as far as i know, you can throw the map bundle in water and the burried treassure will still stay on for another 2 hours. the only time you need the bundle is if you get server merged because then the treassure will despawn if you dont have the map bundle. but on a server as full as yours was i wouldent be worryed. i allways throw the bundle away and i never got my stuff despanwed.

"Remember when you used to have to do things in this game?" Man, I used to hop servers and go to FOTD's to see if they had all or most lights already up before I committed to gathering ritual skulls lol. New players will never know how much sailing was needed to do things, or how much time every aspect of the game took compared to now. Automatic loot gathering with harpoons and the sovereigns are by far the best newer additions if you ask me. Gathering and selling large loot stacks could take an hour or more before that.

Bro, literally yesterday, me and my friends were on a gally stacking FoTD. There were a number of sloops and brigs around, we sunk a sloop and got Skelly shipped. We were all on cannons and we had three Athena’s stacked behind the captains chair. Someone got on while we were fighting (I assume) and stole our Athena’s and used our rowboat to get away.

Mason you can skip the animation of burying when the shovel hits the ground by pulling out another item or quest radial map.
