tell new players stuff that might danger them when they don't know the ins and outs of the Seas. Also, you know they're gonna love traveling via Meg.
For the ashen lord I’ve figured out you can park your ship near the boss BEFORE you start the event without aggroing it. Then when it uses the phase 3 attack, you can lay into it with cannons quickly

What he mentioned at 4:11 about hunters call being hard to grind bc of fish, remember that you can sell them mermaid gems for quite a substantial chunk of reputation
I love this video format please make more videos like this!
A funny story involving a Reaper Emissary. I was milling about the Reaper's Hideout when I found a Coral bottle on the shore. I figured I had nothing better to do, so I set sail just south toward it. I find a level 3 Reaper Emissary Brig circling the shrine in question, and was like "Welp, either they'll leave me be because I'm a 1 man sloop with no Emissary flag or loot, or they'll sink me because I'm a 1 man sloop with no Emissary flag or loot"
As I approach them, I see their ship tilt and sink. All their Ghost loot floated up and even their flag. You BET I cashed all that in instead of actually DOING the shrine!
There were also no merfolk, so they all just bailed. With a bunch of loot. And an Emissary flag. And all I did was LOOK at them!
Wow, that was entertaining, wunderbar Cliff.
Gotta respect the use of the Conan Exiles theme there near the end of the video.
Cliff you are such a great player you literally help people out if they don’t know anything you are a Saint love your videos!!!
5:20 caught me off guard so hard
im very much someone who is afraid of pvp and will often go very far out of the way to avoid it. money making is slow and frustrating that way, lol. watching your videos has let me try and fight skeleton ships on my own (my friends hate pvp more than i do), just to get some practice in. cheers, and happy sailing :)
Being in the reaper emissary and doing world events is all me and my buddy did when ashen winds was released
Hey cliff when that guy said “ AUUUUUGHHH” that is actually a snoring meme and he just felt like sharing it
You know for a channel whit its first video released 6 months ago whit such amazing quality is just incredible
Thank you for another video Cliff, I always look forward to see them! Your good at storytelling and also having a interesting video :D
I just finished a reaper world event and pvp grind and this is nice to watch after it
5:22 man that sound is a huge meme. They weren’t frustrated they were tryna be funny

You gotta appreciate when you tell new players stuff that might danger them when they don't know the ins and outs of the Seas. Also, you know they're gonna love traveling via Meg.
The meg fast travel is one of the greatest things in this game
For the ashen lord I’ve figured out you can park your ship near the boss BEFORE you start the event without aggroing it. Then when it uses the phase 3 attack, you can lay into it with cannons quickly
it only takes about 10 minutes solo without a ship so I don't see a reason to bring it around and risk it taking damage
Alright, how do you keep being so relatable to my gameplay, literally yesterday I started pvping in Sot
it's my magic 😎👉👉
dropped a like for the conan exiles music towards the end
I love your commentary god I get so excited when I see a new upload on your channel keep up the good work cliff! :D
